  • Perfect vacation!

"There is nothing bad to say about a vacation at the Villa Camilla. We were lucky enough to be there at the same time as the owners, Beth and Larry, who could not have been more welcoming! The house is very comfortable and the pool is heaven. Although there is plenty to do and see around the island, you can also spend each day walking the beautiful Grace Bay Beach just outside your door, swimming in the ocean or lying by the pool. And nothing is better than being able to wake up, make a cup of coffee and watch the colors change as the sun rises from your private deck. All of the staff there are wonderful, from the security guards, to the cleaning team, to the maintenance crew -- friendly and helpful. We felt very looked after. Restaurants are only a short walk or drive away -- and the owner's left a great list of recommendations. Can't wait to go back!"

  • Great Property, 4.5 stars

"We had a great trip to TCI and really enjoyed staying at the VR. Had a 2 br/2 ba condo on the first level. View and beach access were exceptional. Pool was very clean and the entire property is generally well kept. House keeping staff were punctual and always made sure we had plenty of towels, clean dishes, etc. Kitchen was adequately equipped but certainly not spacious. Grace bay was as beautiful as advertised. Never had a problem securing beach lounge chairs for my family of 5. Concierge service was helpful with a little assertive guidance and prompting, but always responsive and able to ultimately deliver on what was asked. Had to call maintenance for a couple of minor issues and they were very prompt to respond and resolve each episode. Location was very good as there are several good restaurants and a really expensive grocery store within walking distance. The cell phone issue mentioned by the previous reviewer is real, however I felt like this burden could be/was appropriately transferred and handled by the concierge service. No bar and restaurant on site was a bit of a bummer at times but there are plenty of substitute options nearby. We enjoyed the smaller development / more intimate feel of VR compared to a larger resort where we're more likely to feel cramped by the masses. Tennis court (1) was very nice. Exercise room was nothing special. Overall, we had a great stay at VR and hope to return there again soon."

  • Crystal Sands - Great week

"What a great week we had. My wife and I plus our daughter and her husband stayed at Crystal Sands the week of 3/7/15. We stayed in the upper section of the house and had great "neighbors" downstairs who were making their second visit to Crystal Sands. The house is great but the real attraction is the beach and the lovely water. Weather was perfect all week, mid 80's with a nice breeze to keep you cool. If your looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation then this is the place. The owners Dana and Scott could not be more helpful and accomodating. Las Brisas resturant (which is within walking distance) was fabulous. You do need a car at this location if you want to explore T&C. We had one and ate dinner up in the Grace Bay area a couple of nights as well as visiting the beach for some snorkeling. Driving around was not that difficult although you had to pay attention to the other drivers. Overall the place is perfect to just relax and enjoy the everything about the house and the location and especially the pristine water and sand"

  • Queen Ann Suite

"Our first trip to Turks & Caicos. Great two week vacation. Condo was home away from home. Clean and spotless. The king size bed was wonderful. Ann & Fred were easy to work with – quick response to all communications. Thanks for all the restaurant suggestions. We had a couple of favorite restaurants ourselves – Kalooki’s at Blue Hills, The Bella Luna (on Grace Bay Road), ‘Somewhere’ at Coral Gardens Resort, Chinson’s on Leeward Highway to name a few. A great morning destination was the french bakery next to Caicos Café – a short walk down the beach. We would highly recommend it. Bryan & Denise"

Providenciales Travel Tips

Providenciales Vacation Rentals on 38 Square Miles of Bliss

Getting to Providenciales vacation rentals could not be easier. The island is home to the region’s only international airport. While it is the major resort area of the Turks and Caicos Islands, it is just 38 square miles. But those 38 square miles are a vacation paradise! Once you arrive for your Providenciales travel, venture to between the islands to discover each island’s unique characteristics. With a base in Providenciales, there are plenty of opportunities to take day trips out to explore the rest of this stunningly beautiful and tranquil area. It is close in distance to many major U.S. destinations, making it an ideal vacation for Americans. Temperatures here are constant throughout the year with averages between the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit, with little humidity and rain. Although the islands are British territory, the currency is the U.S. dollar.

As recently as the 1960s, there were no cars on the islands. Now, visitors can hire a 4x4 Jeep to make exploring all those out-of-the-way places easy. Another great option is to use the Gecko Shuttle, operating from Grace Bay. Be sure to buy your token before you board.

Stay at Providenciales Villas on the Beaches and Discover Paradise

Provo, as it is called locally, is the most developed of the islands, with resorts, golf courses and casinos. When asked, many visitors say they come for the pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. The beaches are beautiful but there is much more to Provo that that! Such as the unique Caicos Banks, an undersea pillar that comes from the depths of the ocean to within 30 to 50 feet of the surface. This bank provides safe inshore waters, just perfect for snorkeling, swimming and boating. Outside of the bank is a treacherous reef notorious for wrecking ships which makes for great diving and deep sea fishing.

There are a few tips to be aware of when hitting the beaches here. All the beaches are free and public, including those by hotels and private homes. Most of the coastline is part of the national park, and fishing is not allowed from the beach. There are a huge variety of watersports for visitors, including jet skiing, jet boating, skiff boating, kayaking, glass-bottom boat trips, parasailing, banana boats, semi-submarine trips, kiteboarding, and windsurfing. If you're ready to try something more than snorkeling but not quite ready to try diving, try snuba!

Meet the World’s Only Performing Conch!

For the days when the beach doesn’t beckon, there are golf and miniature golf, horseback riding, tennis, bicycling, jogging and soccer; you can also wander the miles of beach searching for shells and driftwood. Beach-combing can be one of the most delightful ways to spend a leisurely morning at Northwest Point. Here, the pounding surf brings new treasures with every wave. Then, of course, there are a variety of sights and attractions scattered around Provo. Try a visit to the Cheshire Hall Plantation Ruins, explore the spectacular caves and rock carvings at Sapodilla Hill and West Harbor Bluff, and sample the local beer with a visit to Turks Head Microbrewery and the world’s only conch farm at Caicos Conch Farm. Make sure to see the live show featuring some trained conchs!
