  • Beautiful House in great location

"We had three couples stay at the Reef Pearl House. It was easy to find, convenient location to a nice Marina at Turtle Cove, and some local restaurants. Also close to the IGA on Leeward, but groceries and alcohol were very expensive. We were there in April, and the pool was very warm and comfortable. The beach was nice, but sloped and has very soft sand. Kind of hard to walk in. The hot tub did not work after one night, so we were unable to use it. This was the only downside of our entire week. We took excursions through Big Blue in the Blue Haven Marina, about 20 minutes away. The house was clean, neat and had two separate living quarters. The beds were King in Master, King downstairs in separate quarters, and double, (supposed to be Queen) in smaller bedroom. Nice kitchens with plenty of cooking utensils, and dishes. The upper floor has a beautiful wrap around deck. A large game room is in the garage area, and a play area for anyone with children. Lots of snorkel equipment, sailboat, kayaks are available also. Our house manager could be contacted for any problems we had or information that we needed. He was wonderful and very helpful. Security guards are on premises around the clock, but speak little English, and are very helpful and friendly. We felt safe and enjoyed our trip to the fullest. The Reef Pearl House shares a tennis court that is quite large with the Conch Pearl house next door. The houses are far apart, and very private. Our private beach had plenty of chairs and we spent most of our days enjoying the breeze and snorkeling right out front. There is a beautiful reef, Smith's Reef a short walking distance from the house that is spectacular and teeming with all kinds of fish, turtles, coral and memorials on the bottom floor. Large TV's in Living Room, Bedrooms and nice Stereo for some good Island Music while enjoying the view from the upper deck on the comfortable furniture. I would highly recommend this vacation property."

  • Great Property, 4.5 stars

"We had a great trip to TCI and really enjoyed staying at the VR. Had a 2 br/2 ba condo on the first level. View and beach access were exceptional. Pool was very clean and the entire property is generally well kept. House keeping staff were punctual and always made sure we had plenty of towels, clean dishes, etc. Kitchen was adequately equipped but certainly not spacious. Grace bay was as beautiful as advertised. Never had a problem securing beach lounge chairs for my family of 5. Concierge service was helpful with a little assertive guidance and prompting, but always responsive and able to ultimately deliver on what was asked. Had to call maintenance for a couple of minor issues and they were very prompt to respond and resolve each episode. Location was very good as there are several good restaurants and a really expensive grocery store within walking distance. The cell phone issue mentioned by the previous reviewer is real, however I felt like this burden could be/was appropriately transferred and handled by the concierge service. No bar and restaurant on site was a bit of a bummer at times but there are plenty of substitute options nearby. We enjoyed the smaller development / more intimate feel of VR compared to a larger resort where we're more likely to feel cramped by the masses. Tennis court (1) was very nice. Exercise room was nothing special. Overall, we had a great stay at VR and hope to return there again soon."

  • Great resort alternative

"Had a great stay - location is outstanding and provided an excellent home base to explore the entire island, walk to beach, and shopping at IGA. House was very clean and fully functioning - we had no issues at all. Pool was great and kept the kids (11, 7, 5) fully entertained for hours at a time. Rosie and Charlene were each very responsive (e.g. the entry gate was malfunctioning after we first arrived and they had it repaired immediately so no issues). Wholly recommend for families looking for a non-resort vacation - would strongly recommend renting a car to get to daily excursions and restaurants, etc."

  • Very nice apartment indeed

"Enjoyed our time in the apartment, very spacious and well decorated for anyone's taste. Wish balcony wasn't on the main road as I did find it noisy but actually acclimatised over the first few days and didn't notice it too much. Location for everything was excellent. Foodwise- We went every day to the deck at seven Stars for lunch. Go to beach and walk left for 5 min. Fish ceviche and Sauvignon blanc!! Yum. Also coco bistro was excellent!!! More of a cool vibe going on but would suit any age group. Vin veneto is also v good - looks a strange location overlooking a carpark but when lit up at night. Great atmosphere and good good. No lift to get to third floor but we used the pushchair left by the owner and that was much lighter so was a great plus. Air conditioning in the property is excellent! Overall 5 star :)"
