The northern shores of North Caicos are home to some of the island’s most beautiful beaches. It is along here that many vacation homes are located. Whitby Beach is a seven-mile long stretch of sandy white beach. Three Mary’s Cay is a popular snorkeling and swimming area. If you’d like you go exploring, you can rent sea kayaks and spend an afternoon exploring the coastline. The beaches are protected by coral reefs so paddling can be enjoyed in calm blue waters along the coast. If you prefer something less energetic, you can charter a boat to take you on a coastal sightseeing excursion. Scuba, sailing, fishing and boating charters are available from a broad range of reputable companies. Excursions are easy to arrange on arrival in North Caicos.

For those that want to see some of the interior, a great way to explore is to hire mountain bikes. Take a full day and cycle the quiet island roads stopping at places of interest along the way. For those with a historical interest, a visit to the Turks and Caicos National Museum is a must. Here, you can learn all about the island’s interesting history which includes tales of pirates, slavery, and British Colonization. The museum is a rich resource of historical artifacts, pictures and written archives. Special exhibits are dedicated to the history of slavery and emancipation and life during colonial occupation.

The southern shores of North Caicos are home to a beautiful and protected bird sanctuary. It is here that you can see vast populations of pink flamingoes in their wild environment. This is one of five protected reserves and sanctuaries on North Caicos.

Getting to North Caicos Villas

From North America or Europe, you will fly into Provenciales International Airport. From there, you will connect on to North Caicos with a local charter flight which takes approximately 12 minutes. Alternatively, you can travel by boat to the island. Once on North Caicos, the easiest way to get to your vacation home is by taxi.

When to Travel to North Caicos

North Caicos has a warm tropical climate which makes it an ideal all-year travel destination. Tropical storms do occur late in the summer season which is between June and November. Most rainfall occurs in the warmer months, although the showers are usually isolated storms which quickly clear. The island is characterized by clear skies and sunshine for most of the year.
