  • Amazing Views... Romantic honeymoon destination

"The views afforded from this incredibly private villa over looking Fish Bay were amazing at all times.... Words here or even beautiful pictures really cannot do justice to how stunning the ocean vista and surrounding landscape was. Our host was very hospitable in every way... From booking the villa, to greeting us at Cruz Bay, to ensuring we got accustomed to island life and to spending time with us just to say 'hello' and to make sure we did not need anything. Our two week Honeymoon stay there was a wonderful and unforgettable experience, that will be fondly remembered! Great destination! Super host!"

"This was our first trip to the Virgin Islands. We chose St. John and Waterlemon Villa! When we arrived at Waterlemon Villa, we were all blown away by the view; it was exactly what the pictures show. It didn't matter where you stood or where you sat, there was always a phenomenal view. The villa itself was beautiful! It had a very fresh and Caribbean feel to it - exactly what you would expect to find. The colors of blue that are used to accessorize the villa blend into the colors of the sky and the water. The kitchen was well furnished - we love to cook and were very pleased with all the cooking utensils and cookware. There was also a grill that we used - with a great view of course. The bedrooms were beautifully furnished, and bathrooms had hair dryers, plush towels, and the outdoor showers were amazing! The pool and pool area were also beautiful - again the view while in the pool was amazing! The drive up and down the mountain was always fun and somewhat of an adventure. The owner of the villa is a wonderful individual and great to work with as was the management company. If you are looking for a beautiful view and a beautiful house - this is the place for you! Oh, and the snorkeling.....FABULOUS!"

  • Love Loveview!

"I really loved this place. Bedrooms: It was perfect for two couples as one bedroom (queen) is the separate area shown in the pictures by the pool. I loved it as we could keep our doors open at night and just let the breezes blow in and then wake to the view of the pool & ocean. There were a couple of times we had to shut the doors as either it was just too windy or not enough wind and then a couple of mosquitos, but nothing bad. The other bedroom which is a King (two twins) is basically under the house and also on the pool level. Each bedroom as it's own bathroom with outside shower. The showers are kind of like caves, I would have liked it more open/shorter so I could see the ocean while I was taking a shower, but its completely private and the no mildew since it has stone walls and outside which is ideal. There is a third bathroom (also with shower) on the main level. Deck/View: the view is AMAZING! you will want to sit here every morning and have your tea or coffee and just soak it in. It was extremely windy when we went, but the great thing is there is a little deck in the front of the house that I didn't think we'd ever use, but it was awesome at night to sit out there and look at the stars. Pool: I'm basically rating this house not 5 stars because of the pool. It was not really a pool I'd hang out at. It's rather small, not that clean, and in February was cold. The deck is very nice though and the lounge chairs w/cushions seemed brand new which was nice. Dogs: the neighbor dogs come by and visit which I loved - they were very nice and would just come hang out (although we left the front door open the whole time we were there to get the cross breeze). Just mentioning in case this is an issue for anyone, but you could also just keep the front door shut. Driveway: It was very steep - you do need a 4WD to get there but you'll want a Jeep anyway. It was rather a hassle to get back out of the driveway, limited turn around ability. Location: Salt Pond Bay was one of favorite places and very close, we even went there for a night swim on our last night and it was great! Wifi worked well the whole time -- no problems. We missed it, but Miss Lucy's had a pig roast on full moons so you may want to make reservations for that -- great place on the water and short distance away. If you want a great day trip w/o the crowds look up Sail Long Distance - leaves from Coral Bay and is a great sailboat -- was very fun."

"We visited St. John & stayed at InnStead in January, 2012. The home is lovely ~ with everything you'll need. The best part is the patio. It is awesome in the morning, in the afternoon & evening. We spent every moment out there. It's a quiet spot, away from crowds but very close to town & easy access off Jacob's Ladder. We would recommend InnStead to anyone who wants to visit St John and have a spot away from the crowds with wonderful views of the sea and sounds of the island in a beautiful garden setting. Thank You to Mary (owner) and Viky (property mgr). Our visit to St John was lovely & staying in your home was one of the best parts of the trip."
