"Today is our last day at Place de la Sol and I think I may cry. Wish we were staying for two weeks. This place provided an amazing vacation for my husband, myself and our three children. The house was spacious, clean, well equipped and had a lovely beachy feel. Loved all the seating areas from the large screened in deck where many card games were played to poolside where many cool beverages were had. The beach was amazing! Crystal clear warm shallow water and barely any people around. We love that sort of peace and privacy. The pool was really nice to have and the kids especially enjoyed it. We all loved the outdoor shower off of the master bedroom...what a treat! The manager was excellent to deal with and gave us some great tips. Upon his suggestion we tried a restaurant his friends own called Via Veneto...it was excellent and we went there twice. He also hooked us up with some fresh fish( red snapper) and we cooked that one night....so delicious! The owner of the property was also great to deal with and understanding as well. I had sent payment in the mail and somehow it got lost( came back to me 6 weeks later) but she was very patient and kind and we got it all sorted out. We did visit Grace Bay Beach a couple of times as we had friends staying at a condo on that side of the island and I really enjoyed that area as well. I do not think there are many bad spots in Turks and Caicos. We went on a Glow worm sail cruise. It was a beautiful evening and I thought the glow worm phenomenon was fascinating. The kids were expecting more but they are kids. We snorkelled at Coral Gardens and our group saw lots of variety there. We also ate at Mango Reef which I would give 5 stars, Las Brisas 3.5 stars, Shark Bite 4 stars, Danny Bhouy's 3 stars and Opus 4 stars. We mostly shopped at IGA and I was prepared for super expensive prices but it was not too bad. It was certainly more expensive than Canada but not outrageously so. It was pretty easy to get around Turks and Caicos by car, especially once you figure out how to landmark by roundabout. All in all, this was most definitely a 5 star place to be and we would definitely return."

"We really enjoyed our one week visit to this property. This was our first trip to TCI. Chuck and Brenda were very accommodating and were great hosts. Upon our arrival, we found the villa stocked very nicely including beer, water and sodas in the refrigerator. Also, they had provided other incidentals like bathroom supplies, sunscreen, towels, bug repellent and the like. We used the kayaks often and swam in the pool and canal daily. Their knowledge of the island was vast and we really enjoyed eating at Coco Bistro upon their suggestion. One thing for consideration though. As was previously advised by the owners, the air conditioning for each bedroom is on a separate meter and the fees for power consumption are payable upon checkout. Having never been to the unit or the island, we did not realize that this meant that the main living area (including the kitchen and living room) are not air conditioned. Despite the island breeze, the temperatures in these areas were usually over 80 degrees (90+ average daily outside temperatures) and sometimes quite stifling. In order to escape the heat, we found ourselves retreating to our bedrooms for air conditioning. Our charge for air conditioning our room was not unreasonable and Chuck even gave us a break since the cost of power was less this time of year. The villa is a bit removed from Grace Bay (so much so that the taxi driver had a bit of a hard time finding it). If you are looking for seclusion, this is a great place to stay. However, the location is a bit removed from Grace Bay and we found we needed a car to get to the Bay and to see the other areas of the island. Having said all of this, we enjoyed our stay and suspect we will come back to TCI again. As far as the hospitality of the owners and the accommodations go, it was very nice."

"My husband & I decided on Providenciales for our 25th wedding anniversary. This was our first visit to T&C and is was just as wonderful as expected. OCW is a great place to stay. It is convenient to everything, like restaurants, shopping and the food/liquore store. OCW was very nicely maintained with a great pool, beautiful beach, and very friendly staff & workers. Loved the Seaside Cafe and ate and drank there a number of times for both lunch and dinner. Loved sitting right by the beach at sunset. Also liked the fact that we were able to use the OCE pool and had lunch & dinner there also. Another great place to eat. The condo itself was quite nice. The kitchen & bathroom was very nicely updated and the unit was tastefully decorated. The unit also included everything we could have possibly wanted from kitchen supplies, to ipod, to beach/pool items. Loved the lounge raft and spend countless hours just floating in Grace Bay and in the pool. Favorite part of the unit was the balcony. We spent every morning there with our coffee, and every evening before dinner with a drink. The owners suggest, offer and provide countless items to ensure a great stay. We are defenitely planning on going back some day, just need to save up for our next trip, for everything there is quite expensive."
