  • Great family vacation rental

"Villa Colorado was a great rental house! The view from the upper balcony was always gorgeous. Villa Colorado is set up with four separate master suites which worked wonderfully for our family (3 adult children and parent). Everyone had their own space and still had a great area to enjoy together. The house would also work great for several couples traveling together. We cooked at the house most nights but the island resturants were delicious as well. The beaches were AMAZING and only a short drive from the villa. I would recommend getting a good rental car and exploring this beautiful island. Villa Colorado was a perfect home away from home!"

  • Six days spent in paradise!

"Having been to St. Thomas before, we decided after a day trip to stay on St. John as it was just much more low key and laid back. It was a difficult decision as to where we'd stay as there are so many wonderful properties, but after speaking with Heather, I just knew that Water Cliff would be our vacation home. It was comfortable enough for 8 adults and has great A/C in the bedrooms. The location, although gorgeous, was a little difficult for some of the taxi's to get to (as are most villas on St. John), but the proximity to town was very good. One thing that would have been good to know in advance is the trash situation (which we were not told about until we arrived). All the trash must be removed and taken to the dumpster in town before departure. Seeing as we did not have a car the last few days, this was a challenge, but most of the taxi's were accomodating (assumed they understood this was common practice). Also, my husband suggests that they invest in a stop valve for the cistern pump (he's in the pool business and this is a common piece of equipment) so that in the event you lose power, you can still use the water with the pump staying primed. The management company was very attentive and checked on us several times during our visit and everyone LOVED the outdoor showers! All in all, our stay at Water Cliff was a delightful experience and we hope to return soon!"

  • Excellent villa and location

"My husband and I stayed at Tropical Orchid for 7 days in March 2014. The villa is wonderful. Gorgeous views of Great Cruz Bay, Chocolate Hole. We could see St Croix on clear days and the sunrises and sunsets were amazing. The villa had everything needed to make our stay comfortable - full kitchen, a hot tub, nice outdoor porch and off street parking. Short drive to town of Cruz Bay. We felt very safe. I can't say enough good things about St John. The people are friendly and fun and the island is beautiful! Jacqueline was a wonderful host. Can't wait to return."

  • A Family Vacation

"My family stayed at Hale Lani for 9 days in November 2014. It is a beautiful house and we enjoyed our stay very much. Destination St. John addressed any of our needs and Ben, the caretaker, handled any issues. There were 6 adults on our trip and our biggest issue, with regard to the house, would be who would get the lower bedroom. The bedroom is nicely appointed but it is far removed from the main house and whomever stays in it will feel separate from the other guests. The first couple of days on the Island it did rain and there were no umbrellas in the house to walk to and from the lower bedroom and the main living space. Therefore, two of our guests were virtually trapped down there during a downpour. I agree with another guest that the A/C also was not as efficient in that space. Ben said he was going to change it but never did. Lastly, the bed in the master bedroom was a king size due to placing two twin beds together. Which would have been fine but the twin beds were of different heights so that could make it a bit uncomfortable for snuggling. The other master bed was also two twins placed together but the beds were of the exact height causing no snuggling issues. Overall we loved the open air veranda and the pool was wonderful with plenty of lounge chairs to sit on. The gardens were beautiful and well maintained and the view spectacular. If the A/C were replaced in the lower bedroom (which it probably already was) and the bed replaced in the master...throw in an umbrella and we would definitely return for another visit."
