"The Annaly Mill offers all you can dream of whether you are a family of 5 as we were (3 boys, 13, 11 and 7 + 2 adults) or a couple looking for a romantic get away. It is rare to find accommodation where you hear only tropical sounds, see no electric wires or hear no traffic. The interior was tasteful reflecting the various eras which the Annaly Mill had undergone and everything was fully functional. Annaly Mill was a perfect base for all excursions on St Croix. We all want to go back."Guest: therese H. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 4, 2014View listing
"This condo is wonderful. Not only is it located, in my opinion, in the ideal location on the island; but, the property is well maintained and spotless. The condo is roomy and the outdoor deck is extremely large with lots of comfy furniture to lounge on while you soak in the magnificent view of the sea and buck island. We were lucky enough to spend all of May 2014 in this condo! We have been to St. Croix 7 times and even stayed for 4 months one time. This is our second stay in this condo and we will never stay anywhere else! Lynda and George were awesome with their communication and continued to check on us once we got on island. The wifi works great and you even get a strong signal from the pool! I can't say enough about the staff -- lovely and welcoming. We cook in a lot and the kitchen has all the amenities you'd have at home -- and then some. The snorkeling on the beach out front is wonderful. Swim past the sea grass a little to the left and you will find a snorkel tire park where you will see lobster, tons of blue and yellow tang, puffer fish, barracudas, spotted and southern stingrays and much more. One swim out to Long Reef (about 1/2 mile) we saw 7 sting rays. The diving on this island is not to be missed -- boat dives with Dive Experience and shore dives at Cane Bay. If you walk to the left on the beach don't be put off by the shells and rocks past the next condo property -- put on reef shoes and in 30 steps you are on lush white sand that is a stretch of about a mile -- and there's a bar at the Palms restaurant. Tavern 1844 downtown has the best burgers! Get out to Annaly Farms for fresh seafood/meat. Also, veggie/fruit market on Sat a.m. at LaReine (intersection of 75/70). Take a trip to Buck Island and stay in 201C at Colony Cove!"Guest: Megan Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 10, 2014View listing
"My family and I traveled to St Croix for a Christmas visit and found Bill's cottage to be the most fabulous place! We absolutely loved it! The first day there my son and 12 year old niece snorkeled in front of the house and discovered a sea horse and two green turtles ready to play with us! Staying at Bill's was such a treat. Everything you need to enjoy the Sun and sand is right there. Snorkel gear, kayaks, beach chairs, a cooler for the day trips, towels and even two palm trees that frame a perfect sunset or rainbow over the Caribbean! The cottage is close enough to walk to downtown Frederiksted it you want to pick up a Geko Tour, rent a Sunbug or visit Pier 69 for a taste of good home cooking. Much of the time we were content to just kick back and relax with something on the grill and a cold beverage as we listened to the surf. I would highly recommend this a the place to stay in St Croix. Thanks for making our first Christmas in the tropics fantastic!"Guest: Niece40 Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: January 1, 2014View listing
"My husband and I spent a week at Blue Horizon in Cotton Valley on St. Croix in May 2014. We picked this house rental out of several for the view and affordable price and were not disappointed! The view was breathtaking and the colors of the water changed every day depending on the time of day and weather. There was a constant breeze so we left the windows open instead of running the AC. We spent a lot of time on the pool deck and in the pool and hammock. We know there were houses close-by but you could not tell due to foliage or they were on other hillsides. The house itself was nice and in great shape. It is not luxurious but the high ceilings and tons of windows to look out at the awesome view made us feel like we were living in luxury! Landscaping all around the house was tropical and very pretty. The owner was very responsive to emails and phone calls asking questions and getting deposits/payments made via Paypal. The very helpful Property Manager, Lou, met us at the airport and we followed him through The Buccaneer Resort and then to the house. The house is not far from The Buccaneer Resort (their Mermaid Beach was our favorite on the island) had the best snorkeling, nicest water, and cleanest beach. As others have mentioned, it is great that there are beach towels, beach chairs, music, movies, and a ton of other things other people have left so look around before going shopping. We thought Food Fair was the best grocery store, but if you need something quick, Ziggy's Island Market is close-by on 82. Ziggy's also sells cooked food and fuel. Downtown was about 15 minutes away and we thought the restaurant You Are Here had excellent pizza and Fort Christan Brew Pub had the best blackened mahi sandwich. I would recommend downloading Navigon before your trip so you can easily get around the island. Staying at this hillside rental was definitely the best choice we could make for a perfect vacation! We look forward to returning there someday."Guest: Carol C. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 22, 2014View listing
