"My husband and I had the best 5 days in the cottage to begin our Caribbean vacation. It was truly a stunning place, both inside the cottage and outside. The seclusion made it just the perfect get away for us. We bought groceries and really hardly left the cottage. The ocean views blew us away, the breeze being just the right amount. We were able to experience nature in its true form (while having the comforts of home) from the amazing colors of the sunset and sunrise, the moonlight and one night the milky way! Coming from an urban setting seeing the stars in its full glory was exquisite and memorable. We have already decided this was a place to return to in the future. One thing to note, being so isolated, a 4x4 may be something to consider and be forewarned of the critters from small to big. Our last night there we encountered 2 giant centipedes (around 10 inches) in the bathroom which made our city folk skin cringe more than a bit. Overall, an experience of a lifetime to be in this cottage on this beautiful island."Guest: Jennifer V. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 30, 2014View listing
"Nice location. Great pool. Water side for wet sunning great. But there are no screens on main doors out to deck. Two of the four of us were covered by no see um bites the first night. Bring your own bug repellant and put it on immediatly and you will have a wonderfull time. Georgous view of Grapetree bay from balcony and one bedroom. Pool house very nice for afternoon nap. Well stocked kitchen. Dining table is outside on deck very nice for dining We chose this house for the Isabel Picard wall murals and they are beautiful. Lots of Pelicans fly by close to the house. There were lots of snorkel gear for guests use. I cant imagine not having a wonderful vacation at Pelicans View."Guest: Lisa Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 3, 2014View listing
"We had the most amazing 8 day vacation ever! We couldn't have picked a better house or island to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary! The house is spacious, beautiful & has everything you could need. The views from the house are stunning & Lorraine was absolutely a pleasure to work with. We visited St. Croix 3 years ago on a cruise & we said then we would come back to St. Croix. Of all the islands we have been to there was just something special about St. Croix that we fell in love with. We really enjoyed meeting the locals & learning all about the beautiful island of St. Croix. Cheeseburgers just down the road from the house is great & Brenda there was fabulous! We went there several times & Brenda had to love on us our last night there. We almost cried when we had to tell her goodbye!!:-( Ziggy's just down from the house was nice. Good little bar called Libation Station, good/quick food & nice little convenience store but beware they have a 10.00 min. for cards and we were rudely told that on our 5th trip there and about 200.00 in total purchases later! Spratnets Bar on the West End, nice little beachside dive where Calvin the owner & Rachel the bartender are just fantastic!! Some points of interest we recommend: Point Udall (especially to see the sunrise), Off-roading on the West End (4 wheel drive needed), Cruzan Rum & Captain Morgan Distillery Tours, Rainbow Beach & Rhythms there (best lime n de coconut ever), Ft. Christian Brew Pub & Angry Nate’s on the Boardwalk in Christiansted, Jazz in the Park on the last Friday of the month, definitely find one of the many dirt paths on the side of the road and take it down to your own private beach (all of the beaches in St. Croix are public access), Hike to the Tide Pools (however let me give a disclaimer on this one the hike is about 6 miles round trip and very strenuous through the thickness of the rainforest. We are avid hikers & hike the Smoky Mountains a lot & we both agree it was the most difficult & strenuous hike we have ever done!!), Cramer’s Park just down the road from the house for a nice beachside picnic & to watch the sunset. Of course there were a ton of things we didn’t get to see or do like Buck Island, Sandy Pointe or the Beer Drinking Pigs so we will definitely be back to Villa Leja! We were so sad to leave. I definitely left a piece of my heart on St. Croix & Lorraine truly has a piece of paradise in Villa Leja! One day we hope to be lucky enough to own a piece of paradise on St. Croix!"Guest: Dave Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 8, 2014View listing
"This is not our first time at Hotel on the Cay in St. Croix, but it was the first time we had the pleasure to stay in Larry's condo. It was originally the Harbor Masters Quarters at the entrance to Gallow's Bay. What a view! Larry went out of his way to accommodate us in every way, and his help was pure gold to us. Lots of activities on the island; including horseback riding, tours, drives through the rain forest, and plenty of beautiful beaches and fine restaurants in both Christenstead and Fredrickstead. Hope to visit again soon Larry. Thanks for everything."Guest: Kerry D. Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: May 20, 2014View listing
