  • Excellent Villa for Family Vacation

"Our family of 4 adults stayed at the Villa for 9 nights. Loved every aspect of the Villa! Beautiful views from the upstairs windows & decks & plenty of room for everyone to relax in an island home. The pool was a great place to cool off or unwind at the end of the day. Grace Bay is a minutes walk from the Villa & we spent many hours floating & snorkeling right off the beach. We used the BBQ several times & cooked most breakfasts. There was an issue with the oven & dishwasher but it was fixed immediately & was not a big deal to us. The cable was out most of our stay but again not a big deal & it was no fault of the Villas as the provider was having issues. Location was awesome...easy walk to the Fish fry & other places for a quick meal or drink. It is centrally located so it was an easy drive to IGA, Turtle Cove, Blue Haven, the Airport...pretty much anywhere. Everyone from the Owner, Propery Manager, Housekeeping, Maintenance man & Security Guards are top notch! Everyone gave us great advice on the "must do's" while in Provo & took excellent care of us! Highly recommend this rental & hope to return in the near future."

  • A wonderful house, on a wonderful island

"The Compass Rose was the absolute perfect place for us on Salt Cay. It was furnished fully with everything we could have ever needed (plenty of dishes/cups/glasses/kitchen utensils) towels & sheets, etc. The Rose is situated in the South of the island, and you get an amazing sunrise AND sunset (especially on the raised deck), as well as a perfect, cooling breeze blowing through all day. The house is furnished with plenty of fans (ceiling and floor type) and staying cool was not a problem. There is a modern entertainment system (with Bose surround sound system), microwave, a nice BBQ grill, fridge, screened in porch area with fans, all of the furniture is comfortable, functional, and very attractive. The owners have done an excellent job with decorations and furnishings. The yard is nice and level, with numerous local types of plants growing throughout the space. (Including Turks Heads cactuses/cacti) We really enjoyed the outdoor shower (there is an indoor one as well!) and sitting on the upper deck watching the sunset. We found the Compass Rose to be just within reach of everything we needed on the island, but just far enough out of reach to ensure privacy and solitude. We would definitely reccomend the Rose and look forward to hopefully being able to stay there again soon!"

  • Family of fourteen

"La Koubba is a perfect setting for a group. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. All needs were anticipated by Marjorie, the manager. Marjorie had prepared us with advice and references for groceries and catering. We were greeted by Marjorie at car rental and then given a detailed tour of La Koubba. The villa is amazing with beautiful and spacious rooms. There were so many places to sit and socialize and find a private place to read and nap. The pool is positioned perfectly just near the kitchen and barbecue. The art work and furnishings are so interesting and so comfortable. You can't help but smile. The kitchen was great in size and utensils and appliances. Laundry facilities were so convenient. The grill was great as well as the lobster pot and outdoor cooktop. The extra frig was great for storing up on water and beverages. This home was planned with care and great taste. The kayaks were great as well as the pool and beach toys. We rented paddle boards as the sound is the perfect water for boarding. So many things to do- hiking, walking, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, building sand castles......Turks and Caicos Grace Bay was fun to visit but we were so happy to get back to La Koubba. Marjorie had told us about other beaches to visit and we went to the Fish Fry on her advice- our favourite night- great food and great music! We have talked about our next trip and everyone said, "How could any other place be so perfect for our family?" We've travelled many places, this was so perfect, so much fun! Thank you Marjorie for a perfect week!"

  • True island cottage home

"Our daughter. her three children and my husband and I truly enjoyed your island home. It was well appointed and the location was perfect. Very comfortable beds, linens, and great cookware. You will want for nothing in this lovely cottage. I do think I should tell first time visitors to the island that you need to bring cash or have it readily available. Many places credit card machines did not work or could not make connection. At least that is what we were told. Be prepared for higher prices on everything as it is pricey. We met a young family who were not prepared for the high prices and were not to happy they had not been advised of prices or cash requirements. AAA for the best beaches, sweet people and total relaxation. We stayed two weeks and loved every minute. Our teenagers got a bit bored after 8 days. Relaxation and beaches are the main events."

Turks & Caicos Islands Travel Tips

Turks and Caicos Vacation Rentals Welcome Visitors

Located some 650 miles east-southeast of Miami, the Turks and Caicos Islands are a British overseas territory. This sun-seekers' paradise is a neighbor to the Bahamas. Its capital is Cockburn Town, located on Grand Turk Island. The main entry point is Providenciales, with its international airport and harbor. From here, visitors can fly on to any of the inhabited islands. Its tropical climate and pleasant trade winds makes it an attractive location. This largely unspoiled area is a unique paradise where the inhabitants, or "belongers" as they are known, warmly welcome visitors. Visitors to Turks and Caicos vacation rentals come for the unspoiled beaches and crystal-clear water. Here, they enjoy the relaxed atmosphere along with beautiful scenery.

The Caicos Islands

The area of West Caicos is perfect for scuba diving and fishing. This uninhabited island is accessible by boat and often, the only company you'll have are the birds. While on the island, visitors often hike to Lake Catherine and the ruins of Yankee Town where all that remains are the remnants of the railroad and a steam engine.

Bird-lovers will also enjoy a trip to Little Water Cay, currently being developed as a nature resort for its wide variety of birds. Once the haunt of pirates such as Mary Reid and Annie Bonnie, Parrot Cay is now currently being developed into a resort area. Known as the "Emerald Isle" for its fertile soil, North Caicos is where much of the island's food is produced. It is also a tourist area, with miles of deserted beaches. Here, visitors will see osprey, flamingos and iguanas among the wildlife at the nature reserve. Middle Caicos, or "Grand Caicos," as it is sometimes known, is an undeveloped island. The inhabitants live in one of three settlements--Conch Bar, Banbarra and Lorimers. The coast is made up of bluffs and small, quiet coves on the west. To the south and north are high limestone cliffs and white sandy beaches. Here, visitors can explore the island's incredible caves. Middle Caicos is connected to North Caicos by a causeway accessible to cross at low tide.

Uninhabited East Caicos is home to the local turtle population who lay their eggs along its 17 miles of beach at the north of the island. Evidence of early rock carvings has been discovered to the northwest. On South Caicos is the quiet capital of Cockburn Harbor where visitors to Turks and Caicos villas can enjoy a quiet but social evening. During the day, this island is known for yachting, diving and spectacular big-game fishing.

The Turks Island

Grand Turk is the location of the islands' government and its business area. Visitors to Turks and Caicos vacation rentals here will enjoy the history as well as the culture. The waterfront museum details the story of the Molasses shipwreck and features rare manuscripts and prints gathered from among the islands. Buildings here date from the early 19th century, with high, white-washed walls and imposing entrances. Visitors will enjoy the diving, walks and guided tours on offer here.

Salt Cay, dominated by an imposing 1830s-style, white Bermudian house is one of the most charismatic of the Salt Islands. It is home to salt ponds which are still productive. Here, visitors will find relics of the old whaling industry. It has excellent beaches and during the winter, the majestic humpback whales can be spotted off its coast. Many visitors choose Turks and Caicos travel during the winter in order to spot these incredible gentle giants en route to their nearby breeding ground. Real enthusiasts will enjoy a diving trip to listen to the whales' song underwater. Visitors will also enjoy the opportunity to swim with the dolphins and turtles and see the spotted eagle rays and manta rays.

Turks and Caicos Travel to Find a Home Away From Home

Visitors to Turks and Caicos villas will find a warm welcome from the "belongers" and a wonderful property to call home. There is such an array of properties available that visitors will be hard-pressed to pick the one that best suits them. Huge beachfront properties, with their own docks and pool or small cozy cottages with private pools--the choice is impressive. Each property comes with all the little extras that make a vacation home into something really special. The major benefit of renting a home is that of space; you'll get to relax in private, peaceful surroundings. Visitors will find all that and much more with these Turks and Caicos vacation rentals.
