  • Beautiful Beach - Great Condo - GREAT Time

"We've been back over a week and so wish we could have stayed longer. This was the first time to T&C & hope to go back again. Condo was as described - very nice with everything you needed. Sofa sleeper even slept nice. The Staff was very helpful, believe me we asked lots of questions! The grounds were well kept, nice loungers & umbrellas on the beach w/plenty of beach towels. Snorkeling was plentiful right out in front! Somewhere Cafe had great food - their guacamole dip was outstanding. Their drinks could use a little help though! The only con was the bldg. next door - it is quite an eyesore - but just focus on the beautiful beach looking straightforward. You are on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Steps were really not an issue for us except when arriving with luggage and bringing groceries up - you then realize you're on the 3rd floor! Pools are small but ok - didn't spend much time at either one - stayed on the beach so we could see the beautiful water & people watch. Be sure to do the Thursday night Fish Fry - so MUCH FUN! I would pass on the Full Moon Pig Roast - not worth the $40. Do bring lots of money - groceries are expensive and everyone wants a tip! We did not rent a car - wasn't comfortable driving on the left side - plus w/beverages - using a taxi was the best for us and it was cheaper than renting a car. We used G&L Taxi. Lige was great - always prompt & didn't feel like he was robbing us. You will need a taxi or car to get groceries - IGA is quit a distance. There are a few restaurants you can walk to - but overall you will need a car or taxi. We liked the following restaurants - Caravels (not a fancy place & not expensive - but great seafood). We also had a good dinner at Magnolia's overlooking the Marina & ocean! Recommend Fresh Market at The Salt Mills for lunch. We did the 1/2 snorkeling tour with Island Vibes & it was fun! Be sure to try conch fritters - they are delicious. We would come back to T&C in a heartbeat - there's still lots we didn't get a chance to see & do. Thanks for a great condo."

  • Terrific all-around!

"We read all the reviews and low and behold everything was as expected! It IS a terrific set up, the pictures are accurate, the location amazing. Grace Bay is the most spectacular place and we have been to Grand Cayman (love), St. Maarten, St. Kits, St. Barts, St. Lucia, Mexico, etc. This is the first vacation I have ever said: "We need to come back here!". Even with an excellent rating, it would be great to have a lounge chair on the unit's porch/deck. Thank you to the owners and Linda. We had so much fun! We will be back!"

  • Great place - beware of construction though.

"My husband, 2 other married couples and two other siblings stayed at Bella Sur Mer for a week. The location is right on the beach and you have your own little private pool that has great seating in the shade if you need it. The caretaker came once during our stay to clean which is really nice. Each room has it's own new A/C unit that worked perfectly. The kitchen is stocked with all the tools you need to cook if thats what you plan to do for meals. Lots of seating for everyone if you want to relax in the house too. The snorkeling is the best! The reef directly in front of the house was great; saw huge grouper, huge lobster, starfish and lots of other fish, big and small. If you walk out to the beach and take a left, walk down about 1/2 mile (where the white stair case is at another house) there's another phenomenal reef, about 40 feet deep, we saw huge sea turtles, enormous eagle rays, large sting rays, large barracuda and many other species of fish in all shapes, sizes and colors! No need to waste money on snorkeling cruises, the best is right out your back door!! Its very windy on this side of the island so the ocean is very choppy and made it tiresome to swim through all the time, but it is well worth it and great exercise. The one negative is that there are some local boaters who disregard the boat channel markers and drive right through the reef at full speed (they come from the marina and head east to the resorts to take people tubing, etc.) so that was worrisome at times. Also, be aware, that there is construction still going on right next door. An earlier review stated this back in August of 2013 and I had figured by now it would have been finished. Not so. There is the main house and two smaller homes, maybe a third being constructed at this site. There was the usual jackhammer, sawing, pounding etc. sounds that was not fun to hear while trying to relax. They start at 7:30 and usually done by the end of the day, they also work weekends. I'm guessing its taking so long because the construction workers are on "island time." From the looks of it, could be another year and half or so before the construction is done. Another thing was our water was shut off without notice. I called the caretaker, who called the water company, who said it would be on in an hour; I'm guessing, again, that was "island time" because it didn't come back on until 6 hours later. Other than those things, the location is great and it was affordable."

  • Very Peaceful

"As promised, South Fleetwood is a very quaint, relaxing place. We stayed in the studio which has a king bed and a kitchen and dining area. The back patio is really nice with 3 lounge chairs, two end tables and a table and chairs for outdoor eating. Surrounded by various foliage, the patio is a great retreat when you are between beach visits. The pool area is small but has a number of chairs and a large hammock and provides opportunities for either sunning or reading in the shade. The beach is a very short walk away and like any on Grace Bay is wonderful and soft and frames that gorgeous green water. South Fleetwood has full sized beach towels and several lounge chairs for easy relaxation. The property is located within easy walking distance of a number of good restaurants and shops yet it is tucked away off a quiet side street so that you feel away from the crowds and the "busyness." Above all, Kit and Colin are committed to making your trip nice! They are very personable and responsive to any needs. They live in a house next to the studio so are always available; usually you will see them out on the grounds. They provided a nice welcoming gift for us and things only got better from there! So if you like a quiet place with a convenient location and the personal touch of hands-on owners--South Fleetwood might be just what you are looking for!"
