  • AMAZING.... LOCATION LOCATION

"I have been staying here for years. Best location on island, you can walk out your door and be right on the beach. Great beach side bar for food and drinks. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. All the units are keep very clean and have all the stuff you might need. I travel with my young son so safety is very important to me. There is a security guard all day and night, I have never had to worry about it. I would recommend Leanne and Coral Gardens to anyone!!!"

  • Just what we needed!

"We felt very fortunate to have such a wonderful villa. Our dive group of 4 couples travel together once every year and this year it was The Bright Idea Villa. It was our first visit to the island and Basia, the property manager, gave us so much information in advance, it made planning a trip the piece of cake! The home is just as the pictures show, spacious and beautifully decorated. The layout is perfect for families as well as traveling couples, as everyone was able to have either a wonderful upstairs room, or pool cabana, all with their own bathrooms! The quality of linens, pillows, cushions and other décor are all wonderful and add to the ambience. We had plenty of space to hang out either together or privately. The living room is cozy with the built in couch - brilliant! - and you could always find one of us hanging out there reading or getting on the internet. Basia's staff are all wonderful, very polite, Mi-Tuh was always checking on us and making sure we had anything we needed. We had a slight snafu with the new alarm system, and Basia went over and above in making sure we were not inconvenienced in any way (it was really no problem!). Thank you for the many evenings we had enjoying the pool, beach and bbq while staring out at the gorgeous Chalk Sound. Yes, the property is outside of town - we wanted it that way! Just make sure you have a car so you can head into town for activities (Basia recommended Grace Bay Car Rentals and they were excellent). We typically ate one meal at home and one meal out every day, either in Grace Bay, or nearby Las Brisas restaurant. We also used Flamingo Divers and felt they were our favorite dive operations ever - that is saying a lot since our group consists of very experienced divers including two instructors. No negatives here, just go and enjoy the lovely villa!"

  • Channel House

"Four couples stayed at the Channel House for one week in January. We all had a wonderful time. The house suited all of us perfectly. We had the ocean, the pool, the kayak, a well appointed kitchen, many seating areas and tables, a large deck overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed privacy but we were also close to the Grace Bay tourist area. Wish we could have stayed longer in such beautiful surroundings."

  • Love this place!

"This is our 3rd stay at OCW and the first in Bob's unit. It was everything he promised. Loved being on the ground floor this time. It was clean, well stocked and I was pleasantly surprised that there was a gorgeous fruit basket and some condiments for us to use. My kids were thrilled that Bob had some old movies in his collection (as did the front desk) and we loved the floaty chairs! The unit is so close to the pool and BBQ and less than a minute to the ocean. My ONLY negative comment is that the pull out was terribly uncomfortable for my kids (7&8) however, Bob had an air bed that we rigged up on top with the couch cushions and problem solved. The property is gorgeous...one of the prettiest we've seen on our walks. The gym has been renovated since our last visit in 2011 and is really nice for a small property. The pool is like a lazy river and its design allows for some privacy so you don't feel like you are sitting on top of the person next to you. We made use of the bikes on site and the grocery store was an easy walk. The beach is the best part...no fighting for chairs, low key, gorgeous, soft sand and a calm ocean that's clear and turquoise. Having a restaurant on site was handy for the lazy days. Disappointed that Coco Bistro had a one week wait for reservations so we didn't get there this time. Our favourite meal was at Magnolia during the sunset. Sunsets here are amazing in general and the beach is the best place to see them. The staff at OCW were friendly too. I met one of the new managers who always had a smile on his face and had some nice conversations with us - he was genuinely interested that we were having a nice time. It was nearly impossible to drag ourselves from the beach each evening to go for dinner! I also have to mention how these two nice kids, who were leaving the day we arrived, gave their boogie boards to my kids and made their ocean play time so much fun! So we did the same as we were leaving :) On our last day we found 2 huge star fish straight out front of our beach that made for some nice photos with two pretty ecstatic kids (before we returned them back to their spot). We've tried other islands as T&C isn't the cheapest destination but by far you get what you pay for in terms of the beautiful beach, calm ocean, quality of the restaurant food and general relaxation. This is our favourite spot! Of course, we're already thinking about when our next visit will be..."

Providenciales Travel Tips

Providenciales Vacation Rentals on 38 Square Miles of Bliss

Getting to Providenciales vacation rentals could not be easier. The island is home to the region’s only international airport. While it is the major resort area of the Turks and Caicos Islands, it is just 38 square miles. But those 38 square miles are a vacation paradise! Once you arrive for your Providenciales travel, venture to between the islands to discover each island’s unique characteristics. With a base in Providenciales, there are plenty of opportunities to take day trips out to explore the rest of this stunningly beautiful and tranquil area. It is close in distance to many major U.S. destinations, making it an ideal vacation for Americans. Temperatures here are constant throughout the year with averages between the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit, with little humidity and rain. Although the islands are British territory, the currency is the U.S. dollar.

As recently as the 1960s, there were no cars on the islands. Now, visitors can hire a 4x4 Jeep to make exploring all those out-of-the-way places easy. Another great option is to use the Gecko Shuttle, operating from Grace Bay. Be sure to buy your token before you board.

Stay at Providenciales Villas on the Beaches and Discover Paradise

Provo, as it is called locally, is the most developed of the islands, with resorts, golf courses and casinos. When asked, many visitors say they come for the pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. The beaches are beautiful but there is much more to Provo that that! Such as the unique Caicos Banks, an undersea pillar that comes from the depths of the ocean to within 30 to 50 feet of the surface. This bank provides safe inshore waters, just perfect for snorkeling, swimming and boating. Outside of the bank is a treacherous reef notorious for wrecking ships which makes for great diving and deep sea fishing.

There are a few tips to be aware of when hitting the beaches here. All the beaches are free and public, including those by hotels and private homes. Most of the coastline is part of the national park, and fishing is not allowed from the beach. There are a huge variety of watersports for visitors, including jet skiing, jet boating, skiff boating, kayaking, glass-bottom boat trips, parasailing, banana boats, semi-submarine trips, kiteboarding, and windsurfing. If you're ready to try something more than snorkeling but not quite ready to try diving, try snuba!

Meet the World’s Only Performing Conch!

For the days when the beach doesn’t beckon, there are golf and miniature golf, horseback riding, tennis, bicycling, jogging and soccer; you can also wander the miles of beach searching for shells and driftwood. Beach-combing can be one of the most delightful ways to spend a leisurely morning at Northwest Point. Here, the pounding surf brings new treasures with every wave. Then, of course, there are a variety of sights and attractions scattered around Provo. Try a visit to the Cheshire Hall Plantation Ruins, explore the spectacular caves and rock carvings at Sapodilla Hill and West Harbor Bluff, and sample the local beer with a visit to Turks Head Microbrewery and the world’s only conch farm at Caicos Conch Farm. Make sure to see the live show featuring some trained conchs!
