  • Island Perfection

"Start with an excellent greeting at the airport, add a well decorated and well equipped condo, a comfortable bed and a beautiful sea view and you have perfection. The west end of the island is easy to drive around and a great starting point for exploring the entire island. Good food and fun bars are plentiful in Frederiksted and the surrounding area - breakfast at Polly's is a great way to start the day. The condo has everything that a person could ask for and special touches like coffee to get you started the next morning. The people of St Croix will always have a special place in our heart - as will this condo!"

  • Outstanding family vacation!

"We just returned from what was one of the best family vacations for my husband, teenage son, my sister, and my parents. Larimar is an astounding property. Sitting on top of a hill with a breathtaking view of Cane Bay, the open floor plan of the house creates an atmosphere of being one with the natural beauty surrounding the house. Photographs on the VRBO listing accurately show the property. But what the photographs can’t show are the other elements that make Larimar special. Tropical breezes cooled the open great room all day and evening making it our favorite spot for lounging, eating, reading and just staring at the ever-changing colors of the sea. The view from the balcony off the second floor master bedroom was incredible, especially at night. The pool was refreshing. Humming birds visited the flowering shrubs on the patio daily and we all got a kick out of the little green geckos scampering everywhere. Having the small kitchen across from the main living area was different but made the whole living area feel larger. At times during the day and night, the gentle sound of the surf could be heard. Peace and tranquility are hallmarks of Larimar. The other element not captured by photographs we believe was the most important: Michael, the property manager. Michael’s passion about the island and his exuberance in wanting to share all his knowledge of things to see and do were the sparks that made the vacation truly memorable. Following his suggestions, we saw and experienced things we would not have on our own. He gave us mini-tours on two days and we loved both excursions! Driving through the rain forest, picking fresh mangos, exploring ruins of sugar cane estates, buying beer for pigs, and tasting the special Mamma-wanna drink, enjoying the Sunday-Fun day at Rainbow beach, were just some of the things Michael showed us. His restaurant recommendations were spot-on. The GPS device he provided for our use was invaluable! To cap-off a wonderful week, Michael arranged for Kiki and the Flaming Gypsies (all wonderful, smart ladies) to come to Larimar to perform their fire dances. Fabulous! Snorkeling at Cane Bay and lounging on the beach at Carambola were great. The overall friendliness of the locals put us at ease. There are so many more wonderful things we did not get to do that I foresee another trip back to St. Croix and, hopefully, to Larimar, because with Michael as the concierge, the trip will be outstanding!"

  • A little cottage in a tropical paradise.

"We stayed here for 8 nights and it is quite lovely here! Very lush tropical surroundings, beautiful flowers and a nice breeze. We had everything we needed here, including a blender to make rum smoothies every day (there is a large ice machine, fresh bottled water and washer and dryer in one of the out buildings to use). We enjoyed breakfast one morning out on the back deck listening to the birds. The cottage is extremely clean and welcoming. Plenty of beach towels too, and there is also a large pool with a covered seating area next to it with a water feature closeby that makes a tranquil retreat. We enjoyed playing with the resident dogs. Win is a wealth of information on the island and we appreciated her kindness (including some homemade bush tea). This is a real gem and what a bargain too! We definitely will book a return stay sometime in the future."

USVI/St. Croix Travel Tips

St. Croix Vacation Rentals on an Island of Contrasts

The largest of the United States Virgin Islands, visitors to Caribbean resorts find St. Croix a great location. St. Croix is part of the Antilles chain, separating the Caribbean and Atlantic Oceans. Those choosing St. Croix vacation rentals will find an island of contrasts, with dry cactus areas and lush rain forest. Choose St. Croix villa rentals for great weather all year.

St Croix Vacation Rentals Allow You to Visit Unique Towns with Individual Character

The two main towns, each with its own unique character are Christiansted and Frederiksted. Visitors to St. Croix vacation rentals in Christiansted will be staying in a national historic Site. These St. Croix villa rentals are surrounded by wonderful shops and some of the finest diving spots in the Caribbean. Further north is Frederiksted, near the site where Columbus first landed in 1493. Whichever of these

Caribbean resorts you choose, you will be guaranteed a wonderful vacation.

St. Croix Villa Rentals Offer Undiscovered Charm

Staying in St. Croix vacation rentals, visitors are delighted to find that this island remains largely “undiscovered” by tourism. These Caribbean resorts may be quiet but they are definitely visitor-friendly. The island has some of the best opportunities for eco-tourism in the Caribbean, from exploring the island’s mountains to its coral reefs. Those staying in St. Croix villa rentals can head to the hills on horseback or kayak down the Salt River.

Caribbean Resorts Are a Diver's Delight

One thing that visitors to St. Croix villa rentals won’t be is bored. The island has enough to see and do to keep you coming back year after year. Visitors to Buck Island Reef National Monument will enjoy the fabulous nature trail across the island. Visitors to St. Croix vacation rentals find white, sandy beaches and crystal-clear water, perfect for snorkeling. The diving here is second to none and includes "the wall," a drop-off on the north shore area. The wall runs almost the entire length of the shore and keeps divers occupied for days! No one can be bored in these Caribbean resorts.
