  • Third Time's The Charm - We love Provo!!

"Just returned from our third visit to Reef Residences and can't wait to go back. There is no other place we would rather stay. One can't beat the price, the accommodations, the service and of course the proximity of beautiful Grace Bay, one of the best beaches in the world! This unit is lovely and includes all of the niceties of home from shampoo and moisturizers to bottle openers. Don't need to bring anything unless you are at tea drinker. This unit includes a patio where we enjoy our breakfast, practice yoga and take our cocktails before dinner. Lovely!!!We usually pack ample snacks, some breakfast items, two bottles of wine and then purchase what we need by taking a taxi to the local IGA where there is great produce and a good selection of wines. Verne, the manager, and his staff are the consummate professionals who will book rental cars, trips and make dinner reservations. ( don't forget to tip him at the end of your stay!! He is wonderful) There is a small, clean gym and a treatment room for massages and facials ( enjoyed a 60 minute massage with Mitzi. Excellent). Dining establishments are just a beach walk away or short taxi ride. We eat most meals at the beachside Somewhere Cafe. We just got home today and will try to convince the husband to go back in August!! Enjoy!!"

  • Beautiful House in great location

"We had three couples stay at the Reef Pearl House. It was easy to find, convenient location to a nice Marina at Turtle Cove, and some local restaurants. Also close to the IGA on Leeward, but groceries and alcohol were very expensive. We were there in April, and the pool was very warm and comfortable. The beach was nice, but sloped and has very soft sand. Kind of hard to walk in. The hot tub did not work after one night, so we were unable to use it. This was the only downside of our entire week. We took excursions through Big Blue in the Blue Haven Marina, about 20 minutes away. The house was clean, neat and had two separate living quarters. The beds were King in Master, King downstairs in separate quarters, and double, (supposed to be Queen) in smaller bedroom. Nice kitchens with plenty of cooking utensils, and dishes. The upper floor has a beautiful wrap around deck. A large game room is in the garage area, and a play area for anyone with children. Lots of snorkel equipment, sailboat, kayaks are available also. Our house manager could be contacted for any problems we had or information that we needed. He was wonderful and very helpful. Security guards are on premises around the clock, but speak little English, and are very helpful and friendly. We felt safe and enjoyed our trip to the fullest. The Reef Pearl House shares a tennis court that is quite large with the Conch Pearl house next door. The houses are far apart, and very private. Our private beach had plenty of chairs and we spent most of our days enjoying the breeze and snorkeling right out front. There is a beautiful reef, Smith's Reef a short walking distance from the house that is spectacular and teeming with all kinds of fish, turtles, coral and memorials on the bottom floor. Large TV's in Living Room, Bedrooms and nice Stereo for some good Island Music while enjoying the view from the upper deck on the comfortable furniture. I would highly recommend this vacation property."

  • ISO: Peace, beauty, total comfort

"Coral Villa is truly a perfect place to experience the best of Provo. It is a lovely, well cared for villa that has two lovely spacious bedrooms, each with their own spotless baths, a very comfy living area and kitchen (with every possible utensil and updated appliance you'd need), and the gem is an enormous screened in porch that overlooks a peaceful back yard. I guarantee you will live out there. Best yet, you are literally 5 minutes walk away from the most pristine, beautiful beach in the Caribbean, Grace Bay Beach, that is EMPTY! Louise is the most accommodating hostess you can imagine and there is even the use of a washer/drier that comes in very handy. Many excellent restaurants are within walking or driving distance and grocery stores are nearby. Our very favorite was Bay Bistro at the Sibonne Beach Hotel -- a very romantic setting right on the beach, perfect for dinner but even better, for breakfast, because the view is so idyllic. Whatever you do, don't miss the Thursday night Fish Fry at the nearby waterfront park. You can easily walk there. It is a must and you get to mingle with both tourists and residents and eat and drink from a huge selection of local restaurants who set up food tents. Snorkeling on the island is fantastic and the two best reefs are literally within a half mile of the villa. Provo is expensive but if you cook at home or, better yet, plan ahead and bring some critical snacks and foods down with you, you can manage to save money. Beaches are free and plentiful and Louise offers beach chairs and umbrellas for you to use. Rum is cheap. I would highly recommend renting a car, at least for a few days, because the island is fun to explore. Having said that, you can basically walk to everything you need from the villa. If you are looking for an idyllic getaway, this is the place. We have stayed other places on Provo and Coral Villa is without question the one we would return to."

  • Great place to stay

"Dear Bob and Cathy We loved Ocean Club East. What a great resort and the studio condo was perfect for us. We had a great time and will definitely go back again! The beach was a short 2 minute walk from the condo through the gardens of the resort which are impeccably maintained. The pools are beautiful clean and well taken care of. The resort staff are friendly and personable and the food at the beach restaurant was good. We explored both the beach up to Leeward right to the Marina and the beach further west which had some great snorkeling. We took part in many activities outside of the resort, Stand up Paddle boarding through Big Blue unlimited was fantastic. Provo ponies was another fun adventure on the other side of the Island and we got to ride through the water on horseback. JoJo the dolphin hung around the resort swimming area of the waters and we loved watching him pop up to say Hello. We can't thank you enough for letting us use your space for the week. WE will definitely come back again! Thank you"

Providenciales Travel Tips

Providenciales Vacation Rentals on 38 Square Miles of Bliss

Getting to Providenciales vacation rentals could not be easier. The island is home to the region’s only international airport. While it is the major resort area of the Turks and Caicos Islands, it is just 38 square miles. But those 38 square miles are a vacation paradise! Once you arrive for your Providenciales travel, venture to between the islands to discover each island’s unique characteristics. With a base in Providenciales, there are plenty of opportunities to take day trips out to explore the rest of this stunningly beautiful and tranquil area. It is close in distance to many major U.S. destinations, making it an ideal vacation for Americans. Temperatures here are constant throughout the year with averages between the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit, with little humidity and rain. Although the islands are British territory, the currency is the U.S. dollar.

As recently as the 1960s, there were no cars on the islands. Now, visitors can hire a 4x4 Jeep to make exploring all those out-of-the-way places easy. Another great option is to use the Gecko Shuttle, operating from Grace Bay. Be sure to buy your token before you board.

Stay at Providenciales Villas on the Beaches and Discover Paradise

Provo, as it is called locally, is the most developed of the islands, with resorts, golf courses and casinos. When asked, many visitors say they come for the pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. The beaches are beautiful but there is much more to Provo that that! Such as the unique Caicos Banks, an undersea pillar that comes from the depths of the ocean to within 30 to 50 feet of the surface. This bank provides safe inshore waters, just perfect for snorkeling, swimming and boating. Outside of the bank is a treacherous reef notorious for wrecking ships which makes for great diving and deep sea fishing.

There are a few tips to be aware of when hitting the beaches here. All the beaches are free and public, including those by hotels and private homes. Most of the coastline is part of the national park, and fishing is not allowed from the beach. There are a huge variety of watersports for visitors, including jet skiing, jet boating, skiff boating, kayaking, glass-bottom boat trips, parasailing, banana boats, semi-submarine trips, kiteboarding, and windsurfing. If you're ready to try something more than snorkeling but not quite ready to try diving, try snuba!

Meet the World’s Only Performing Conch!

For the days when the beach doesn’t beckon, there are golf and miniature golf, horseback riding, tennis, bicycling, jogging and soccer; you can also wander the miles of beach searching for shells and driftwood. Beach-combing can be one of the most delightful ways to spend a leisurely morning at Northwest Point. Here, the pounding surf brings new treasures with every wave. Then, of course, there are a variety of sights and attractions scattered around Provo. Try a visit to the Cheshire Hall Plantation Ruins, explore the spectacular caves and rock carvings at Sapodilla Hill and West Harbor Bluff, and sample the local beer with a visit to Turks Head Microbrewery and the world’s only conch farm at Caicos Conch Farm. Make sure to see the live show featuring some trained conchs!
