"Ours was a couples stay and it was perfect for us. We loved how homey it felt and everything we needed was right there. There is no air conditioning and it did get a little hot during the day if the ocean breeze was still but the nights were just fine, especially if we had the 2 fans going in the bedroom. We loved the outdoor shower and the lovely deck for happy hour at night. Barry, the owner, was there and he was great and couldn't be kinder. We had a few mishaps and he was gracious about it (got us extra towels after a friend ruined the beach towels he had given us, etc.). Overall, the feel was homey, private and comfortable. A great place to return after a long day of activity."

"We loved this villa from the moment we pulled through the gate and saw the gorgeous flowers and fountain. The villa is high on a mountainside with beautiful views of Cruz Bay below. It is beautifully furnished both inside and out. We enjoyed the outdoor living spaces as much as the indoor! We found it very clean and well-maintained, and although we encountered no problems, we were content knowing that there was a very capable property manager a phone call away. In fact, she met our group at the ferry and acquainted us with the property and the island.
The three master suites are very comfortable with their own attached bathrooms -- one has its own balcony as well. The fourth bed is a pull-out couch located on a loft (with its own bathroom) up a very steep spiral staircase. While it doesn't afford much privacy, we found the mattress on the pull out couch to be very comfortable. It would be difficult for young children or the elderly to navigate the steps to the fourth sleeping area. However, the plus side to this "bedroom" is that it has an incredible balcony with sweeping views of Cruz Bay!
The villa is furnished with so many amenities including beach bags, beach towels, and beach chairs. There is also a great selection of books, movies, and games. The community pool and clubhouse is located a decent walk from the villa, but is a very nice area. Because this villa is so high up on a mountain, it is not walkable to town or beaches. You will definitely need to rent a vehicle -- preferably a Jeep to navigate the mountainous roads.
You absolutely will not be disappointed with this incredible property. We stayed at the Westin last year, but liked this FAR better!! Thank you for allowing us to rent it and maintaining it so well!"

"This was my 6th trip to St John and Palm Breezes was one of the nicest places I've stayed. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The welcome package was very appreciated, especially after a very long cross country trip with an infant! The ice maker was definitely a plus--no need to go to the store for ice for the cooler every other day! Enjoyed coffee on the balcony every morning, watching the harbor and Cruz Bay wake up--the view is fantastic. Didn't think we'd need a pool with all those world class beaches but it was nice to take a quick dip whenever I wanted to. We happened to be there when Tropical Storm Erica hit and the management company was extremely helpful in making sure we were safe and secure during the worst of it. We rented a jeep for the longer drives to the beaches but walked to dinner and shopping in Cruz Bay. The Condo is very close to everything. Best value I've found."

"Well, it is day one of Skyflower withdrawal and we are doing as good as can be expected for leaving behind paradise for home in the midwest! We are expecting our first baby this year, so our focus for this vacation was the perfect, romantic week to celebrate our last months as a two person family. A lot of research went into finding our paradise, and we cannot believe how beyond expectations this trip was for us.
Pictures and words cannot even begin to express the true beauty of the Skyflower property. It is so much more than what is presented in this listing (everything listed is completely accurate). The minute we exited our jeep and headed down the stairs to Skyflower Suite, we knew we had found something special. No matter where we went on the island, nothing rivaled the view right outside our door from the expansive deck. But the view is not limited to breakfasts with Jan's delicious homemade banana muffins with tea or reading out on the deck - the view can be seen from the living area, kitchen, outdoor shower, and even lying in the comfortable king sized bed. There is nothing like waking up and looking out the door to see a beautiful sunrise over the surrounding islands.
To say Bill and Jan were gracious hosts is an understatement. I am so glad our time in St. John overlapped with the time they spend on the island. Besides being a wealth of knowledge for St. John, they are such genuine and nice people. Our stay would not have been as perfect as it was without their guidance to the best beaches, restaurants, etc., and we thoroughly enjoyed conversations with them on their deck. They hosted a cocktail hour with us before dinner one night, which was great. They even had a small gift for us (the most adorable sea turtle onesie for our future daughter)!
We would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone considering a trip to the Coral Bay side of St. John. For first timers like us, do not let the advice of "there's not as much to do on the Coral Bay side" fool you. We ate at a different restaurant every night, there is a small plaza with shops, restaurants, and a grocery store right at the bottom of the street from the property and many other attractions on the east side of the island are only a 10-15 minute drive. We did not return to the Cruz Bay side until it was (sadly)P time to leave.
Thank you so much Bill and Jan for a wonderful experience! We are truly grateful for everything and hope to see you again in the future!"
