  • Great Stay at the Yacht Club

"This was our first stay in Turks & Caicos, and after much research we chose the Turtle Cove area to be close to Smith's Reef. This condo was perfect for us, and exceeded our expectations. The bedroom and bathroom are not pictured in the listing, and they are very attractive and modern in appearance. It was too hot to spend much time on the balcony, but the view of the pool and marina is lovely. The multi-level pool is very large, and due to most of this development being owner occupied, we were often the only 2 people at the pool. Plenty of room for our floats, and lots of shade around the pool. The owner picked us up at the airport and gave us an overview of the area and the unit, and even took us to the IGA to stock up. He isn't always in town to do this, so we really appreciated that. He has an office on site, and we ran into him several times during the week, along with his lovely family. When I broke the clip on my husband's snorkel, he was kind enough to take the clip off his son's snorkel and lend it to us for the week. The walk to the beach is a little over 5 minutes, which we were able to do with no problem. The unit itself is top notch and puts you less than 5 minutes by foot from 4 of the 5 restaurants in Turtle Cove. Scooter Bob's is within walking distance if you want to rent a car or bicycle. Because of the proximity to restaurants, we did not rent a car, and used the money we saved to take a snorkeling/shelling tour. We had a wonderful stay, felt it was a great value, and hope to return again in the future."

  • Relaxing vacation at Blue Villa

"We really had a great time at the Blue Villa. The beach is a short walk down the path at the end of Donkey Lane, takes 2 - 3 minutes. The pool was wonderful and a great place to hang out. The IGA grocery store is within walking distance, but if you do get a car, it is less than a 5 minute drive away. Prices are more than they are at home, but not too terribly bad. The villa is nicely furnished and comfortable. We used the grill just about every night. Louise was great to work with, she always responded to any request we had during the rental process. After we got there we could not find the gas cylinder for the grill. We emailed Louise and she got right back to us with the information on how to access it. We did some snorkeling on Smith's Reef (there is a part of the reef that is located right near to where the path comes out onto the beach). If you want to find some nice shells, take a trip up to the Leeward side of the island and go to Emerald Point, a really beautiful spot. We found quite a few shells up there. We really enjoyed our stay and Louise was a pleasure to work with."

  • Great location and affordable price

"My wife and I recently stayed at Villa Daisanadu for a week. Barb was an excellent host and always available for questions and recommendations. This place is exactly as beautiful as shown in the pictures, it is a perfect place to stay for those who don't want to spend the ridiculous resort prices on TCI. The apartment is very clean and comfortable and it is convenient to anywhere you want to go on the island. We rented a small car from Caicos Wheels while on our trip and I would definitely recommend this option for anyone who is staying on the island. You do NOT need an SUV as many others have noted, a small Kia Picanto will get you anywhere you need and want to go. The apartment is a short 5-10 minute drive from most of the shops, restaurants, and beaches at Grace Bay. It is also a 10-15 minute drive to the more secluded beaches of Long Bay and Taylor Bay (both of which I would recommend visiting). Not much else to add from all of the other reviews other than I would highly recommend staying for those who appreciate the value of money and want to save it for the expensive cost of food on the island. Cheers!"

  • Wow - what a gem!

"Just returned from 2 weeks in Provo at Coral Villa. The villa is large enough for 4 adults and plenty of space to chill out on the verandah. The villa has everything for the kitchen and laundry - very well equipped. It is beautifully maintained, with a quaint, relaxing atmosphere. It is easy walking to Turtle Cove to eat out. Louise was so helpful and showed us where the best places to go were. Robinson the cat was cute (if you are a cat lover). Sharkbite, Tikki Hut, Green Bean, Baci are all great places to try as they all have varied menus (and prices!). Food is expensive generally (e.g cheese $9 for a small pack, $7 for a nice loaf, $3 cucumber, $14 wine) Hire a car and explore not only Provo, but take the ferry to North and Middle Caicos to experience different islands and beaches. The 9.30 ferry, returning at 4pm should be enough to explore. We all felt very secure, especially as there is a regular security patrol in the area and had no worries at all. I'd certainly go back again to Coral Villa."

Turtle Cove Travel Tips

Turtle Cove Vacation Rentals Put You Near the "Best" Beaches

Grace Bay Beach is a gorgeous twelve mile stretch of powdery sand with waves of turquoise that drown out your stress. This beach has won accolades from various travel sources, including the title of "Best Beach" from Conde Nast travel magazine. Princess Alexandria Marine Park is also housed at Grace Bay, so snorkeling here is a visual treat of fish and coral. Manta rays frequent the area, and a famous bottlenose dolphin locally known as "Jo-Jo" lives in these waters and can often be seen getting close to humans. Grace Bay and its beach are just a few minutes away from your Turtle Cove vacation rental, so you can be having fun in no time.

Activities Abound near Providenciales Resorts

Turtle Cove villas are close to so many fantastic activities, it might be hard to choose! You can witness a post sunset mating ritual between luminescent green glow worms or check out a conch farm to see the early stages of these tasty marine creatures and learn about how the farm replenishes the ocean's supply. Deep sea fishing is fantastic out beyond the reefs, and you can reel in a super-sized catch like marlin, mahi mahi, and even sharks! Captain Bob Collins' ship has twenty years of experience on these waters, but there are plenty of reputable charters available. Golf, mini-golf, tennis, kayaking, and windsurfing are all close by, and of course, simply relaxing on your patio or on the pristine shores is a great option.

City Life with Turtle Cove Vacation Rentals

Art Provo and the Bamboo Gallery showcase local art for those interested in local culture. Spas and shops are abundant near most Providenciales resorts, and you can grab deli sandwiches for beach picnic lunches and experience fine dining like Bagatelle Bistrot's French cuisine at night.
