"We really enjoyed our time at this house.
Great property managers
Well stocked with beach items
That drive up to the house gets a little old
No television (only an issue if weather stinks)
Overall we really liked the house. The drive is a bit intimidating the first time, but once you do it once or twice and feel confident your vehicle can make it, it's not too bad. It does get a little old though because it is not a quick drive and is quite rough. You will absolutely need 4WD to make it. The neighbors down the hill could be heard on occasion. Music from Indigo restaurant could be heard Saturday night, but was over by 12am or so. Could have a little better furniture indoors, but the sectional on the deck was great. Access to laundry would be nice, especially for beach towels and bath towels, after a few days, they need washed. Loved all the travel guides/books available, I used them every day.
This is definitely for those that want to be off the beaten path and away from it all. But, Coral Bay has several restaurants only a few minutes away, making it a great location. The property managers Cathy and Clark were great and stopped in to check on us a couple of times."

"We loved our stay at Waterlemon Villa! This was our third trip to St. John, and our first time staying on the beautiful Coral Bay side of the island. The views from the villa are breathtaking, with a constant breeze to keep the porch and house cool and comfortable. The villa is well appointed with comfortable and upscale linens, and every amenity you will need, from beach towels and chairs, to floats for the pool. We did not eat at the villa (other than for breakfast), because the girls in our family love to experience all the local flavors of this special island -- my husband, however, would have loved to stay in and cook in the well-furnished kitchen, while taking in the view. The owner is such a pleasure to work with, and we are now huge Coral Bay fans! As with any villa on St. John with a great view, the climb and descent to the home requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle. This is a sweet and beautiful place to spend a vacation, at a price that is reasonable for such an amazing view in paradise."

"We loved this house! First, I have to mention that Catherine was a pleasure to work with. I was a lillte nervous about sending checks instead of using PayPal or the credit card, but it turned out to be just fine. Catherine was very responsive to all my questions and was always accessible if we needed anything. The house has been just recently remodeled and has a great, new feel. The furnishings are new and high quality. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms had AC, which was great for the hot August nights. The best part for us was the porch! The view is to die for, and, even in the hottest hours, there were cool breezes on the portch. The beaches are within 5-10 min drive. We stocked up with groceries on St. Thomas and used the little grocery shop down in Coral Bay for necessities. It worked out well for us. Beach chairs, beach towels, and mosquito repellent were all provided, which was a nice little touch.
We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this house to others! Thanks, Catherine!"

"Our family really enjoyed staying in this private house at the end, end, end of the road! Everything was clean and maintained well.
I've stayed in places on St. John that had a more commanding view because they were higher up the mountain, but this spot is tranquil and still offered a picturesque place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning on the second-floor deck. That deck is also a nice place to do some stargazing while listening to frogs and other night creatures. There are ruins right in your backyard, if you're willing to climb a bit, but they are totally worth the effort.
This house provided plenty of room for a family of four -- we had the parents upstairs, one kid on the futon in the den and another on the pull-out couch. Having two bathrooms was nice, although note there's only one really useful shower. The outdoor shower provides very little privacy; more appropriate for a romantic getaway than a family vacation! :) The outdoor shower is very handy for just rinsing off after a day of hiking or at the beach if you were to do so while still in a swimsuit.
Very nice kitchen amenities and an outdoor grill helped for some less-expensive meals cooked at home for a couple of nights. Despite very warm and humid weather, we never felt like we needed air conditioning thanks to the ceiling fans and comfortable breezes coming in the open doors and windows. Be prepared for visiting donkeys and, of course, the ever-present roosters make for some early mornings on the island. But then, you might as well get going early anyway since there is so much to do on St. John.
The location was nice and secluded without being too far away from Coral Bay so you have relatively easy access to "town." Once you're stocked up on supplies, the owners provide plenty of coolers, beach towels and other things to help you enjoy your day at the beach or out hiking.
While it's nice to be disconnected, we also appreciated the WiFi that was provided so we could upload and back up the many photos we were taking. All-in-all, a great place to call home for awhile. If we returned as a family again, this would be a place we would check on for availability."
