  • Great vacation house

"My wife and I stayed at Emerald Estate for the March Break. We had visited the island before so we were prepared for the logistics of getting there with groceries, ferry schedule, car rental, etc. and Alpheus was helpful in this planning. The house Was all that we had hoped for. The ocean was mere steps from the porch, a sandy beach was a short stroll down the coast and the reef off the coast meant the waves were not overpowering. The house was reached by driving a private road with only a handful of homes within roof sight so it felt very private and secluded. the house had ac but we did not use it as there was a cooling east breeze everyday. The house included plenty of bed linens, bath towels and beach towels and a washer and dryer if needed. There was lots of hot water in the shower and bathroom but it took a long time for warm water to reach the kitchen sink. We ate most meals at the house and ther were lots of dishes, pots, pans and appliances. We brought some food from home, bought most meat and produce in Provo and used the North Caicos stores for bread, milk, ice and eggs. The pantry was empty, not even salt, pepper or sugar, so come prepared. We used the house as a base to explore the islands We rented a SUV and drove all over with no difficulty. We went to Middle Caicos Conch Bar Caves, Mudjin Harbour and many beaches. We spotted whales off Pumpkin Bluff, walked miles of deserted beaches, visited the plantation ruins and swam in the ocean every day. Alpheus kindly had a phone we could use and also checked in with us several times to see if he could help with anything. The Internet connection worked well. Our week was spent enjoying the ocean, islands, friendly people and all from a well equipped (and situated) house. Thank you Alpheus for giving us a great week."

  • Great property in a great location

"Just came back from a week spent at Provo. The Room was fine overall with all the amenities of a rented condo: fully stocked kitchen, cable tv and internet access, etc. I wish a couple of items were improved - very insignificant in the overall picture. 1. Wireless internet was barely useful due to slow speed and line congestion. As a result Skype was barely functional in the room, same for Netflix streaming and the like. Up/down speeds avged at 1.5mb up and down. On the positive side a 4 port router is provided in the room so a network cable could be used to plug in directly and improve the connection somewhat. Also the room only has 2 coffee mugs. At least 4 would have been useful on a couple of occasions. Otherwise, Provo is Provo and the overall experience of the vacation is hard to spoil as long as the weather cooperates."

  • Beautiful room on a lovely property

"We rented Unit 501 from March 28 - April 4, 2015. What a beautiful property! The unit itself was spotless and provided everything we could have wanted and all the comforts of home. The kitchen has full amenities along with dishes, utensils and coffee for the week. It is beautifully decorated with warm spa-like colors. The unit is located next to the pool and doesn't have an ocean view but it doesn't matter, the beach is only steps away. There is a nice patio with table and chairs that we sat at for coffee in the morning and drinks in the late afternoons. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet, beach vacation, this is the place for you!"

  • Beautiful Property, Great Unit, Well Maintained

"Turks & Caicos has beautiful beaches with soft white sand. The Grandview condominum building is in a great location set between two full scale resorts where you have easily access to food and cocktails from the beach. It is a well maintained and beautiful property with useful amenities. Unit 102 is tastefully decorated and fully stocked by its owners who are a charming couple which was easy to deal with and who genuinely want their guests to have a wonderful experience. We did! Photos on VRBO are true and all the stuff worked well."
