"Even better than the pictures!!! The view was amazing!! Early morning coffe on the balcony while watching the sky and water change with the sunrise, was the best!! Everyone in the town was so helpful and so pleasant - I think it would be impossible to be unhappy! Lastly, location was PERFECT! Definitely a 5 star recommendation from us !"

"Our family of 4, including 2 teenagers, loved this home and is already planning to stay here again during our next trip to St. John. The home overlooks Great Cruz Bay and is private, yet not so secluded that you feel isolated. When you enter the front door, you immediately are awed by the pool and luxury furnishings that create comfortable spaces to relax with great views from any location. The king master bedroom includes a sunroom with a daybed and armchair with ottoman, which are perfect for the morning cup of coffee. The outdoor master shower is private, with visiting hummingbirds and iguanas hanging out in the flowering tree overhead. The first queen bedroom is on the opposite side of the house, with the other outdoor shower and another sunroom furnished with comfortable seating to enjoy the views of St. Thomas and Great Cruz Bay. The third bedroom, also a queen suite, is located downstairs and is accessible from a spiral staircase from the back patio or by an outdoor path just by the front door. My 14 year-old daughter loved her "apartment" down there, but it would not be suitable as a bedroom for younger children unless there was an adult with them because it's not accessible from inside the house. This bedroom was also beautifully furnished with a large indoor shower as well as a sitting room with a partial view of the bay.
The back patio with its lounge chairs and hot tub were where we spent most of our evenings. There were times when we could hear the music from the Westin nearby, and we loved it because we could enjoy it but it wasn't so loud as to be annoying. When we wanted our own music, the SONOS system provided access to any kind of music we wanted. This was something we used every day and found to add a nice perk to the home that we hadn't realized we would have.
The indoor pool was amazing. The water was cool, not cold, and felt great after a day of exploring or as a cool-off while cooking dinner in the kitchen a few feet away. It's about 5 1/2 feet deep at it's deepest, so you would need to keep an eye on younger children because it's very enticing!
Each bedroom has AC with a remote control. The great room and kitchen are not air conditioned, but were comfortable as long as you are not cooking. That's when the indoor pool was nice! The ceiling fans and airflow from the screened doors across the front and back of the house kept the temperature very comfortable.
Thank you, Paula and Skip! We hope to be back!"

"Have stayed at Grande Bay many times, in many different units. Grande Bay offer transportation options - parking in the complex or short walk to a taxi in town. Lots of food options within walking distance (variety of restaurants and markets to buy food and cook in the unit). This unit was clean, well furnished, and fully stocked with everything you need to cook. We are huge fans of St. John and all that it offers, staying at Grande Bay allows you a SHORT walk into town and get the true ambience of the island. We highly recommend this unit, the owner has paid attention to all the details to make sure you enjoy your time on the island. I AM NOT THE OWNER, nor paid to write this review, the owner is a true gentleman and a pleasure to do business with, that is why I wrote this review."

"We stayed here for one week in July 2015 and very much enjoyed our visit. The online photos do not do justice to the actual views from the villa, which are quite spectacular.
The property itself was attractively furnished with all the necessities to make for a pleasant stay. There's excellent air conditioning in the bedrooms for use when needed, although elevation seems to keep the villi itself pretty cool even during hot weather. The central rooms do not have air-conditioning but we didn't find it necessary in any event.
There is a large outdoor deck with an outdoor picnic table for dining and a large grill which if necessary could probably be used to grill meat for a small wedding reception. Our kids spent hours in the pool which has lights that can be turned at night for a romantic before-bedtime dip.
The drive up to the villa is certainly a bit hair-raising but I suppose that's the price one must pay for the beautiful views. I don't believe it's possible to rent anything less than the four-wheel-drive in St. John anyway, so there shouldn't really be a problem."
