"What a wonderful get-a-way spot overlooking beautiful Cruz Bay on St John. The condo is immaculate and the view from the large, wrap-around balcony is just spellbinding. We walked to a different beach-front restaurant each evening for the entire week we were there. Jeep rental was easy and right next door which gave us access to a different secluded St John beach each day.
No question ... we would recommend this property to anyone!"

"We really enjoyed the villa once we got there. I will admit that the drive up was a little daunting and my husband didn't sleep well the first night due to worrying that we wouldn't make it back up the driveway. After the first expedition out, we felt much more at ease. He became a pro at backing into the steep driveway. We LOVED the beauty of the villa. The pool was lovely. We appreciated the beach chairs and the cooler that were available for our use. We just wish we had more time to experience more of St. John."

"The location is close to town and markets. Views incredible. Loved how the villa is laid out. Each bedroom with a private bathroom. Kitchen is very well stocked. Lots of spices, etc. left by other guests so don't buy before you see what's there. Outdoor bar area is great. Loved the extra fridge there as well as the ice maker. Always had ice and plenty of fridge space for drinks between all the fridges. Rooms stocked well with plenty of towels, extra sheets and blankets. Internet and all TV's worked well. Gas grill handy and easy to use. Accommodated large meals well. parking easy for 3 jeeps. Pool nice and refreshing. The only downside is the poor road condition up to the actual house. It's broken pavement, large ruts and not possible for 2 cars to pass at the same time. Someone will have to back up or down around a curve. It was bad enough that the 3 nights we went out, we called cabs rather than drive that at night in the dark. Cimmeron was great to work with. Would stay here again."

"I have no hesitation to recommend this cottage to anybody reading this review. We had a perfect vacation and all aspects of the experience exceeded my expectations. What you will get is a quaint cottage on a hillside with a spectacular view. The bed was as comfortable as anything offered in the best hotel. The cottage, although compact, is perfect for two people. The chairs on the porch provide a comfortable place to relax as you watch the ferries come and go and the sun setting in the distance. If I were to say anything negative, (to give balance to this "review"), is that the road from town to the cottage does not have a sidewalk or really any room to walk along without worrying about the traffic. But this is hardly the owner's fault. We had a car so it was not a problem for us and when going the quarter mile or so into town we drove and parked at the car rental lot. I have to also mention how Janet met us at the ferry, brought us to the cottage and then took us to the car rental. That was really nice and much appreciated. We had no reason to call Janet during our stay because there was no need. It was comforting, nonetheless to know she or her husband were only minutes away if we needed something. The cottage was clean and organized and well equipped. I did not seem to be able to get comfortable on the wicker couch or chair in the "living room", but that had the benefit of moving me to the best place, the porch. The cottage has air conditioning which might be more efficient if there were glass windows. We used the air conditioner briefly to cool the place off as we had just ice and snow. Coming from the Midwest, I could not really quite understand the Caribbean Island design of louvers and shutters. (But then again if I lived where it never got cold or snowed I might forego glass windows too). Each window, had a good screen and either wood or metal louvers or shutters. What more do you need! All in all, this little architectural detail added to the exquisite charm of this place. If you want my opinion, you will get everything you see in the pictures or read in the description and more. As for my recommendation, (other than to rent this place), I think to fully explore the island you need a car. My only concession in the overall experience was to drink Coors Light at the local bar on the main street nearby and only because the one dollar price was cheaper than a bottle of water - the two being nearly equivalent in taste. Thank you Janet."
