  • The Alexandra is The Best of All The Provo Resorts

"Our trip was fantastic. We've traveled the world and this is the bluest water we have seen. The Alexandra Resort grounds are very nice. While there we also saw both The Sands and Club Med and neither were nearly as nice. Our studio room was well equipped with a fridge, microwave and toaster oven as well as a kitchen sink and washer/dryer. The room was not large but the décor made it feel larger. All granite kitchen and bath with beautifully tiled shower. Our room had a large balcony with an ocean view but the palm trees blocked much of the view. We were on the 2nd floor, higher floors would have better views over the trees. We met 2 pilots and a stewardess during our day pass at Club Med. They lay over on the island every week at different resorts. They know most of the resorts and said The Alexandra is absolutely their favorite to stay at. It isn't an all-inclusive like Club Med but the views, the balconies, and the heavenly bedding can't be beat. By contrast Club Med has no balconies, no ocean views, poured concrete everywhere (Alexandra has patio pavers, much nicer). Club Med's pool is a giant rectangle, flat and forgettable. Ours was curvy with a swim up bar several bridges over it, pavers and garden all around it. Club Med was built in 1981 and looks 30 years out of date. The Alexandra is modern and well maintained. Great location, we biked and walked everywhere, no need to rent a car. We loved the day trip snorkeling, sea turtles, star fish and dozens of conchs. We're coming back one day and when we do we're staying at The Alexandra again!"

  • Excellent stay, friendly staff, good food and drinks

"We rented the Penthouse because of our anniversary vacation. The view is ocean front. The pictures are accurate. The very large one bedroom 1.5 baths was aplenty of room for us. The Penthouse was very clean and fully functional. All kitchen utensils made it easy to cook but we loved the Somewhere cafe- it feeds my Tex-Mex addiction. Great reasonably priced food with wonderful staff- Travis, Larry and Tina were perfect servers. Don't drink too much and try to walk back to the Penthouse with 3 flights of stairs :-). Check in was a bit confusing because there is two office because of the dual purpose (personal owned and facility operated rented) but once we got that sorted out quickly the concierge Jerome made us feel very welcome. He offered to help in any way, by giving us our own cell phone for island use and told us to call his cell if I ever needed anything - very nice guy!! Kevin was also one of the managers near the bar/restaurant and really made sure we were always happy. Jaya and Leanne was very helpful during the booking to assure I knew what the differences were as they had different options for accommodations - we went for the best available and really appreciate their advise. One of the best features of the property is the swim out coral reef. We rented the gear from the on site shop. The Snuba adventure uses the same reef and is a must!!! We frequently rent from VRBO and this was a great find! Thank you LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE PENTHOUSE WAS THE BEST!!!!"

  • Bliss at boutiquie hotel on Grace Bay

"I would recommend this property in a heartbeat! Here's why: location, location, location! We traveled all over the island and viewed other properties. Several times throughout our 10 night stay we commented on how perfect Villa Renaissance was for our needs. As seasoned Homeaway/VRBO renters, it was easy to chose this property. We realized several years back renting a villa/condo is often cheaper or similarly priced to staying in a one room hotel. It allows you to get a true feel of staying on the island that a regular hotel room can not. It can save you money by allowing you to cook meals at home rather than go out to eat 3 meals a day, every day. There were many restaurants within a 1-2 minute walk. Several shops were available within the same boutique area. The grocery store was about a 5 min. walk. There are bikes available at the resort along with tennis at no extra charge. The pool is strategically located behind the building which shelters swimmers from the wind, yet one could still see the ocean from the pool. Also having a washer/dryer available in the individual unit made it convenient to pack light. Of course, the AMAZING beach is right outside your doorstep. The turquoise water with clear visibility along with gradually sloped entry was divine. There were really no bugs to bother you during the day. Although when dining out in the evening at restaurants, I would advise you to put on bug spray. The villa is clean, nicely decorated, very roomy and provided a good vantage point to look at the ocean from a higher floor. The staff was genuinely pleasant and truly want you to have a wonderful stay while at Villa Renaissance. Nicola was wonderful to correspond with for the reservation process along with answering any questions pertaining to the property and also recommended several great restaurants per our requests. Mel's warm personality made it relaxing to tour our villa upon arrival. She was eager to help with any activities or excursions we planned. This is the perfect pick if you are looking for peace and quiet during your stay on the island, yet extremely close to everything should you venture out. While a car rental is not necessary, I would recommend renting one for a few days as there are so many wonderful things to see and experience for such a small island. I am thankful the villa owners offer this villa to rent on Turks & Caicos. It really was FABULOUS!"

  • A Perfect Family Holiday!

"To celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, my husband and I took our family to Windrose Estate for a week in February. There were 9 adults in our group and we all loved our holiday! The houses were as perfect as shown in the photos and we were so comfortable with the lovely beach decor and comfortable furnishings. We made most of our meals together in the generous kitchen. We found the grocery store to be close and so convenient. Mostly we enjoyed the water being so close and loved the view from the deck. We loved the warm temperatures but it was cool enough at night so we never felt that we needed to use the air conditioning. The staff who helped us when we arrived were super and it was such a great pleasure to have Basia helping us as we planned our trip. We would all love to go back. It was so relaxing and really just a perfect holiday!"
