"Upon arriving at the property, we were warmly greeted by both Shawnamae and Terria, and shown around the unbelievably beautiful property. The condo took our breath(s) away, my teenagers were ecstatic at its luxury and comfort. The décor is beautiful and beach-y, and we slept like angels in our lovely beds. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen was perfect (granite, stainless, the works), and we appreciated the coffee and sugars that were provided. We ate most all breakfasts and lunches next door at the Ocean Club (very good), and walked to several excellent restaurants (Opus, Coco Bistro among them). We liked riding the bikes to town for ice cream! Every trip and taxi arranged for us went perfectly, and we would definitely recommend this facility and in particular, this condo to anyone! In hindsight, we should have rented a car to explore more, but everyone had so much fun just sitting or taking walks that we never felt like we missed much... Again, a wonderful, memorable experience!"Guest: Katie U. Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 25, 2014View listing
"This was our first time to Provo, and we enjoyed our stay very much at this nice little condo. The property is adjacent to the beach, so you are a few steps away from the most amazing beach in the world. There is a great little restaurant on the back of the property that my wife and I ate dinner at several nights and watched the sunset. Owners were always very responsive with the few questions we had, and the condo is equipped well with some conveniences like a local cell phone that you can add minutes to and use while on the island, and a magic jack to call home, as well as wi-fi, cable tv, A/C, etc. It was a comfortable place to stay, and the unit is very spacious for 2 people and you could easily tag along a few kids as there was a roll away bed in the closet. The one advice I would give is that you really do need a rental car or you're going to be fairly bound to the property. It's on the far eastern side of grace bay, so it's a bit of a walk to any shopping, grocery store, etc. We went to avis in grace bay and rented an economy car for $29/day, and that worked out well. I would highly recommend this property, and would return again!"Guest: Steve E Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 24, 2014View listing
"We rented the Penthouse because of our anniversary vacation. The view is ocean front. The pictures are accurate. The very large one bedroom 1.5 baths was aplenty of room for us. The Penthouse was very clean and fully functional. All kitchen utensils made it easy to cook but we loved the Somewhere cafe- it feeds my Tex-Mex addiction. Great reasonably priced food with wonderful staff- Travis, Larry and Tina were perfect servers. Don't drink too much and try to walk back to the Penthouse with 3 flights of stairs :-). Check in was a bit confusing because there is two office because of the dual purpose (personal owned and facility operated rented) but once we got that sorted out quickly the concierge Jerome made us feel very welcome. He offered to help in any way, by giving us our own cell phone for island use and told us to call his cell if I ever needed anything - very nice guy!! Kevin was also one of the managers near the bar/restaurant and really made sure we were always happy. Jaya and Leanne was very helpful during the booking to assure I knew what the differences were as they had different options for accommodations - we went for the best available and really appreciate their advise. One of the best features of the property is the swim out coral reef. We rented the gear from the on site shop. The Snuba adventure uses the same reef and is a must!!! We frequently rent from VRBO and this was a great find! Thank you LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE PENTHOUSE WAS THE BEST!!!!"Guest: Bruce Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 12, 2014View listing
"Our family of 5 just returned from a truly unforgettable vacation at Aqua View Villa. The pictures on this site just can’t do this location justice. The setting, overlooking the almost unreal Chalk Sound, took our breath away and the house was incredibly clean, comfortable and roomy. Between the 3 bedrooms, the expansive inside living room, the HUGE screened-in porch (complete with plenty of seating and stereo), the infinity pool and the covered hammock under the water's edge gazebo (again with stereo), it was hard to force ourselves to leave and explore the island. The property manager Jose, was first rate-incredibly personable and helpful with great ideas on places to go and restaurants to dine at, and he was just a cell phone call away in case of any need! The housekeeper Novellette, keeps the house in pristine condition. We have rented dozens of homes/condos over the years and we have never had the pleasure of staying in a cleaner, more well maintained home—thank you Jose and Novellette! We explored almost every corner of this beautiful island and every time we came back to the house we agreed there truly wasn't a better view/setting anywhere! Finally, we found the house to be very family friendly—the kitchen was well equipped (there are only so many times you want to eat out with kids), all the beds were super comfortable, the hosts provide an abundance of bath/beach towels, the wifi signal was strong and reliable and the gated entrance/fence around the property added a level of security/comfort. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with our family--we hope we are blessed enough to return again!"Guest: G and S, Ann Arbor MI Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 24, 2014View listing
Providenciales Travel Tips
Providenciales Vacation Rentals on 38 Square Miles of Bliss
Getting to Providenciales vacation rentals could not be easier. The island is home to the region’s only international airport. While it is the major resort area of the Turks and Caicos Islands, it is just 38 square miles. But those 38 square miles are a vacation paradise! Once you arrive for your Providenciales travel, venture to between the islands to discover each island’s unique characteristics. With a base in Providenciales, there are plenty of opportunities to take day trips out to explore the rest of this stunningly beautiful and tranquil area. It is close in distance to many major U.S. destinations, making it an ideal vacation for Americans. Temperatures here are constant throughout the year with averages between the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit, with little humidity and rain. Although the islands are British territory, the currency is the U.S. dollar.
As recently as the 1960s, there were no cars on the islands. Now, visitors can hire a 4x4 Jeep to make exploring all those out-of-the-way places easy. Another great option is to use the Gecko Shuttle, operating from Grace Bay. Be sure to buy your token before you board.
Stay at Providenciales Villas on the Beaches and Discover Paradise
Provo, as it is called locally, is the most developed of the islands, with resorts, golf courses and casinos. When asked, many visitors say they come for the pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. The beaches are beautiful but there is much more to Provo that that! Such as the unique Caicos Banks, an undersea pillar that comes from the depths of the ocean to within 30 to 50 feet of the surface. This bank provides safe inshore waters, just perfect for snorkeling, swimming and boating. Outside of the bank is a treacherous reef notorious for wrecking ships which makes for great diving and deep sea fishing.
There are a few tips to be aware of when hitting the beaches here. All the beaches are free and public, including those by hotels and private homes. Most of the coastline is part of the national park, and fishing is not allowed from the beach. There are a huge variety of watersports for visitors, including jet skiing, jet boating, skiff boating, kayaking, glass-bottom boat trips, parasailing, banana boats, semi-submarine trips, kiteboarding, and windsurfing. If you're ready to try something more than snorkeling but not quite ready to try diving, try snuba!
Meet the World’s Only Performing Conch!
For the days when the beach doesn’t beckon, there are golf and miniature golf, horseback riding, tennis, bicycling, jogging and soccer; you can also wander the miles of beach searching for shells and driftwood. Beach-combing can be one of the most delightful ways to spend a leisurely morning at Northwest Point. Here, the pounding surf brings new treasures with every wave. Then, of course, there are a variety of sights and attractions scattered around Provo. Try a visit to the Cheshire Hall Plantation Ruins, explore the spectacular caves and rock carvings at Sapodilla Hill and West Harbor Bluff, and sample the local beer with a visit to Turks Head Microbrewery and the world’s only conch farm at Caicos Conch Farm. Make sure to see the live show featuring some trained conchs!
