  • The best way to celebrate 10 years of wedding bliss

"My husband and I stayed at the Balance Villa 8/16-8/21. We cannot begin to express what a glorious time we had. First of all, we arrived at Cruz Bay via ferry where we were greeted by Marilyn from Cimarron mgnt company. She was very friendly and informative. We followed her in our rented jeep through the steep and winding roads of St. John to the Balance Villa located in Fish Bay. The drive was not bad maybe only 10-15 minutes from Cruz Bay. I was on Island time so I did not pay attention. Once we arrived at the Villa we were in awe. The villa is more beautiful in person! It was so clean, and had everything we needed to make our vacation a pleasant one. We stayed in the upstairs master bedroom since it had the better view of Fish Bay. The location of the villa was so quiet, you could hear the waves breaking off in the distance by Ditleff Point. Husband and I slept like babies. Also, having a/c in the bedrooms was a plus. We kept the windows and screened doors open in the living area, making the room temperature pleasant due to no a/c. The tropical landscaping around the villa was beautiful and it sure gave you a sense of privacy. Iguanas, lizards, geckos, hummingbirds, and even a tarantula all made their presence known. Another highlight of the villa were the outdoor showers. Exhilarating! This marked our 3rd trip to the island of St. John and first time staying in a private villa. On this trip we were able to explore and relax on 8 different beaches (Trunk, Hawksnest, Solomon, Francis, Maho, Leinster, Great Lameshur, and Denis). Francis Bay is our new favorite! Balance villa provided beach chairs and coolers which was just perfect! We indulged in great food from restaurants such as Cruz Bay Landing, The Beach Bar, Jake's (the best breakfast in our opinion), Sam & Jack's Deli, Aqua Bistro (Coral Bay area), Driftwood David's. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary dinner at ZoZo's at the Caneel Bay Resort. Highly recommend! In conclusion, I want to thank Marc & Anne for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home. This trip was truly one of the best my husband and I have ever had. We could not have asked for a more perfect one. We hope to visit St. John again in the near future."

  • A Return to Paradise

"FINALLY !!!! After 6 long years with our noses to the grindstone the entire time, we were able to get back to Sundancer for 2 full weeks !!! This was our second trip to St. John, and Sundancer. As we did before, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The kitchen looks great re-done, and the place just never disappoints. I became quickly re-acquainted with the Thrushies, who ate Froot Loops right off the table as we sat eating our own breakfast. I cleaned the feeder and changed the nectar for the hummers, and was very much rewarded, with some SPECTACULAR photos of them feeding off their new nectar. They fight like crazy with the Bananaquits, who THINK the feeder belongs to them ! I loved the downstairs outdoor shower. The new laundry equipment is a nice addition, and Carol's new tile / stone work is just so, so nice. As we did before, we'd come home from snorkeling, "hose off", and right into the pool. My evening's were spent in the hot tub, with my stargazing ap on my phone, and Kenny Chesney wafting through the night air. We had a fabulous 2 week stay, our best vacation ever. In fact we loved it so much, we're already booked in Sundancer for next year !! Thank you Cimmaron as always, for your great service. Thanks Bob and Carol Ann for having us, and Sherri for your assistance in getting us booked in, as always. Most Sincerely, Tom & Cindy Ford Lititz, PA"

  • Breath taking views, amazing breeze, luxurious and comfortable!

"Our stay at Palm Villa on St. John was everything we hoped for. The well-appointed villa provided ample space for our family of 5. We never tired of the magnificent 180 degree view of the ocean, and the strong trade winds kept us sufficiently cool and refreshed on the veranda. Each of the three bedrooms and baths were equipped with air conditioning as well as ceiling fans, so sleeping was comfortable. The full kitchen, complete with microwave and dishwasher enabled us to prepare meals in the villa and enjoy them while marveling at the beautiful view from the veranda. Mosquitoes, at sunset, were easily kept at bay with repellent, and were certainly no worse than elsewhere on the island. The owner of the villa was very friendly, accommodating, and responsive to our requests and questions. The binder inside the villa included many well-thought out tips about what to see and do on the island. We enjoyed the company of Shamos, the owner's cute dog, who always seemed to know when breakfast or dinner was served! The drive up to the villa was a bit unnerving, but after a few times, it became less harrowing, and the privacy and views at the top certainly made it a worthwhile journey. We would highly recommend Palm Villa and were very impressed and pleased with the quality, beauty, and amenities it offered. We hope to return in the future."

  • Wonderful family vacation

"Our family of eleven had a terrific time here over Thanksgiving! Great views, quiet, peaceful surroundings and comfortable accomodations. The main level had a wonderful, well equiped kitchen and living/dinning space and huge outside deck for the whole family to gather. Our grandchildren lived in the pool and hot tub when we were not at the beach! There are outside stairs to get from one level to another which would probably be a challenge for disabled and elderly. The house Managers were extremely helpful and ready to assist us at a momment's notice! We rented jeeps for the week to visit all the local beaches and for trips to town, etc. It is isolated enough that one's own transportation is a must. No taxi's to Fish Bay!"
