"What an extraordinary honeymoon! Jennifer and Craig thought of everything for our stay. If you want a private and romantic time don't overlook this gem! The only thing we'd change is the sofa and tv for those lazy nights. The sofa is tiny as is the tv with not good sound quality. But who really cares when one is in paradise!"

"I have no hesitation to recommend this cottage to anybody reading this review. We had a perfect vacation and all aspects of the experience exceeded my expectations. What you will get is a quaint cottage on a hillside with a spectacular view. The bed was as comfortable as anything offered in the best hotel. The cottage, although compact, is perfect for two people. The chairs on the porch provide a comfortable place to relax as you watch the ferries come and go and the sun setting in the distance. If I were to say anything negative, (to give balance to this "review"), is that the road from town to the cottage does not have a sidewalk or really any room to walk along without worrying about the traffic. But this is hardly the owner's fault. We had a car so it was not a problem for us and when going the quarter mile or so into town we drove and parked at the car rental lot. I have to also mention how Janet met us at the ferry, brought us to the cottage and then took us to the car rental. That was really nice and much appreciated. We had no reason to call Janet during our stay because there was no need. It was comforting, nonetheless to know she or her husband were only minutes away if we needed something. The cottage was clean and organized and well equipped. I did not seem to be able to get comfortable on the wicker couch or chair in the "living room", but that had the benefit of moving me to the best place, the porch. The cottage has air conditioning which might be more efficient if there were glass windows. We used the air conditioner briefly to cool the place off as we had just ice and snow. Coming from the Midwest, I could not really quite understand the Caribbean Island design of louvers and shutters. (But then again if I lived where it never got cold or snowed I might forego glass windows too). Each window, had a good screen and either wood or metal louvers or shutters. What more do you need! All in all, this little architectural detail added to the exquisite charm of this place. If you want my opinion, you will get everything you see in the pictures or read in the description and more. As for my recommendation, (other than to rent this place), I think to fully explore the island you need a car. My only concession in the overall experience was to drink Coors Light at the local bar on the main street nearby and only because the one dollar price was cheaper than a bottle of water - the two being nearly equivalent in taste. Thank you Janet."

"My husband, two sons and I recently spent a wonderful week in St. John. Moonswept Villa is a truly beautiful home with amazing views. We kept asking ourselves how we could be so lucky to have found such a wonderful vacation rental. First, the home is immaculate inside and out. From the moment you arrive you can tell a great deal of effort goes into maintaining this home. The main living area allows you to see the amazing view no matter where you sit, and it never got old. We ate dinner at the villa every night because we could not resist the view. We spent early mornings on the patio, took in the beaches during the day, and returned to the villa later in the afternoon to enjoy the pool, hot tub and the view. We did not use the a/c in the bedrooms at all. The cool breezes kept us comfortable all week. The house has everything you need including beach chairs, coolers, plenty of beach towels, basic soaps, etc. The ride up and down Calabash Boom was an adventure every day but you get used to it quickly. You definitely need 4WD. We have rented many lovely homes in multiple locations over the years and Moonswept is among the best. The owners have thought of everything. The rental process is handled with utmost professionalism. Dave was helpful in getting us settled, and he was available but never intrusive. Thank you Terre and Gary for sharing this special place with us."

"This was our family's first visit to St. John and we were thrilled with this unit and Tom's suggestions. The unit is extremely well appointed. We rented a vehicle the entire trip and went to a number of beaches. Little things in the condo, like having nice beach chairs, coolers, noodles, and BEACH TOWELS make a nice vacation even better. The mattresses are excellent and I know that might sound silly to highlight, but we have had too many vacations with average or below average sleeping. Our two teenagers enjoyed the space in the second bedroom and having the wifi. Being able to walk a few minutes to get a drink, dessert, shopping in Cruz Bay without getting in the car was tremendous. Being close by with fantastic views, a dedicated parking space and great amenities would definitely bring us back to this specific property. Also since it was our first visit to St. John, Tom provided specifics on restaurants, beaches, etc. Having a concierge check us in was helpful as Rachelle gave us additional info immediately upon arrival. We also used her help via text when we were away from the condo and wanted a phone number for a pharmacy. When you are new to an area, it is great to have a local connection that can help you, even unexpectedly. We took a full day trip through Cruz Bay Watersports at the Westin to head to the Baths at BVI, snorkel, nice lunch, I would highly recommend. I would also recommend Maho Beach - turtles and stingrays were there every day. If you snorkel along the right hand side of the cove near the rocks, you can snorkel around to Little Maho. Saw tons of fish and even a nurse shark that we are told regularly hangs out there. We would also recommend Beach Bum for snorkel needs. They are upstairs above the shops right at the ferry at Cruz Bay, they were very helpful. Thanks again Tom for your help and the great unit, made this a fantastic first trip to St. Johns."
