"Our stay at the condo was absolutely fantastic. The unit was exceptional clean with all the necessary amenities. Great central location for taking advantage of all St Croix has to offer. I highly recommend the unit and plan to return next year."Guest: Tim P. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: September 10, 2014View listing
"This is a genuine family home that comfortably accommodated our family for the week of our special event. What a wonderful place to have my daughter's wedding dinner. Brilliant open-design circulated both fresh air and sociable people very well. The kitchen is well equipped; good sized fridge/freezer and plenty of storage for a week’s worth of food. The setting is quiet, with a beach nearby for a daily swim (or two) and the garden had some new local wildlife (a baby bird near the patio wall). The out-door rinse off was a good idea for us with all the time we spent in the salty water, and there is clothes line! This property could not have accommodated our needs any better. It was more than we had expected. We even enjoyed some authentic coconut / lime cocktails with extra thanks to local manager. It is a reasonable drive to area sights, and makes the best possible place to just chill out and relax."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: July 30, 2014View listing
"My parents, sister, brother-in-law, nephew and I stayed at Larimar in the middle of July and had an absolute blast. The home was perfect with plenty of room for us to spread out, and well-appointed. We all loved the open air living areas with the stunning views! The weather at the time was a little hazy but weather will be what weather is! It's too bad that the prior guests were disappointed. Michael HAD informed us a month before our arrival that he was working on a new A/C system but was not sure it would be fully functional for us, and that the cost of electricity is so high on the Island if we used it we may incur an additional fee. Frankly, when you are in the Caribbean, not having A/C is the norm, or at least in my experience (unless you want to stay at a hotel with stale recirculated air), and it will likely be hot & humid. Michael made sure we had everything we needed and/or wanted. We arrived late in the evening so he offered to pick up some groceries to get us through to the next day! And, because we arrived so late, he picked us from the airport and took us back the next day to get our rental car, at his own expense! Michael is an extraordinary property manager, concierge, tour director, and island historian! If not for Michael, we would have had a so-so vacation at STX. He took us to the mango forest, historical plantations, Rainbow Beach to hear one of the island's favorite musician, Kirk Schindler, and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations!!! He also brought entertainment to us one evening (on his birthday) -Kiki and the Flaming Gypsies ---fire dancers---WOW, they were wonderful and such delightful, smart women! The home was lovely and perfect for our vacation in St. Croix; I wouldn't change anything about it or Michael's services. Oh, and the three house cats didn't bother us, in fact, it was most likely the giant frogs making the little messes on the pool deck, not the cats....when you are in the tropics, there will be lizards, frogs, birds and bugs (no snakes on STX); and, you quickly fall in love with all the little critters! I can honestly say Michael is a new friend and I can't wait to see him again at Larimar! Thank you, Michael, for making our vacation one of our best family vacations!!!"Guest: Cathy Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: September 1, 2014View listing
"From the initial contact with the owner, LaVaughn, it was a pleasant experience. She treated me with all the respect and courtesy anyone can ask for. When I arrived, everything was exactly as advertised on the ad. The room was clean, the location is excellent, WiFi, cable, and all the amenities are included as promised. I felt very safe in the area, which is always important and the property is gated! Mostly everything you need is within walking distance, like bars, the boardwalk, some restaurants, etc. HOWEVER, please rent a car as soon as you get to the airport as not all the beaches and activities are in the area, and you may want to go to Frederiksted and the rest of the island's beaches. There's so much to see. Do not miss out on sightseeing as taxis are quite expensive. Another huge tip: when you arrive, make a bee line for the supermarket and get some groceries as eating out is quite expensive. Again, all the kitchen utensils and cookware are included as well. Enjoy your stay!"Guest: Miguel Date of Stay: February 2014 Review Submitted: July 8, 2014View listing
