"Just want to start by saying what a place. Wow. We absolutely loved mnc. The villa is definitely private. This was our honeymoon and it was an amazing stay. Five stars means just that. Hate to leave this wonderful place . It was well furnished, comfortable bed, excellent kitchen and so much more. The drive up to mnc is steep but a jeep in 2wd goes up fine. Extremely quiet and private. Monkey no climb is on top of our list of places to stay. Thanks Bart for allowing us to share your villa. Max and shelly"

  • Unforgettable!

"Not much to add from the other reviews other than it's hard to think of a way to improve on this villa. The view is jaw-dropping - high enough to see amazing sunrises over St John east end and Norman Island, close enough to Coral Harbor to see Biff or Jimmy getting ready to sail. And the villa faces directly down the Sir Francis Drake Channel, with Tortola to the left, and Norman, Peter and cays to the right, Virgin Gorda on the horizon. The villa is very comfortable, three comfortable air-conditioned bedrooms, one up and two down, each with private bath, plus fantastic great room, gourmet well-appointed kitchen and deluxe gas grill outside. The two full-length-of-the-house porches are beautifully furnished and each is fully screened in case of bugs, but at 600 feet elevation with constant breeze, there aren't many bugs. We loved the pool deck complete with outdoor shower, 6-person soaking spa and what must be the largest pool on the island. You must have 4-wheel drive and the drive up and down the hill is more exciting than an amusement park ride, but that can be said of most villas on the island. The best part about this perfect villa is that it's on St. John, and I can't imagine a more beautiful tropical island anyplace - we visited and snorkeled 13 separate beaches in 6 days - favorites were Salt Pond, Little Lameshur and Groutpan. We loved the relaxed, laid-back style in Coral Bay, getting to know some of the "colorful" local folks - we much preferred this side to the more uppity Cruz Bay side. Fantastic villa and unforgettable stay at Almost Heaven in America's Paradise."

  • Amazing Getaway

"My husband and I recently stayed at Sea Cottage for our honeymoon. We had never been to St. John before but after spending a week exploring the island, we both agree that we could not have chosen a better spot than Sea Cottage. Jorge was a perfect host - he met us at the dock and gave us all the information we needed for a great stay, led us back to the cottage, and then gave us our privacy for the rest of the week. He was no more than a text message away though, if needed, and was extremely quick to respond to any questions or requests. The cottage itself is simply perfect, so comfortable, peaceful and beautiful - we almost had to force ourselves to leave to go and explore the island! The cottage is the ideal place to relax - we spent a good amount of time lounging there, reading books, enjoying the breeze, napping, watching the birds, sunrises and sunsets. We watched movies at night, cooked dinners and breakfasts, listened to the wonderful iPod playlists provided by Jorge and Monika. The location is also quite ideal for getting to any part of the island - you are 10-15 minutes away from several beaches by car, and the driving is half the fun. Twisty roads, goats, donkeys and lots of other interesting sights. We drove around all week and still spent less than $40 on gas. Great restaurants and shops are easily accessible on both sides of the island. And coming back to Sea Cottage at the end of the day feels like coming home. A warm secluded outdoor shower to wash away the salt and sand from the day, then relaxing out on the deck with a glass of wine. Sheer perfection. Thank you to Jorge and Monika for sharing your amazing Sea Cottage with us. If you are considering staying here - just do it! You will not regret it!"

"The view was outstanding! Pictures don't capture the experience fully. We enjoyed the house and found everything we needed for a wonderful week. We were met and led to the property. Everything was clean and well supplied. The location was great for visiting all parts of the island. Four wheel drive was really good! We hope to return and soak up the view again. Some of our favorites: smoothies from the top of Bordeaux Mountain, Miss Lucy's, and Driftwood Dave's."
