"Our family just returned from our idyllic stay at Blue Agave; the experience exceeded our expectations that were already high before our arrival! The photos -- and even the drone video -- can't capture the real experience of being there! The sweeping views (day and night) are the best that we have had during any Caribbean vacation. We enjoyed having our coffee on the porch every morning while watching the adorable "sugar birds" dart in for a visit, admiring the lush tropical landscaping around the villa, and spying wildlife around us....more birds, deer, iguanas....One morning, we were rewarded with an incredible rainbow after a passing shower. The villa accommodations were just perfect; well-stocked kitchen, all bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, very clean; no worries about who may have to take a "lesser" room -- a common experience for travelers when renting a villa. The private setting also makes you feel like you are on your own estate! The owners took great care in prepping us for the trip to ensure that we arrived with all of the information that we needed to begin what was one of the most memorable vacations that we have had! The location is very convenient to all that you need in Cruz Bay (restaurants, shopping, excursions). Thank you, Debra and Ted, for sharing your amazing home with us! We hope to return one day....Our highest recommendation for other travellers!"

"My husband and I celebrated my 40th birthday in beautiful St. John, USVI for 8 fabulous days. Even though we didn't need three bedrooms, like Mar De Amores has, this was the perfect choice for us. The location of the villa is great; it is convenient to town but far enough away to have your privacy. The view of Chocolate Hole is amazing. When looking for a villa to rent, I was looking for one that had lots of windows/doors that we could open to have the cross breeze and convenient to town and the beaches. Mar De Amores was just that for us. With the June high temperatures of about 85 degrees, we never felt we needed to turn on the air conditioner units; the cross breeze was great. The villa was very comfortable and home like. It had all of the kitchen necessities that we needed and even had beach necessities like beach chairs, beach towels and coolers for your use. We rented a Jeep from Conrad Sutton and were able to use their parking lot when we went downtown so we didn't have to pay to park in town. Claudia was good to answer any questions that we had before we got there and it was comforting to know we could call Myrtle if there were any needs while we were there on island. We would definately rent from Claudia and stay at Mar De Amores again. We are already thinking about when we can go back and take the kids this time. Thank you for sharing your home with us!"

"This was a very nice house to stay in. FYI: this was my 6th trip to St. John and we've stayed in a different place each time. This trip, we stayed with another couple. Our friends stayed in the "better" suite with the double doors to the veranda. Very cute room, and the pictures make it look very lovely. It is, but... the curtains needed to be shut all the time because someone lives downstairs and there was construction happening on the sidewalks around the place. There were people walking around often enough to mandate closed curtains and loss of the sunny room. There were no curtains on the bathroom so my friend had to tape a garbage bag up. (though someone did come and hang some curtains one day when we were out). The other bedroom was okay. Someone else complained that the bathroom needed updating. Either it had been or I thought it was fine. I do understand that updates don't happen in the VI like we are accustomed to in the states because material and labor cost so much there, so maybe I'm just more understanding. That being said, the peeling paint on the jaccuzi deck REALLY does need to be re-done. It's just bad. Also, we were told that the jacuzzi heats on a timer, but it was never (never) warm enough for us to use. The living areas are beautiful. The location is great as it is a very easy and quick drive into town, the roads/driveway is good."

"My husband and I stayed at Poi Pu St. John Villa for one week in late June. This was our first trip to St. John. We were seeking privacy, relaxation, beautiful views and peace and quiet. We were greeted by all of the above and much more. We loved staying in Chocolate Hole outside of Cruz Bay. Poi Pu acted as a perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to get a delicious dinner in a matter of minutes. We woke up each morning and cooked breakfast in the fully loaded kitchen. We enjoyed the beautiful views as we ate on the deck daily. In the evenings, the air conditioned bedroom was a great way to recharge from a day on the nearby beaches. The breeze from being higher in elevation was soothing and we really enjoyed having the relaxation area with the hammock and plunge pool.
The Wi-fi and safe did not work for us which was not a big concern. We didn't watch television or do any work while we were on vacation.
We would definitely stay at Poi Pu again on another trip to St. John."
