  • Winter Break

"We spent a relaxing stress free month in St. Croix. The condo was clean, well equipped and in a convenient location to explore the island. You can walk to 2 grocery stores within a mile and Christiansted less than 2 miles. A view of the ocean from the condo with ocean breezes was a nice addition. The bed was very comfortable as were the furnishings. The pool/hot tub and beach chairs were always available and everyone was extremely friendly. The added bonus of having a restaurant on site that was reasonably priced a varied menu was a Big plus!! To top it off, the owner (JUDY) answered all our questions prior to our trip and provided a Renter Information booklet in the condo that included driving/walking directions to attractions and favorite beaches, activities and restaurants to check out."

  • Sunset over the ocean in your personal Pool Bar, it just doesn't get any better.

"We had an amazing time on St. Croix and the best part was Villa Dawn! The home couldn't be in a better location, it really is 5 minutes to the dive shop and Eat at Cane Bay and 4 Minutes to Off the Wall, both food and fun are within easy walking distance. Kent and Dawn are great to work with and very responsive if any situation arises. The home is well stocked, (I think we added a few items for your next guests), and the view is stunning! Sitting on the bar stools in the pool every evening with your favorite beverage watching the sunset over the bay is a magical time, and having pool-safe drink ware (even martini glasses!) made it easy and carefree. The beds are truly comfortable, and the sound of the ocean waves lull you to sleep each night. Even when it rains, (only for a few minutes), the covered deck is expansive and became our favorite night-time hangout after our daily pool swim. An incredible Weber gas grill is also under the deck, we put it to good use with fresh seafood when we felt like cooking at home. Make sure to try the Duck Chili at Eat at Cane Bay, the Pizza at Off the Wall, and anything on the menu at Rowdy Joe's is incredible. With the great folks at the Cane Bay Dive Shop minutes away just drop off your gear with them and schedule a few dives without the hassle of carrying everything back and forth. Ellen, Graham, and I can't thank you enough for making your home available to us for our vacation, I hope we respected it enough to be allowed back for another stay!"

  • So much to do, so little time!

"The home we rented was beautiful, right on the beach. It was perfect, privacy for grandma and grandpa and a separate guest house for the young ones. We were able to snorkel right out the back door. We did a Snorkel/Sail with Captain Heinz on the Teroro II. What an amazing time we had. Also horseback riding at Paul & Jill's stables, through the Rainforest and on the Beach. Hiking at Point Udall. Sunny and 80 degrees everyday. What a perfect vacation!"

  • A little piece of paradise

"A friend and I stayed here for nine days in Jan-Feb 2015, and we loved it. We chose Frederksted because snorkeling on the west end of the island isn't impeded by sea grass (which can be a problem elsewhere). And we chose this condo because it's right on the beach...literally steps from some great snorkeling and swimming! Plus it's a small complex, off the beaten path, very quiet and well maintained, with a beautiful pool from which you can watch the fabulous sunsets. But it's also not far from a variety of nice beaches, bars, good food, occasional live music (ie Reggae band), shops, and other small town amenities, as well as a large supermarket within driving distance. You can get by without a car, but we rented a jeep and felt it was worth the expense for shopping and checking out the rest of the island. Ours was a completely positive experience, but here are some things to consider when booking: the condo is on the 3rd floor (so has stairs), there's a spectacular view from the screened in veranda (but the proximity to the crashing surf means it's loud at night), and there's just one AC unit in the bedroom (but with the trade winds, we never actually needed it). Also, when they say "just bring your bikini" they mean it! We way overpacked. The condo has towels, shampoo/conditioner/soap, hair dryer, kitchen stuff, sugar, coffee, seasonings, some beach stuff, and more. No need to dress up, unless you want to. There's a washer/dryer/detergent on site. Bring your own mask and fins for snorkeling, tho. Wear sunscreen and hat! Our favorite day trip was on Captain Lew's catamaran for snorkeling and swimming on Buck Island (east side of the island). Lew and his "first mate" David are funny and laid back...not touristy at all. Lew is actually a musician, a cool cat who lived and recorded in New York years ago, and still plays local venues (currently at Cheeseburgers in Paradise). The snorkeling at Buck Island was good, but we saw essentially the same creatues right in front of our own condo, albeit in lesser numbers. Also, Lew let us shower at the yacht club after, so were desalinated enough to check out C'sted (Christiansed) before heading back to F'sted. Lew recommended lunch at Kim's (he's friends with the family), and it was good, authentic Caribbean food...I got the fresh local grouper. C'sted is more upscale and tourist oriented than F'sted, but both were nice in their own way, and local folks are friendly and helpful if you make the initial effort."
