  • Excellent rental property--highly recommended!

"My family and I spent a wonderful week at the Calabash Suite. This property is exactly as advertised, and looks even nicer in person than the pictures depict. I would not hesitate to recommend this suite to anyone. It's a winner. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was perfectly equipped. It was so wonderful to have a washer and dryer in the suite--it allowed us to pack just carry-ons, even traveling with a toddler! But the gem of this suite is by far that wonderful balcony. The view is spectacular, and the fact that it is covered completely with a roof was indispensable to us. We were able to "hide" from the sun during the hours of the day that it was strongest, and sit there under the ceiling fan while my toddler napped. Just wonderful! The resort itself is also lovely. It's on a wonderful stretch of Grace Bay. The on site restaurant has very fast service and excellent food. The pools are clean and enjoyable. The resort is centrally located and a three minute drive away from the nearest grocery store. I wouldn't hesitate to return!"

  • Perfect!

"Wonderful stay at Blue Villa! The beach in front of the house is gorgeous, and really a very short walk away, with some of the best snorkeling my family had ever experienced right off the beach! We spent many hours in and out of the water and walking the gorgeous Grace Bay Beach. Back at the house, both the pool and screened in porch made for a great reprise from the hot mid-day sun. All in all, a lovely and relaxing vacation!"

  • Great Stay at the Yacht Club

"This was our first stay in Turks & Caicos, and after much research we chose the Turtle Cove area to be close to Smith's Reef. This condo was perfect for us, and exceeded our expectations. The bedroom and bathroom are not pictured in the listing, and they are very attractive and modern in appearance. It was too hot to spend much time on the balcony, but the view of the pool and marina is lovely. The multi-level pool is very large, and due to most of this development being owner occupied, we were often the only 2 people at the pool. Plenty of room for our floats, and lots of shade around the pool. The owner picked us up at the airport and gave us an overview of the area and the unit, and even took us to the IGA to stock up. He isn't always in town to do this, so we really appreciated that. He has an office on site, and we ran into him several times during the week, along with his lovely family. When I broke the clip on my husband's snorkel, he was kind enough to take the clip off his son's snorkel and lend it to us for the week. The walk to the beach is a little over 5 minutes, which we were able to do with no problem. The unit itself is top notch and puts you less than 5 minutes by foot from 4 of the 5 restaurants in Turtle Cove. Scooter Bob's is within walking distance if you want to rent a car or bicycle. Because of the proximity to restaurants, we did not rent a car, and used the money we saved to take a snorkeling/shelling tour. We had a wonderful stay, felt it was a great value, and hope to return again in the future."

  • Comfortable home, many amenities, beach okay

"The villa is two completely separate apartments. Upstairs has a king MBR and a child's bedroom with a full-size bed. The lower apartment on the ground floor is a king-size 1 BR. Both apartments have separate kitchens. The only way to get from one to another is walking around the house and going up a flight of stairs. Both apartments are comfortable and well-appointed. The upper apartment is the only one that has balconies/views (which are beautiful). The management of the villa was top-notch. A few issues (broken hot tub, broken garage door) arose during our stay and they were easily reachable and responsive, getting things fixed within a day. The house is well stocked. Great gas grill. Sharp knives, a nice selection of cookware, dishware (including toddlerware), spices. Blender, toaster, coolers of various sizes, foil/wrap/baggies. Beach towels provided, many beach toys, sports equipment. The televisions have HDMI cables so if you've got your own entertainment device you can plug it in. The swingset outside is very nice. Portions do get too hot to use when in full sun, but it's well shaded and in convenient view from the balcony or the garage game room. The beach area is a minute walk down a rocky path -- you can't walk it in bare feet. The large sitting area (shared with the neighboring villa, painlessly in our experience) was well arranged, plenty of chairs and loungers, sun and shade both, a hammock, and a hot tub. It's all separated from the actual ocean by a large wide planting of shrubs, which gives you privacy but does block the view of the waves. The beach itself was well tended, but it is narrow here and sloped -- not like at the resorts. The water gets deep quickly, and you can't watch a child play on the shore from the seating area. Our 4yo daughter found the waves scary, and in early February the water was just too cold to swim. If you are traveling with a small child you are much better off staying on Sapodilla Bay or Taylor Bay if you can manage it. We ended up driving to those much shallower beaches most days, which defeated the purpose of renting a beachfront place. The pool was also too cold to swim in until after 4 days of 85 degree days. Minor things: the front gate is manually secured with a chain and a combination lock and is a massive pain to open and close anytime you go out. The staff were all friendly, but it felt like someone was always around -- a tiny bit obtrusive. Overall a nice place."
