"Our family had taken a trip to St. John 15 years ago when our children were teens and stayed at Maho Bay, an eco camping experience and it was wonderful. This time we returned with adult children and decided a house would be more appropriate, given the differences in personalities and expectations. Alan and Sarah's home was perfect for a quieter stay on the east end. We rented two cars to allow flexibility in sightseeing and meeting up later. The double porches were great at allowing a constant breeze throughout the house, the DIVI resort was a quick walk down the hill for those who wanted to just spend time on the beach and the kitchen allowed us to have half our meals at "home", thus saving us money for some meals at the great restaurants scattered throughout the island. The rental process was smooth, any small concerns we had while we were there were quickly handled via email and the caretaker. The rental cost was worth every penny and we would return to this house just for the sunrises and gentle, warm breezes. Thanks for sharing your home with strangers."

  • Location, location, location!

"We recently returned from eight nights at Blue Tranquility. This condo is right on the beach! We visited a number of resorts and beaches, and none had such proximity to the ocean. It's also a short drive to Christiansted, and groceries are less than a 1/2 mile away. We ate every meal on the gallery, and spent most evenings there as well. The pool was very nice and warm. It was kept very clean. The sugar mill makes it picturesque. We were often the only ones at the pool, although there were plenty of chairs and loungers. The tennis courts were adequate. The beach itself is not the nicest beach as the sand is course, but we used this as an opportunity to beach hop. The whole island was battling sargassum, but the staff tried to clean it up. The condo is well-equipped, and the beds were comfortable. Resort management was responsive. The owners were quick to reply when we made our reservation. We were very pleased with our stay at Blue Tranquility."

  • Awesome Vacation Home!!!

"Words alone can't describe this vacation home. There were 9 of us total, seven adults and two older kids. We stayed for three nights. Wow! We were blown away as we entered the house. With 4 bedrooms, each having its own bathroom, and separate back entrances unto the pool and backyard area, everyone had more than enough space to spread out. The house is spacious, the bedrooms are big and bathrooms also. The kitchen was just so inviting with lots of space, well equipped with appliances and utensils and a flat screen TV on the wall to top it off. The yard is huge with lots of fruit trees and plenty of sitting and relaxing areas. Lots of space to run around if you have small kids. You can almost fit a football field in there. And the pool! Oh its a spa pool, we had so much fun in it. We didn't want to get out. It's heated, and very relaxing with lots of great features like water spouting and changing the water color. We all enjoyed it. It's a great place for entertaining as well with the huge porch and patios, outside grill and sitting areas. Wish we were there longer. We didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back anytime we are visiting St. Croix again. No more small, cramped hotel rooms for us! This is our St. Croix home. Zendarine was an awesome host. She made sure that everything was taken care of and that we were comfortable. Very nice lady. On the day of our arrival she made us some smoothies from a fruit in the yard called egg fruit. So delicious! She even hang out with us a little by the pool chatting and helping us to know about St. Croix. Like I said, words alone can't describe it all. You have to go there to experience it. Thanks Zendarine!"

  • Toucan House

"Stayed at Toucan House March 2015 for a week. Very good place to stay in St Croix. Good quiet location with no security issues. Great layout for a two bedroom unit - the teenager's bedroom was well separated from ours! The pool (and everything else) was very clean and well maintained. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the beach but with a multitude of beaches, all public access and all with their own unique attraction with respect to snorkeling, body surfing, etc. I think the non beachfront location is an advantage. Very close to Point Udall and the hiking path to Isaac's Bay and plenty of nearby great places to eat, drink, and bask in the island pace of life. Everything from meeting at the airport (in spite of US Air costing us a day of vacation), orienting to the facility, and closing down at the end of the stay was handled superbly. I highly recommend Toucan House and would stay there again without hesitation."
