"We rented this house for a week and had a fantastic time. We were celebrating a special birthday for my wife and planned a surprise getaway with our three adult kids (and grandchild). Fortunately for us, the houses on either side of us were empty for the week so we had 3 miles of white sandy beach to ourselves. Walks in the morning with our coffee looking to see what washed up on the beach, snorkeling around the reef or casting a fishing rod during the day and just relaxing by the pool in the evening provided the perfect setting. Spectacular sun rises and sunsets along with star gazing later in the evening were reasons to jump up in the morning and stay up most of the night.
We had a chance to stop at a couple of the local restaurants and the food was surprisingly good. Calling ahead was given new meaning when we found out that you actually had to call the restaurants by noon and order your meal then. It was well worth it, the food was great. We even had a night of pizza where one of the locals "went off" menu and made about 8 pizzas for us.
The majority of us never left the property. When we did, we either left for dining out a couple nights or replenishing the spirit waters that seemed to flow amply throughout the day. Grocery stores were nearby and we became a bit of a spectacle when we left with 3 shopping carts full of food the first day.
The only issue for the week was the "no - see 'ims" which Kevin and Holton warned us about. They are these little tiny fleas (thus the name) and the pack a pretty good bite - somewhat like a mosquito bite. We were all fine until around Wednesday evening when they came out. We found the best remedy was to drink more alcohol...
As some of the other reviews mentioned, if you are looking for tranquility and privacy, this is the place."

"My family and I stayed at Emerald Estate for our summer vacation and we could not be more pleased with the accomodations! Alpheus met us at the dock along with our car rental, which he recommended and escorted us back to this impressive house. Upon arrival, he gave us the lay of land and even gave us a cell phone to use on the island. The house is well appointed with all the essentials, super clean and very comfortable. The house sits on the point, so you feel like you are on your own private island! The view of the water from the house is gorgeous and even more impressive from the upstairs patio. Grab a cocktail and take in the sunset and tranquail scenery...ahhhh...paradise!
The island itself is very quiet as well as Middle Caicos. It's not like being on a cookie cutter tropical resort. These islands are made to explore and to create your own adventure, which is exactly what we were looking for. The locals are fabulous and if you get a chance, stop by Miss B's for great food and hospitality- love her and her sister Dorothy! They even have books for you to borrow at your leisure. Visit Nat for fresh fish and Sasha at the Aquatic for her great snapper dish. Last Chance Bar & Grille in Bottlecreek has a great view and food to boot! Also, swing by the Barracuda Beach Bar for drinks in the evening and hang out with some of the locals.
I do recommend getting most of your groceries from Provo and odds/ends from the local markets. This ensures that you will be well equipped for the duration of your stay.
So, if you are thinking about renting from Alpheus, do not hesitate! You will not be dissapointed. We truly had a wonderful time at Emerald Estates....we are looking forward to coming back!"

"Perfect in every way ~ Location 5 ~ Comfort 5 ~ Sleep Quality 5 ~ Service 5 ~ Amenities & Facilities 5
Peace & Tranquility 5 ~ Communication 5
The sound of the ocean ~ always priceless. The lovely breeze through the bedroom, no need for A/C - perfect.
Watching night Herons drinking water from the foot bath, seeing a large mother OSPREY catching breakfast just in front and being blessed with a pink FLAMINGO flying past me were our highlights at the house - breakfast and lunch alfresco on the spacious BREEZY wraparound veranda was heaven. Full Moon over the water. Snoozing in the hammock and time to just be. A very special place indeed with KJ's supermarket just around the corner and the Pelican beach Bar just a stroll up the beach (Donna's Gully Wash Cocktail was delish). Everyone so friendly in North Caicos just like where we live here in Antigua & Barbuda ~ VRBO # 507966 ~ once an island women.......always an island women. For people that like to kick back and relax beach comb, birdspotting, fishing and snorkeling and be at one with nature you cannot beat staying on or near the beach. Hopefully you will enjoy your stay as much as we did at WHITBY WHITE HOUSE. My husband loved fly fishing for BONEFISH with a guide from Bottle Creek - He caught 4. We will be back and stay longer next year. Thankyou so much for sharing your home with us Lynne & Brian."

"Can not say enough good about these owners. Kadra and her husband truly go out of their way from moment one until the moment you leave. Everything was arranged from taxis to ferry to car. And when one of the people on our trip had flight issues it was all rearranged. The house was great and the beach magnificent. The owner runs a grocery store and liquor store and this makes it almost like an inclusive package. While you pay for those items it is so easy and everything taken care of in one stop. The one thing this ad does not do justice to is the proximity to the beach and the beauty of the beach. We had it nearly entirely to ourselves the whole weekend, it is mere steps from the house and breath taking. The addition of having the pool at the house is a real plus too. Oh and the dog is the coolest. She followed us to the beach each day and watched us like it was her job to take care of the guests. Can not wait to go back!!!!"
