"Great cottage for our family of four (two children ages 10 & 12). It is in a peaceful and quiet location. We slept like babies, listening to the sound of waves and nature. The owners supply everything besides food, including sheets, bath towels, beach towels, kitchen supplies. The beds all have soft mattress covers under the sheets. There is a clothes line to hang wet clothes and towels. The caretaker is easily reachable by telephone. The house is not in the middle of the tourist areas, and is a little off the beaten path. However, the island is small enough that it can be crossed in 20 minutes. We spent our days going to different north shore beaches, then happily returned to the cottage. There are very good restaurants nearby, and several food stores. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. In short, we have nothing negative to say and had a fabulous time."

"I have no hesitation to recommend this cottage to anybody reading this review. We had a perfect vacation and all aspects of the experience exceeded my expectations. What you will get is a quaint cottage on a hillside with a spectacular view. The bed was as comfortable as anything offered in the best hotel. The cottage, although compact, is perfect for two people. The chairs on the porch provide a comfortable place to relax as you watch the ferries come and go and the sun setting in the distance. If I were to say anything negative, (to give balance to this "review"), is that the road from town to the cottage does not have a sidewalk or really any room to walk along without worrying about the traffic. But this is hardly the owner's fault. We had a car so it was not a problem for us and when going the quarter mile or so into town we drove and parked at the car rental lot. I have to also mention how Janet met us at the ferry, brought us to the cottage and then took us to the car rental. That was really nice and much appreciated. We had no reason to call Janet during our stay because there was no need. It was comforting, nonetheless to know she or her husband were only minutes away if we needed something. The cottage was clean and organized and well equipped. I did not seem to be able to get comfortable on the wicker couch or chair in the "living room", but that had the benefit of moving me to the best place, the porch. The cottage has air conditioning which might be more efficient if there were glass windows. We used the air conditioner briefly to cool the place off as we had just ice and snow. Coming from the Midwest, I could not really quite understand the Caribbean Island design of louvers and shutters. (But then again if I lived where it never got cold or snowed I might forego glass windows too). Each window, had a good screen and either wood or metal louvers or shutters. What more do you need! All in all, this little architectural detail added to the exquisite charm of this place. If you want my opinion, you will get everything you see in the pictures or read in the description and more. As for my recommendation, (other than to rent this place), I think to fully explore the island you need a car. My only concession in the overall experience was to drink Coors Light at the local bar on the main street nearby and only because the one dollar price was cheaper than a bottle of water - the two being nearly equivalent in taste. Thank you Janet."

"LOVED our stay at this beautiful villa. Sometimes with VRBO homes, the photos outshine the reality…it’s the opposite with this house. Some of its advantages:
➢ The setting. Pure wow.
➢ The bedrooms. Many times with 3 bedroom rentals, one will be great and other 2 are very so-so. But each one of the bedrooms had terrific views, breezes, and their own bathrooms.
➢ The breeze. This was the best. It’s so great to be in a home that can take advantage of natural cool breezes and light. It was perfectly designed for island living.
➢ The town. Coral Bay is a great place.
➢ The caretakers. Buck is a caretaker right out of Central Casting…30 years spent sailing around the world before settling down in Coral Bay. A very helpful fellow.
Several people have remarked on the drive up and I understand where they’re coming from. But my 2 teenagers loved the experience and the drive became part of the adventure.
Highly recommended and we are already dreaming of a 2nd visit."
