This is a great villa for a family with kids
"Our family of 4 has stayed in a number of villas on St. John over the years, but Still Waters is the best yet! Annmarie and Bob live on the island, and you can tell that this villa is maintained by people that want their guests to have a great experience. The design is perfect for a family. The master is spacious and very nice, but there isn't much of a drop off for the second bedroom - it is on the other side of the villa with inside access. The air conditioning worked well throughout the villa and the pool is right outside of the living area, which is nice for parents with kids. The house also has a generator, and Bob was at the house within 5 minutes the day the power went out on our trip. The kitchen is well stocked with nice cookware, above average appliances, etc. This is a well built home with a great design, very attentive owners, a convenient location, privacy, and an attractive price. We may charter a boat next year, but the next time we book a house on St. John, it will be Still Waters. Thank you again Annmarie and Bob!"

Perfect villa for our party of 5 adults and 3 kids
"Wonderful location, home and view. We miss it already! The villa has everything you need for an exjoyable stay including a leave behind closet with beer and liquor (check this before buying your provisions, we left some nice stuff!), snorkel equipment, and sand toys. Eight beach chairs were provided as well as beach towels and bath towels. We had 3 small children with us (ages 5. 6, and 9) and the set up of this house allowed us to have everyone sleep in their bedroom without worrying because 2 bedrooms were under the main roof. We could lock the sliders in the bedrooms up high so the kids could only exit through the living room instead of walking downstairs near the pool. The island was wonderful. Every beach and hike had something different and special. Crandall on St. John did a great job getting our rental cars and groceries. Would recommend without hesitation! Enjoyed the free drink coupons as well :-)"

"My husband and I stayed at Poi Pu St. John Villa for one week in late June. This was our first trip to St. John. We were seeking privacy, relaxation, beautiful views and peace and quiet. We were greeted by all of the above and much more. We loved staying in Chocolate Hole outside of Cruz Bay. Poi Pu acted as a perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to get a delicious dinner in a matter of minutes. We woke up each morning and cooked breakfast in the fully loaded kitchen. We enjoyed the beautiful views as we ate on the deck daily. In the evenings, the air conditioned bedroom was a great way to recharge from a day on the nearby beaches. The breeze from being higher in elevation was soothing and we really enjoyed having the relaxation area with the hammock and plunge pool.
The Wi-fi and safe did not work for us which was not a big concern. We didn't watch television or do any work while we were on vacation.
We would definitely stay at Poi Pu again on another trip to St. John."

"This was a very nice house to stay in. FYI: this was my 6th trip to St. John and we've stayed in a different place each time. This trip, we stayed with another couple. Our friends stayed in the "better" suite with the double doors to the veranda. Very cute room, and the pictures make it look very lovely. It is, but... the curtains needed to be shut all the time because someone lives downstairs and there was construction happening on the sidewalks around the place. There were people walking around often enough to mandate closed curtains and loss of the sunny room. There were no curtains on the bathroom so my friend had to tape a garbage bag up. (though someone did come and hang some curtains one day when we were out). The other bedroom was okay. Someone else complained that the bathroom needed updating. Either it had been or I thought it was fine. I do understand that updates don't happen in the VI like we are accustomed to in the states because material and labor cost so much there, so maybe I'm just more understanding. That being said, the peeling paint on the jaccuzi deck REALLY does need to be re-done. It's just bad. Also, we were told that the jacuzzi heats on a timer, but it was never (never) warm enough for us to use. The living areas are beautiful. The location is great as it is a very easy and quick drive into town, the roads/driveway is good."
