"My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in St. Croix. Staying at the secluded Sugar Mill at Annaly Farms was a perfect choice. We loved the history of the estate which you are surrounded with while still enjoying the latest amenities and comforts. In the morning we enjoyed our coffee and quiet time out on the veranda overlooking the ruins of the old steam powered machine once used for sugar cane production. Minutes away from the beach, we were awe struck with the beauty of the water and wildlife. Snorkeling was like jumping into an aquarium as you are surrounded by the marine life. Local food was good and conveniently located.
In the evening we relaxed once again at the Mill and out on the veranda where looking up at the stars is breath taking since there are no neighboring lights to obstruct the view.
Although we did not need the extra rooms on this trip the Mill is roomy enough for a full family.
If you are a reader, on the coffee table we discovered "The Bull of Annaly" which details the history of the Lawaetz family who still maintains this property and have invested their lives into the St. Croix community for generations. If you are not a reader, you would still enjoy browsing the photographs including one of President Truman in front of the Mill.
We intend this to be one of many trips back to the Mill for our family."

"We rented Bill's beach house in March 2014, we are still talking about how incredible it was!!! We were 5 of us in the family ranging from age 30 to 87. We snorkeled, went diving, walked on the pier and checked out beaches every day. The beach house was secluded and just want we wanted to have some privacy and yet be able to walk to town. Our first day there my daughter found hatching turtles!! We saw sea turtles and sea horses and had some great local food!!

"Your jaw will drop when you step outside and look out at the pool and Caribbean that are both waiting for you outside your door. The location of this unit couldn't be better (we LOVED Frederiksted!) and both my wife and I agree that this was one of the best vacation rentals we've ever stayed in -- with a few caveats. There are three rental properties on this site: the large chalet at the other end of the pool, the one bedroom on the ground level (which is what we rented) and a small apartment above the one bedroom. Since we were the only ones staying at the property, we LOVED the privacy it afforded, but if one or more of the other properties were rented at the same time, it could get to be a bit crowded -- unless you knew the other renters. And yes, the structure is old and a bit warn down, but the VERY reasonable price and the SPECTACULAR location more than make up for need for some upgrades (none of which bothered my wife or I.) The property was very clean and in good repair (except for the dishwasher -- detergent dispenser is on the fritz.) LOTS of towels and their was a bottle of Cruzan Rum and some fresh flowers waiting for us when we arrived. Nice touch! Steve, the contact guy on site, was super friendly and helpful with improving the speed of the wifi by moving the router from the big house to our smaller one. (But the wi-fi is really slow, good mostly for e-mail and simple apps.) TV in the bedroom is only for DVD's -- not hooked up to anything. Teri, the owner, was very, very nice in all our communications and always responded within a day to any questions I had. If anything, the place is much, much nicer than the listing shows and I would happily recommend it to friends or family, especially if you could rent it when the other two units were vacant (but that's just me.) Be sure to eat at Pollys and Turtles Deli and at Rhythm's on Rainbow Beach (which is a short walk or drive up the coast from the house.) Jennifer at Cruzan Cowgirls does some super nice horseback rides which meet across the road from Rhythms, and if you're a diver or want to learn, head over to N2 The Blue Dive Shop! Have a blast!"

"Zenderine has put a lot of work into making her home the perfect
place to stay during your visit to St. Croix. Her home is beautiful, well
equiped, private, and centrally located to three beaches. Just make sure you get directions to them. The grounds are incredible with flowers, herbs, coconut trees, fruit trees, and little iguanas. Her pool is the best. It is heated and just the most relaxing thing other than her jetted tubs. She had a simple but delicious meal awaiting us when we arrived which was greatly appreciated. She joined us and we got to know her and she is a lovely person who has put a lot of thought into her home and how to welcome guests into it based upon her own experiences when traveling. You won't regret renting her home she calls yellow bird. You will be in paradise.
