  • Such a great place to stay!

"This was our first time to Turks and Caicos and we would go again in a heart beat. The condo was the perfect size for a couple and was spotless. It was so nice to be able to make coffee in the morning and drink it out on the balcony over looking the swimming pool and beautifully kept landscaping. The restaurant on sight, The Mango Reef, had delicous food and wonderful staff. The beach on Grace Bay had to be one of the nicest compared to the other resorts. It appeared to have the largest area of sand and it was never overly crowded, like some of the other parts of the beach. Chairs and umbrellas were always available. The owners were great to work with, very attentive and really cared about making sure that our stay was perfect. She even emailed us the day we arrived to make sure that the condo was clean and that it had everything we needed. Thank you! Our vacation was awesome!"

"The photos you see are just like the house truly is!! This property is amazing!!! It is the closest property to the Ocean on all of Grace Bay after walking from one end to the other. The sand here is the best we have ever walked on and the beaches are incredible. The view from almost every room upstairs is spectacular. The kitchen has every item and then some that you could even imagine. We cooked a lot of food inside and out because there is no reason to leave this place. We have rented several homes and been very disappointed because the picture shows one thing and then you get there and the pictures were from 10 years ago and the house is run down. From the owner (Katalin) to James and Romeo we have never had a better experience. Romeo made our beds every day and changed out our sheets midweek. We always had plenty of clean beach towels, bath towels and wash clothes. He would refill all of out paper towel and toilet paper as well. Romeo even ran to the store for us a couple times which saved us from leaving this place (yes we did tip him very well because he was that good of a care taker). There is also plenty of spices to use which was also fantastic. If you stay here you will go back!!! And the color of the water that you see in the pictures are true as well.Enjoy"

  • Great spot. Agree with all the positive reviews here

"-First time visitors to TCI from Canada. 6 adults (31 to 65) 3 kids (15mo to 5yo) visiting Feb 2015 -Home suited us very well. Lots of space, very comfortable and very clean as mentioned. -great pool, very lush landscaping contributing to a private feel, nice outdoor seating/ dining table -4 bikes (3 adult) , beach chairs, toys for kids....such a nice touch. -kitchen was very nice, very well equipped as advertised and they even have a good selection of spices too. -BBQ is there too which we used twice for family meals at the house. -beach was awesome. probably a 5-10 minute walk to the closest point. you could walk either direction. we were very surprised that the beaches were NOT busy, but then again you're not in a resort area until you start walking a ways west down the beach! -for making your OWN food you can go to the Marina (<10 min bicycle) which is a small high-end grocer (limited proteins). It's expensive. Bring a backpack (the bicycles have baskets too). Alternatively you can bike to Graceway gourmet (about 30-45 mins each way on bicycle). Or drive to graceway gourmet (10 mins by car) or to the less expensive IGA on the highway (15+ mins by car.). Snacks are expensive so consider bringing your own (eg granola bars) -Tonnes of good restaurants on the island.... they will provide you with dining guides and maps to help you find your way! Even the closest restaurants are a decently far walk, FYI but we walked as far as Hemingways (1 hour walk each way) -agree to strongly recommend bringing bug spray. lots of little "no-see-em" bugs which bite some people more than others. they're everywhere on the island so you just gotta be prepared to deal with them! -we loved walking (or cycling) into the grace bay commercial area but if you're not keen on exercise you would need a rental. -we rented a scooter for one day (just my wife and I) from paradise scooters to explore the island and we also rented a 10 person van (grace bay rentals) to explore the island with the entire family. No problems with any rentals. Scooter rental employee picked you up and brought you to the rental location (and returned you). The van rental company offered complimentary drop off at the house and pickup at the house (very handy). Scooter rental was $75USD for a day, van was $190USD. Driving on the opposite side was NOT challenging. People drive relatively slow compared to what we're used to. -we would all HIGHLY recommend Villa Tropica @ 25 Sandpiper. :)"

  • Great property in a great location

"Just came back from a week spent at Provo. The Room was fine overall with all the amenities of a rented condo: fully stocked kitchen, cable tv and internet access, etc. I wish a couple of items were improved - very insignificant in the overall picture. 1. Wireless internet was barely useful due to slow speed and line congestion. As a result Skype was barely functional in the room, same for Netflix streaming and the like. Up/down speeds avged at 1.5mb up and down. On the positive side a 4 port router is provided in the room so a network cable could be used to plug in directly and improve the connection somewhat. Also the room only has 2 coffee mugs. At least 4 would have been useful on a couple of occasions. Otherwise, Provo is Provo and the overall experience of the vacation is hard to spoil as long as the weather cooperates."

Providenciales Travel Tips

Providenciales Vacation Rentals on 38 Square Miles of Bliss

Getting to Providenciales vacation rentals could not be easier. The island is home to the region’s only international airport. While it is the major resort area of the Turks and Caicos Islands, it is just 38 square miles. But those 38 square miles are a vacation paradise! Once you arrive for your Providenciales travel, venture to between the islands to discover each island’s unique characteristics. With a base in Providenciales, there are plenty of opportunities to take day trips out to explore the rest of this stunningly beautiful and tranquil area. It is close in distance to many major U.S. destinations, making it an ideal vacation for Americans. Temperatures here are constant throughout the year with averages between the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit, with little humidity and rain. Although the islands are British territory, the currency is the U.S. dollar.

As recently as the 1960s, there were no cars on the islands. Now, visitors can hire a 4x4 Jeep to make exploring all those out-of-the-way places easy. Another great option is to use the Gecko Shuttle, operating from Grace Bay. Be sure to buy your token before you board.

Stay at Providenciales Villas on the Beaches and Discover Paradise

Provo, as it is called locally, is the most developed of the islands, with resorts, golf courses and casinos. When asked, many visitors say they come for the pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. The beaches are beautiful but there is much more to Provo that that! Such as the unique Caicos Banks, an undersea pillar that comes from the depths of the ocean to within 30 to 50 feet of the surface. This bank provides safe inshore waters, just perfect for snorkeling, swimming and boating. Outside of the bank is a treacherous reef notorious for wrecking ships which makes for great diving and deep sea fishing.

There are a few tips to be aware of when hitting the beaches here. All the beaches are free and public, including those by hotels and private homes. Most of the coastline is part of the national park, and fishing is not allowed from the beach. There are a huge variety of watersports for visitors, including jet skiing, jet boating, skiff boating, kayaking, glass-bottom boat trips, parasailing, banana boats, semi-submarine trips, kiteboarding, and windsurfing. If you're ready to try something more than snorkeling but not quite ready to try diving, try snuba!

Meet the World’s Only Performing Conch!

For the days when the beach doesn’t beckon, there are golf and miniature golf, horseback riding, tennis, bicycling, jogging and soccer; you can also wander the miles of beach searching for shells and driftwood. Beach-combing can be one of the most delightful ways to spend a leisurely morning at Northwest Point. Here, the pounding surf brings new treasures with every wave. Then, of course, there are a variety of sights and attractions scattered around Provo. Try a visit to the Cheshire Hall Plantation Ruins, explore the spectacular caves and rock carvings at Sapodilla Hill and West Harbor Bluff, and sample the local beer with a visit to Turks Head Microbrewery and the world’s only conch farm at Caicos Conch Farm. Make sure to see the live show featuring some trained conchs!
