Our vistit to Tamarind
"I just returned from a family reunion at Villa Tamarind and it could not have been better. There were 10 of us, all adults ranging in age from 55 to 68 and Tamarind offered plenty of room for everyone. The house is large and accommodating. Each one of the 6 mater bedrooms had great beds, wonderful views and private baths. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. It turned our the most used "room" in the house was the area by the pool. The pool is large and clean, and there are plenty of recliners, chairs and tables both in both sun and shade. It's just a short walk down to the beach, the warm aqua blue water, and great views of Grace Bay. The property is located on "Smith's Reef National Park" and there is great snorkeling just a few yards offshore. We employed a guide to take us snorkeling during our stay. The trip was a lot of fun, but the snorkeling itself was equally good right in front of Tamarind. Finally, there are 6 restaurants that I can think of within easy walking distance of Tamarind so a fine, or casual, or funky meal out is right around the corner. I didn't want to come home and look forward to visiting again soon!"

Thank you Villa Renaissance and Unit 601 for making our trip to the Islands awesome!
"My wife and I rented this amazing condo(unit 601)for 10 days in July. We had no idea how incredible our time would be. The weather was perfect during our stay and everyone was very friendly on the island. The staff members at Villa Renaissance were so welcoming and helpful. They handled the scheduling of all of our excursions and had great suggestions for activities we might enjoy. We spent our time on the island relaxing, eating great food, parasailing, taking various tours, and even exploring the other islands.
What really made this trip so incredible was that we were able to stay in a place that felt like a home away from home. There definitely was more of a peaceful vibe at the VR as opposed to staying at a huge resort. The inside of the condo welcomes you with granite countertops, a very cold and responsive AC, big tvs(with cable), and even a cell phone you can use to call locally. We had a great kitchen area for the days we did not feel like dining out, and we would often dine out and have our morning coffee on the cozy private patio. A huge plus for my wife and I was the Reverse Osmosis system attached to the sink so you could always have the best tasting purified water. The local water has such a bad smell that we could not even imagine drinking it. It’s very easy to get dehydrated on the island, and the RO system helped immensely in keeping us hydrated and preventing us from having to spend a ton of money on purchasing endless amounts water bottles. It’s super convenient to just fill up a gallon jug, stick it in the fridge, and come back for a nice cold glass of water after being in the hot sun all day.
Something we really loved about this condo was the unbelievably convenient location! It was far enough away from the huge resorts, so it had an exclusive and relaxing feel, but we were also right next to all of the shops on the main strip. There’s also a ton a resturants within a reasonable walking distance.
As you walk out of the condo, you are first graced with an incredible mosaic pool and a lovely scenic view of the condo’s property. You are also only a minute walk away from the beautiful white sands and turquoise water. We recommend this condo because VR offers more of a peaceful environment,”a home away from home”type feel, and it also excludes you from the overcrowded and often rowdy resorts.
When we come back, we will definitely stay here again. Definitely consider this“home away from home”if you are planning a trip to Turks and Caicos."

"4 of us stayed at the white house for a week. We had a wonderful time. Arrival was quick and easy. No problems. The house was very clean and had everything we needed including a blender for drinks!! The "Somewhere" bar/restaurant had good food and drinks and is just steps away, make sure you try out the roof top area its got some great lounge furniture up there. You cant beat the beach the sand is so nice and the beach is perfect for swimming.. The water was as warm as a bathtub. The snorkeling right in front of the place is great. Its actually some kind of underwater park, there is a circular section roped off where you are not permitted to snorkel.. Its actually great entertainment sitting on the beach watching the tourist swim right into the no-go zone then watching the life guard trying to get them out of there!
The house has Wi-Fi and you could pickup the signal from the beach !!
They have a couple of pools on the property but the ocean was so nice we never used them.. The first 2 days were a little windy so the water wasn't great for snorkeling but the day after the wind stopped it was unbelievably clear.
Make sure you try the Conch Shack when your there
Also thursday nights fish fry, a bunch of the local restaurants have a big event just down the beach with live music.. great way to sample the local food and music and its a 5 min walk down the beach from the house. dont miss it it was fun and lots of locals and tourist.. some Hilarious local dancing styles !
Almost forgot Best Tip !! if you are a beer drinker the local beer is Turks head they have a lager and a dark. you can buy it at the turks head brewery located behind the Store-All self storage place. I thinks its called Universal StoreAll road. They sell it along with Bottled Water out of the water place on that road. Going from Turtle cove, Take Leeward towards the airport, go left at the roundabout and head towards So. Dock rd. When you see the storage joint on your left, turn left on that road. Look for the water store, thats where they were selling it. (i think it was $37 for a 24 case).
Don't know what else to say other than if you like beaches and swimming you got to try this place. message me if you have any questions about my review."

"We came back from our first trip to Turks and Caicos and were fortunate enough to stay at the Ocean Club East. When we return we will definitely stay there again. The condo was very clean, you had everything you needed. The locations is perfect, its not right in the middle of all the craziness, the beach is AMAZING! The staff is very friendly, we walked to the sister property and ate there a couple of times, and hung out at the pool. Considering that we were either at the beach or pool all the time, this place was just great. We rented a car so the car was parked right by us, we didn't have to walk far. This is certainly a home away from home. Thank you Bob, we really loved the condo and had a fabulous time. We will be back in a couple of years and rent from you again!
