  • A Wonderful Getaway

"We just returned last night from the beautiful Gin de Mer, and we're homesick for it already. We had an amazing week on St. John, and marveled every day at the panorama we saw when we looked outside--the beautiful water on three sides of the property, the blue skies and white clouds, and one morning we saw a beautiful rainbow over Hansen Bay. At night the star watching is unparalleled; each night we didn't go to bed until we saw at least one shooting star. The island is a nature-lover's paradise and this extremely private and secluded slice of heaven couldn't be more welcoming or comfortable. We especially loved the great snorkeling opportunities as well as the guided nature hikes given by the State Park Service. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who appreciates serenity, wildlife and unspoiled beauty as well as first class accommodations and comfort."

  • If you're coming to St. John, Pebble Cove is the place to stay - such an incredible home!

"As is likely true with others on their first trip to St. John, we found Pebble Cove online and decided it looked like a nice place to stay. We found Pebble Cove to be one of those truly special places; comfortable, incredible view, great amenities, private beach (the best on the island for snorkeling!). This was a trip of a lifetime... Some of our favorite things about Pebble Cove were: 1. Sitting on the deck in the evenings listening to the water, admiring the twinkling lights across the way and reminiscing about our day. Karen was particularly fond of the pearly eyed thrasher who chatted with us in the evenings! 2. Snorkeling off the private beach down below. We found amazing coral and fish. Our favorite sightings were the Nurse Shark, Stink Rays, and Hawksbill Turtles. Though we did snorkel at other places, including Maho Bay which had turtles and stingrays, the very best snorkeling was from the private beach at Pebble Cove! Our very last snorkel, a young turtle found us in the crystal clear, deep water of your bay. He came to see us and then swam and played as we watched. Wow! 3. Sloop Jones down the street. We ended up buying some one-of-a-kind clothing to remind of us of our great trip. 4. Vie's conch fritters, garlic chicken and Johnny Cakes down the road were a big hit. Loved the food and the young lady (Vie's daughter) who helped us. The Johnny Cakes were phenomenal! 5. It was great to have the ice box and chairs and towels for outings to other beaches. Linda and Allen thought of everything! 6. The bananaquits were wonderful. We also enjoyed seeing an American Kestrel fledge. Not sure exactly where their nest was located, but the fledgling was nestled in a crook of the roof line of the upper story of the house. Beautiful birds all! 7. Having the outdoor shower downstairs was perfect for rinsing after snorkeling. Hanging suits and clothes to dry on this lower deck worked great as well. 8. That shower in the second master was amazing. What a great place to get clean and enjoy the views at the same time. 9. The outdoor grill was a big hit. We grilled chicken one night and rib-eye steaks on another and they were perfect and tasty. 10. Having Internet access was a real plus. It is the only technology we used in the home - no need for the television with the incredible beauty with which we were surrounded. Thank you so much, Linda and Allen, for sharing your beautiful home; giving us the chance to enjoy a perfect stay. We ha"

  • Was just what we needed

"This was our 6th trip to St John. We started the trip out staying at a Villa near Cruz Bay and moved to Milk Moon for 4 more days. All I can say is I sure wish all 11 days were at Milk Moon. The home is on the quiet east end of St John .It however was easily accessed, unlike some other homes we have rented. The pool was a perfect temperature and the home was nicely decorated. The caretakers, Catherine and Clark do a wonderful job of keeping Milk Moon spotless. They quickly answered any question that came up. I highly recommend Milk Moon, we will be back. Oh forgot to mention , the view is phenomenal."

  • Amazing Wonderful and Beautiful

"Everything about The Retreat was great, if I were to design a beach house this would be my floor plan! It had great common and private areas. The manager, Dena was warm, funny, helpful, and accommodating in every way! Are there Mosquitos on ST. John? Yes lots of them, it's a tropical island. But our villa was one of the few havens from them. The screens allowed for constant tranquil breezes. A/C was never even a thought. The views are the most amazing I have ever seen (I am a world traveler and lived in Hawaii for years) There a spectacular views around every turn in St. John but the one from every room of this villa are WOW, the reviewer above must be blind because the view of the BVIs is totally outstanding. The driveway is challenging, as are 99% of St. John driveways, but you get the hang of it. The villa is white now not green like the photos. This villa allowed for maximum privacy, you haven't lived until you've taken a shower looking out at the Caribbean Sea. The beds are incredibly comfortable. I'd go back just for that! We fully plan to return again and again."
