  • Exactly what we needed for vacation

"The one-bedroom was extremely clean, there were plenty of kitchen supplies, it is centrally located on the island, and the patio overlooked the ocean. There is a pool/hot tub - but we were so enamored with exploring the numerous beaches, we never used it! Our favorites on the island included ocean kayaking from the Tamarind Resort (1/2 day rental is $30 for single, $40 for double kayak) - we were able to kayak out to a deserted island and along several remote beaches. We also paddleboarded off of Rainbow Beach and hiked to the tide pools. We really enjoyed going during low season, because we had the majority of the beaches all to ourselves!"

  • Fancy!

"Had a memorable vacation at Larimar and experienced sensory overload! Views are outstanding, open air home is stunning...trying to describe this property leaves me at a loss for words but I'll give it a shot...Michael made the booking process very easy. He is perhaps one of the friendliest and most helpful people I've ever met. We arrived on island 2 days before we were able to get into Larimar. Michael insisted on meeting us at the airport and leading us to the condo where we would stay before "our home" would be available...totally above and beyond the call of duty! We were allowed to arrive at Larimar well before check in which I know was an inconvenience as there was a large group leaving the morning of our arrival. Michael made sure that 2 rooms were ready for us and he was still busy cleaning. We dropped off our things, re-hinged our jaws that had dropped due to our overwhelmingly beautiful new abode and headed out for lunch and groceries. Word of advice: check out cabinets and fridge before shopping...we duplicated spices, condiments, staples and many other items! I love the open, detached kitchen...well stocked and we enjoyed some fine meals at home. Having coffee by the pool each morning and soaking in the mind boggling views is an amazing way to start the day. Michael kept us well informed of local events and things to do. He is so much more than a property manager...he is now a lifelong friend! If you have any doubts about booking this fabulous villa, tell those doubts to "move along" and go experience this soulful paradise...healing, relaxing, energizing, invigorating...whatever you want or need will be right there. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the rainbows that chased us for days...magical! We're already planning a summer trip back! Insanely great time!"

  • Amazing Anniversary Trip

"We had the most amazing 8 day vacation ever! We couldn't have picked a better house or island to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary! The house is spacious, beautiful & has everything you could need. The views from the house are stunning & Lorraine was absolutely a pleasure to work with. We visited St. Croix 3 years ago on a cruise & we said then we would come back to St. Croix. Of all the islands we have been to there was just something special about St. Croix that we fell in love with. We really enjoyed meeting the locals & learning all about the beautiful island of St. Croix. Cheeseburgers just down the road from the house is great & Brenda there was fabulous! We went there several times & Brenda had to love on us our last night there. We almost cried when we had to tell her goodbye!!:-( Ziggy's just down from the house was nice. Good little bar called Libation Station, good/quick food & nice little convenience store but beware they have a 10.00 min. for cards and we were rudely told that on our 5th trip there and about 200.00 in total purchases later! Spratnets Bar on the West End, nice little beachside dive where Calvin the owner & Rachel the bartender are just fantastic!! Some points of interest we recommend: Point Udall (especially to see the sunrise), Off-roading on the West End (4 wheel drive needed), Cruzan Rum & Captain Morgan Distillery Tours, Rainbow Beach & Rhythms there (best lime n de coconut ever), Ft. Christian Brew Pub & Angry Nate’s on the Boardwalk in Christiansted, Jazz in the Park on the last Friday of the month, definitely find one of the many dirt paths on the side of the road and take it down to your own private beach (all of the beaches in St. Croix are public access), Hike to the Tide Pools (however let me give a disclaimer on this one the hike is about 6 miles round trip and very strenuous through the thickness of the rainforest. We are avid hikers & hike the Smoky Mountains a lot & we both agree it was the most difficult & strenuous hike we have ever done!!), Cramer’s Park just down the road from the house for a nice beachside picnic & to watch the sunset. Of course there were a ton of things we didn’t get to see or do like Buck Island, Sandy Pointe or the Beer Drinking Pigs so we will definitely be back to Villa Leja! We were so sad to leave. I definitely left a piece of my heart on St. Croix & Lorraine truly has a piece of paradise in Villa Leja! One day we hope to be lucky enough to own a piece of paradise on St. Croix!"

  • Unparalleled Views and Ocean Breeze

"An amazing home on the cliffs overlooking the ocean with full 180 degree views of the ocean and bay. The cool ocean breeze racing up the side of the cliff is wonderful and keeps you cool even in the hottest parts of the day. We left the doors open in the main house and in each of the bedrooms. If you want, you can even turn on an A/C (individual ones in each room). What a wonderful rental home!!!"
