Recent Grace Bay reviews

  • Lovely One Bedroom in Paradise!

"My husband and I stayed in this condo for a week. We loved it. I'm surprised to read the negative reviews. Nothing is ever perfect, not even home! We found the resort itself to be beautifully maintained by friendly but unobtrusive staff. It is on a lovely stretch of Grace Bay and they have more than ample beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. We loved being able to take the short walk to the Cabana Bar to grab a drink and/or a meal for the beach. We also had a dinner and some drinks one night outside at the Cabana Bar. Delicious fish! As for the condo itself, we found it to be spacious, modern and clean. It is on the 3rd floor and has vaulted ceilings that add to the spacious feeling. We loved the wrap around screened in porch. We had the windows open for the entire week and there were beautiful breezes to sit an enjoy a cocktail and watch the sunset, read a book or take a siesta! The kitchen is well equipped and they provide an ample starter set of supplies such as toilet paper, dish / dishwasher / laundry detergent, paper towels, etc. Graceway Gourmet is only about 5 minutes down the road by car. Bob was very responsive to all of our questions. We hope to rent again for next winter!! It is a little slice of paradise. We were very sad to leave."

  • A great place for a great vacation

"We just returned from a 2 week stay(April 25 -May 9,2015)and we really have to agree with all the other positive reviews posted by others who used Jody’s studio. You could not find a more enjoyable spot. So we thought we add just a little more information that would help you see why it’s so great. It’s a studio.- but enough room for 2 adults to be very comfortable. The porch has a seating area and a table. You can see the pool and enjoy coffee or drinks in a comfortable setting. The kitchen space is well equipped for 2. There are dishes, utensils, a few pots and pans and a small hot plate. A small refrigerator can hold ice(in a small freezer) and things you might buy in the grocery store. The complex(the Alexandrea) is also an ideal setting. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided at no charge. We did not rent a car and really didn't need one. It would have been nice to have one to tour the whole island and to visit far away restaurant but we really didn't miss it. The resort has a shuttle($7 a person -round trip) to the grocery store every day. The restaurant on the property is very good and there are many more quality restaurants with in walking distance. They also provide free shuttle service to there sister properties(the Beach House and the Blue Haven) and there you can use all of the facilities at no charge. The Coral Garden Reef is a few minutes away from the Beach House and has out standing snorkeling. Just walk right out from the beach. We enjoyed our stay at Jody's place so much we already scheduling a trip back there in 2016. Book it now if you can!!"

  • Paradise!

"Our family (two children - 6, 3) stayed at beautiful Villa Renaissance during March break and had an excellent time. The property itself , which has a breathtaking ocean view that you can enjoy by sitting on a large patio, is beautiful, very clean, very well maintained and conveniently located in Salt Mills. You can walk to many delicious restaurants, cafes and shops around you. For an island where taxis are quite expensive it is a very important factor to consider. In addition, there is a big grocery store within a walking distance, with great variety of food. Everything is amazing about this condo, which is very reasonably priced for the "package" it offers. Hurry up to book it, as it gets booked very fast. We are looking forward for our stay next year. Thank you, Bill!"

  • Beautiful Beach - Great Condo - GREAT Time

"We've been back over a week and so wish we could have stayed longer. This was the first time to T&C & hope to go back again. Condo was as described - very nice with everything you needed. Sofa sleeper even slept nice. The Staff was very helpful, believe me we asked lots of questions! The grounds were well kept, nice loungers & umbrellas on the beach w/plenty of beach towels. Snorkeling was plentiful right out in front! Somewhere Cafe had great food - their guacamole dip was outstanding. Their drinks could use a little help though! The only con was the bldg. next door - it is quite an eyesore - but just focus on the beautiful beach looking straightforward. You are on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Steps were really not an issue for us except when arriving with luggage and bringing groceries up - you then realize you're on the 3rd floor! Pools are small but ok - didn't spend much time at either one - stayed on the beach so we could see the beautiful water & people watch. Be sure to do the Thursday night Fish Fry - so MUCH FUN! I would pass on the Full Moon Pig Roast - not worth the $40. Do bring lots of money - groceries are expensive and everyone wants a tip! We did not rent a car - wasn't comfortable driving on the left side - plus w/beverages - using a taxi was the best for us and it was cheaper than renting a car. We used G&L Taxi. Lige was great - always prompt & didn't feel like he was robbing us. You will need a taxi or car to get groceries - IGA is quit a distance. There are a few restaurants you can walk to - but overall you will need a car or taxi. We liked the following restaurants - Caravels (not a fancy place & not expensive - but great seafood). We also had a good dinner at Magnolia's overlooking the Marina & ocean! Recommend Fresh Market at The Salt Mills for lunch. We did the 1/2 snorkeling tour with Island Vibes & it was fun! Be sure to try conch fritters - they are delicious. We would come back to T&C in a heartbeat - there's still lots we didn't get a chance to see & do. Thanks for a great condo."
