  • Great Christmas in Colony Cove

"We had a wonderful vacation in your condo at Colony Cove. Everything we needed was supplied plus the extra touches upon arrival of fresh flowers & a bottle of Cruzan rum. Everyone at the complex was friendly & helpful. We liked the fact that the condo was in a great location, close to the grocery store & to places to eat. We already plan to return next Christmas to St Croix. Thank you for allowing us to rent your condo & giving us the best family vacation we have ever taken."

  • 6 Days to Decide

"We visited St. Croix under the premise that we may be moving there soon so we rented this condo to experience reality as closely as possible. We were able to easily cook meals in the unit as there were plenty of cookware items and utensils. The refrigerator is a good size. We had lots of bottles of water. We initially shopped at Pueblo which I would not recommend to anyone. We found that Plaza Extra is a much better store overall... Better quality food, better quality everything. The furniture in the condo was comfortable and a/c was welcomed as we aren't used to the heat and humidity. We have a 1 year old and although I wouldn't recommend this place for little ones it worked well for us. My biggest critism is that the beach along in this area has a tremendous amount of sea grass and sea urchins so you really have to watch out if your going to go out in the shallow water. Some of the beaches also have this issue including Cane Bay, so it's not exclusive to this area. The restaurant next to the condo is great. Good drinks and excellent food. It pulls a lot of people who aren't staying around the area so we know the food is good. The pool is next to the restaurant and is one of the more impressive pools I've seen with a nice Hot Tub which was very hot. We always felt like we were in a safe and nice complex. There is a security guard there everyday/night. The grounds are very well kept and well lit up at night. And there was plenty of parking for our rental car. We had a very nice time and hope to spend more time in the USVI in the future."

  • A little piece of paradise

"A friend and I stayed here for nine days in Jan-Feb 2015, and we loved it. We chose Frederksted because snorkeling on the west end of the island isn't impeded by sea grass (which can be a problem elsewhere). And we chose this condo because it's right on the beach...literally steps from some great snorkeling and swimming! Plus it's a small complex, off the beaten path, very quiet and well maintained, with a beautiful pool from which you can watch the fabulous sunsets. But it's also not far from a variety of nice beaches, bars, good food, occasional live music (ie Reggae band), shops, and other small town amenities, as well as a large supermarket within driving distance. You can get by without a car, but we rented a jeep and felt it was worth the expense for shopping and checking out the rest of the island. Ours was a completely positive experience, but here are some things to consider when booking: the condo is on the 3rd floor (so has stairs), there's a spectacular view from the screened in veranda (but the proximity to the crashing surf means it's loud at night), and there's just one AC unit in the bedroom (but with the trade winds, we never actually needed it). Also, when they say "just bring your bikini" they mean it! We way overpacked. The condo has towels, shampoo/conditioner/soap, hair dryer, kitchen stuff, sugar, coffee, seasonings, some beach stuff, and more. No need to dress up, unless you want to. There's a washer/dryer/detergent on site. Bring your own mask and fins for snorkeling, tho. Wear sunscreen and hat! Our favorite day trip was on Captain Lew's catamaran for snorkeling and swimming on Buck Island (east side of the island). Lew and his "first mate" David are funny and laid back...not touristy at all. Lew is actually a musician, a cool cat who lived and recorded in New York years ago, and still plays local venues (currently at Cheeseburgers in Paradise). The snorkeling at Buck Island was good, but we saw essentially the same creatues right in front of our own condo, albeit in lesser numbers. Also, Lew let us shower at the yacht club after, so were desalinated enough to check out C'sted (Christiansed) before heading back to F'sted. Lew recommended lunch at Kim's (he's friends with the family), and it was good, authentic Caribbean food...I got the fresh local grouper. C'sted is more upscale and tourist oriented than F'sted, but both were nice in their own way, and local folks are friendly and helpful if you make the initial effort."

  • Great Ocean Views & Location

"Rented this house for 10 days late last summer and had a wonderful time diving, sightseeing and dining in and out. The views of the ocean and Buck Island are outstanding, and the property is very private-clothing optional, even outside around the pool. Great breeze at night and never turned on the A/C, so don't know if it works. The home is clean, but dated, and the amenities are basic-it's definitely not a luxury rental. The internet didn't work, nor did the really old TV have a cable feed, but stereo worked for music. Many overhead light bulbs burned out. Pool is small but clean & great for a cool down but not lengths. Need a vehicle to shop & get around. Good value for the price and would go back again if the Wifi was fixed"
