  • Amazing Anniversary Trip

"We had the most amazing 8 day vacation ever! We couldn't have picked a better house or island to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary! The house is spacious, beautiful & has everything you could need. The views from the house are stunning & Lorraine was absolutely a pleasure to work with. We visited St. Croix 3 years ago on a cruise & we said then we would come back to St. Croix. Of all the islands we have been to there was just something special about St. Croix that we fell in love with. We really enjoyed meeting the locals & learning all about the beautiful island of St. Croix. Cheeseburgers just down the road from the house is great & Brenda there was fabulous! We went there several times & Brenda had to love on us our last night there. We almost cried when we had to tell her goodbye!!:-( Ziggy's just down from the house was nice. Good little bar called Libation Station, good/quick food & nice little convenience store but beware they have a 10.00 min. for cards and we were rudely told that on our 5th trip there and about 200.00 in total purchases later! Spratnets Bar on the West End, nice little beachside dive where Calvin the owner & Rachel the bartender are just fantastic!! Some points of interest we recommend: Point Udall (especially to see the sunrise), Off-roading on the West End (4 wheel drive needed), Cruzan Rum & Captain Morgan Distillery Tours, Rainbow Beach & Rhythms there (best lime n de coconut ever), Ft. Christian Brew Pub & Angry Nate’s on the Boardwalk in Christiansted, Jazz in the Park on the last Friday of the month, definitely find one of the many dirt paths on the side of the road and take it down to your own private beach (all of the beaches in St. Croix are public access), Hike to the Tide Pools (however let me give a disclaimer on this one the hike is about 6 miles round trip and very strenuous through the thickness of the rainforest. We are avid hikers & hike the Smoky Mountains a lot & we both agree it was the most difficult & strenuous hike we have ever done!!), Cramer’s Park just down the road from the house for a nice beachside picnic & to watch the sunset. Of course there were a ton of things we didn’t get to see or do like Buck Island, Sandy Pointe or the Beer Drinking Pigs so we will definitely be back to Villa Leja! We were so sad to leave. I definitely left a piece of my heart on St. Croix & Lorraine truly has a piece of paradise in Villa Leja! One day we hope to be lucky enough to own a piece of paradise on St. Croix!"

  • Well appointed ON the beach!

"This is a very nice property right on the beach. Located on the bottom level makes you right there on the beach, a prime location for us. The unit is well taken care of, comfortable with a cheery interior, awesome views and well appointed kitchen. There were beach chairs available in the unit as well as other beach and swimming accoutrements helpful to make for a great stay."

  • Love, love, love!

"My husband and I stayed in this unit for a week in February 2014. It would certainly be spacious enough for another couple or kids as we had more than enough room to ourselves. We've stayed in many oceanfront/beachfront type condos and hotels and we've never been as close to the lapping water of the ocean as this. It's quite unbelievable! We enjoyed the gallery (outdoor seating area) the most and spent every morning and evening there. It's very private to other guests both in nearby condos or on the beach. We had the beach and all the beach lounge chairs to ourselves almost every day. It's a very quiet place (which is what we were looking for). We didn't use the pool at all but it looked clean and very quiet as well. The beds were comfortable (and we're furniture people who are picky) as well as the outdoor seating! It was nice to relax at the end of a long day and watch TV with American channels. I had excellent communication with the owner and the caretaker in the island. I recommend renting a car and exploring the island and all the unique restaurants. The condo's location is also very desirable on the island as it's a 4 minute drive to Christiansted shops and boardwalk restaurants and close to a beautiful drive to Cane Bay and their restaurants. It was a centralized place where you could get to many different places from. A grocery store is very close as well. The condo was clean and well cared for and I would definitely return and recommend it!"

  • Sunset over the ocean in your personal Pool Bar, it just doesn't get any better.

"We had an amazing time on St. Croix and the best part was Villa Dawn! The home couldn't be in a better location, it really is 5 minutes to the dive shop and Eat at Cane Bay and 4 Minutes to Off the Wall, both food and fun are within easy walking distance. Kent and Dawn are great to work with and very responsive if any situation arises. The home is well stocked, (I think we added a few items for your next guests), and the view is stunning! Sitting on the bar stools in the pool every evening with your favorite beverage watching the sunset over the bay is a magical time, and having pool-safe drink ware (even martini glasses!) made it easy and carefree. The beds are truly comfortable, and the sound of the ocean waves lull you to sleep each night. Even when it rains, (only for a few minutes), the covered deck is expansive and became our favorite night-time hangout after our daily pool swim. An incredible Weber gas grill is also under the deck, we put it to good use with fresh seafood when we felt like cooking at home. Make sure to try the Duck Chili at Eat at Cane Bay, the Pizza at Off the Wall, and anything on the menu at Rowdy Joe's is incredible. With the great folks at the Cane Bay Dive Shop minutes away just drop off your gear with them and schedule a few dives without the hassle of carrying everything back and forth. Ellen, Graham, and I can't thank you enough for making your home available to us for our vacation, I hope we respected it enough to be allowed back for another stay!"
