"The resort is first class and Ed's unit had everything you need. Great location, no car needed within walking distance to shopping, groceries and did I mention the beach and the color of the water. High end furnishings and accommodations and the unit was well kept and very clean. Ed's recommendations were spot on, we will certainly return! The beach is walkable for miles in either direction, expect sun, sand and fun.....Enjoy. Most importantly....don't forget your bathing suit. Wear blue!"Guest: B&B Date of Stay: December 2014 Review Submitted: December 20, 2014View listing
"We are fresh off a stay at Villa Jasmine and would highly recommend it! It is a beautiful home that was perfect for our group (4 adults and 3 children). It was immaculate and nicely decorated… it reminded me of a Tuscan villa. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of beach towels and linens. The pool was always a perfect temperature and there were many beach toys, chairs, etc. The view of Taylor Bay was stunning and it was a short walk (2 minutes) to the beach. The only downside was there were many mosquitos (true of the entire island) so we had to keep doors closed at night… and only the bedrooms have air conditioning so it made it hard to enjoy the common areas… but, again, I blame that on the bugs… not the house. The owner & caretaker were very attentive and easy to deal with. We hope to visit again soon!"Guest: Jennifer Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 23, 2014View listing
"This is a lovely condo located in Ocean Club (East) that has all we needed for a relaxing 7 night stay. We arrived early so Bob and Cathy allowed us to place our baggage in the condo while it was being cleaned after previous renters had just departed. The unit was bright and kept nicely. It had all the essentials needed to have a casual breakfast or lunch. This was a great help as restaurant dining can become quite expensive on the island. We were able to jump on the Ocean Club shuttle that dropped us off near the center where we shopped at the Salt Mills complex. This saved us taxi fares and was very convenient. The Ocean Club facilities have nice oceanside dining (grouper!) at reasonable prices. The experience of Carribean breezes, crashing waves and candlelit tables was incredible. Coco Bistro proved to be a beautiful dining experience among the palms. For fun, we rented a scooter to buzz around the island. Bob and Cathy gave us some great times to enhance our first experience vacationing at Turks and Caicos. The prepaid cell phone was a nice convenience. I would recommend this condo to others who want all the amenities that a fine resort can offer yet at a reasonable rate. We look forward to returning to paradise!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 5, 2014View listing
"We had an amazing time at this beautifully appointed and maintained villa. The level of cleanliness, attention and service from Basia and her staff ranked this our best vacation in ten years. Providenciales Travel Tips
Providenciales Vacation Rentals on 38 Square Miles of Bliss
Getting to Providenciales vacation rentals could not be easier. The island is home to the region’s only international airport. While it is the major resort area of the Turks and Caicos Islands, it is just 38 square miles. But those 38 square miles are a vacation paradise! Once you arrive for your Providenciales travel, venture to between the islands to discover each island’s unique characteristics. With a base in Providenciales, there are plenty of opportunities to take day trips out to explore the rest of this stunningly beautiful and tranquil area. It is close in distance to many major U.S. destinations, making it an ideal vacation for Americans. Temperatures here are constant throughout the year with averages between the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit, with little humidity and rain. Although the islands are British territory, the currency is the U.S. dollar.
As recently as the 1960s, there were no cars on the islands. Now, visitors can hire a 4x4 Jeep to make exploring all those out-of-the-way places easy. Another great option is to use the Gecko Shuttle, operating from Grace Bay. Be sure to buy your token before you board.
Stay at Providenciales Villas on the Beaches and Discover Paradise
Provo, as it is called locally, is the most developed of the islands, with resorts, golf courses and casinos. When asked, many visitors say they come for the pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. The beaches are beautiful but there is much more to Provo that that! Such as the unique Caicos Banks, an undersea pillar that comes from the depths of the ocean to within 30 to 50 feet of the surface. This bank provides safe inshore waters, just perfect for snorkeling, swimming and boating. Outside of the bank is a treacherous reef notorious for wrecking ships which makes for great diving and deep sea fishing.
There are a few tips to be aware of when hitting the beaches here. All the beaches are free and public, including those by hotels and private homes. Most of the coastline is part of the national park, and fishing is not allowed from the beach. There are a huge variety of watersports for visitors, including jet skiing, jet boating, skiff boating, kayaking, glass-bottom boat trips, parasailing, banana boats, semi-submarine trips, kiteboarding, and windsurfing. If you're ready to try something more than snorkeling but not quite ready to try diving, try snuba!
Meet the World’s Only Performing Conch!
For the days when the beach doesn’t beckon, there are golf and miniature golf, horseback riding, tennis, bicycling, jogging and soccer; you can also wander the miles of beach searching for shells and driftwood. Beach-combing can be one of the most delightful ways to spend a leisurely morning at Northwest Point. Here, the pounding surf brings new treasures with every wave. Then, of course, there are a variety of sights and attractions scattered around Provo. Try a visit to the Cheshire Hall Plantation Ruins, explore the spectacular caves and rock carvings at Sapodilla Hill and West Harbor Bluff, and sample the local beer with a visit to Turks Head Microbrewery and the world’s only conch farm at Caicos Conch Farm. Make sure to see the live show featuring some trained conchs!
