  • Cherokee's Captain's View

"The name fits as several super friendly, retired men of Cherokee gather each day viewing the sound with coffee in hand at the nearby "Long Dock." The beautifully furnished Captains Views is located with a SW view of Cherokee Sound. Superb wading flats provide easy access to schools of bonefish. The cable TV, complete kitchen and comfortable furnishings met all of our needs. The nearest restaurant in Little Harbour has good food just 15 minutes away and a very interesting art gallery. The bikes and kayaks which were included, made for easy transportation around town. The one grocery store is well stocked and expect to pay quite a bit more as the sticker shock will encourage you to shop in Marsh Harbor's grocery, Maxwell's, on your next visit to Captain's View. If you want nightlife, a lot of opportunity to share stories and meet fellow vacationers while indulging in adult beverages, I'd go elsewhere. This community is ideal for experienced DIY flyfishers, and those wanting to get away to rejuvenate the soul and experience a quieter lifestyle."

  • Fabulous snorkeling and views

"Ocean, hills, sailing ships, quiet, beauty - everywhere we turned we found all of the above, starting with the expansive view from the deck and at perfect beach after perfect beach. We love to snorkel - we recommend Simpson and Nail Bays - and were out for hours every day in the crystal clear waters or tucked under a palm tree on the beach. It was a little crowded right at the Baths (though worth seeing), but there were many other spots that were virtually deserted, none more than a 15 minute drive away. Michael, the owner, was exceptionally responsive and considerate, from start to finish, and we always felt genuinely well cared for, especially as we navigated the plane/ferry/car rental connections. The notebook at the house was stuffed with info and ideas, and the nearby manager was easily available. The house is spacious, quiet, and simply lovely. Two couples can easily fit in with lots of privacy. From the north-facing deck we enjoyed many rainbows, boats, and stars overhead. Of note, eating out was rather costly and limited in quality, so we cooked most of our meals at home. We definitely recommend a car - and the property - and hope to return some day."

  • Once again, the best

"Deciding that we would return to St Barthelemy for our wedding anniversary, at first I was setback that I could not find Le Perchoir in the various rental companys' villa listings. On a prior trip we enjoyed a wonderful stay at Le Perchoir. My wife suggested to just type the name in a web search and see what comes up. And this is why we are lovingly married- this, Le Perchoir, website appeared, our week was available, and we promptly booked directly with the very personable owners, Michel & Jany. We again were able to appreciate the views, the natural landscaped setting, the convenience and the amenities of this beautiful place on earth. Read the other glowing reviews - it is all true and you will not be disappointed!"

  • Perfect

"We were lucky enough to rent #13 at The Retreat on Rum Point. It was fantastic! Perfect beach for relaxing, reading, sunning and snorkeling! The marine life right there was AWESOME! Loved the décor in the condo...lots of nice comfy towels and tons of little extras included! Great place to get away from it all. You felt like you had the whole resort to yourself! Beautiful setting. Would go back in a second! WILL go back! It is the perfect place to get away from it all, or walk next door to Rum Point and be in the thick of things! Red Sail sports next door is handy for any activities....and nice people to deal with!"
