  • This Condo was exactly what we were looking for!

"We were looking for something with a waterfront view with a little beach. The condo is on the third level overlooking the bay with Christiansted in the view off to the East. It is a little hard to find as the streets are not marked. With the help of a smart phone and the address you will get there. Upon arrival the complimentary bottle of rum was well received. The front door has a cast iron screen that locks so we opened both sets of sliding doors to the Lanai and left the front door open with the screen closed. The sea breeze was wonderful and never rested while we were there. We left the doors and windows open from the time we arrived until we left and just enjoyed the breeze. Not once getting warm enough to warrant the AC. The condo was well furnished, clean and very comfortable. The BBQ grills and pool area were an added bonus. The location was such that it was only minutes from any where on the island. You can snorkel in front of the condo but the better snorkel areas were on the south side of the island only a short drive. This condo came with all the snorkel gear we needed."

  • A little piece of paradise

"A friend and I stayed here for nine days in Jan-Feb 2015, and we loved it. We chose Frederksted because snorkeling on the west end of the island isn't impeded by sea grass (which can be a problem elsewhere). And we chose this condo because it's right on the beach...literally steps from some great snorkeling and swimming! Plus it's a small complex, off the beaten path, very quiet and well maintained, with a beautiful pool from which you can watch the fabulous sunsets. But it's also not far from a variety of nice beaches, bars, good food, occasional live music (ie Reggae band), shops, and other small town amenities, as well as a large supermarket within driving distance. You can get by without a car, but we rented a jeep and felt it was worth the expense for shopping and checking out the rest of the island. Ours was a completely positive experience, but here are some things to consider when booking: the condo is on the 3rd floor (so has stairs), there's a spectacular view from the screened in veranda (but the proximity to the crashing surf means it's loud at night), and there's just one AC unit in the bedroom (but with the trade winds, we never actually needed it). Also, when they say "just bring your bikini" they mean it! We way overpacked. The condo has towels, shampoo/conditioner/soap, hair dryer, kitchen stuff, sugar, coffee, seasonings, some beach stuff, and more. No need to dress up, unless you want to. There's a washer/dryer/detergent on site. Bring your own mask and fins for snorkeling, tho. Wear sunscreen and hat! Our favorite day trip was on Captain Lew's catamaran for snorkeling and swimming on Buck Island (east side of the island). Lew and his "first mate" David are funny and laid back...not touristy at all. Lew is actually a musician, a cool cat who lived and recorded in New York years ago, and still plays local venues (currently at Cheeseburgers in Paradise). The snorkeling at Buck Island was good, but we saw essentially the same creatues right in front of our own condo, albeit in lesser numbers. Also, Lew let us shower at the yacht club after, so were desalinated enough to check out C'sted (Christiansed) before heading back to F'sted. Lew recommended lunch at Kim's (he's friends with the family), and it was good, authentic Caribbean food...I got the fresh local grouper. C'sted is more upscale and tourist oriented than F'sted, but both were nice in their own way, and local folks are friendly and helpful if you make the initial effort."

  • Location, location, location!

"We recently returned from eight nights at Blue Tranquility. This condo is right on the beach! We visited a number of resorts and beaches, and none had such proximity to the ocean. It's also a short drive to Christiansted, and groceries are less than a 1/2 mile away. We ate every meal on the gallery, and spent most evenings there as well. The pool was very nice and warm. It was kept very clean. The sugar mill makes it picturesque. We were often the only ones at the pool, although there were plenty of chairs and loungers. The tennis courts were adequate. The beach itself is not the nicest beach as the sand is course, but we used this as an opportunity to beach hop. The whole island was battling sargassum, but the staff tried to clean it up. The condo is well-equipped, and the beds were comfortable. Resort management was responsive. The owners were quick to reply when we made our reservation. We were very pleased with our stay at Blue Tranquility."
