"My husband and I recently stayed at Sun's Kiss for a week. We definitely agree with the other reviews about spectacular views, spacious apartment, great location, etc. In addition the landscape has beautiful tropical plants and flowers along with a water feature on the stone steps from the deck down to where you can park your car. One of my favorite things to do was to walk down to the water feature in the early morning. That is when many birds are coming there for much needed drinks of water. Antillean crested hummingbirds will dart by and sometimes hover close to you. You can get a great close up view and see the brilliant colors in their crests if the lighting is just right. Along with the hummingbirds there are banana-quits and Lesser Antillean bull finches. We were also lucky to have a mating pair of kestrels (sparrow hawks) that would hang out in a nearby tree.
I especially loved the empty coconut shell hanging by our door that would miraculously be filled with flowers every morning. Gary is such a thoughtful host and I also enjoyed
spending time with his mother, Charlette. We look forward to staying there whenever we return to St. John."

"We stayed at Molly's Cottage for a week at the beginning of March. It was clean, cozy, wonderfully decorated and a beautiful view. We had a great week. I was a little worried about not having AC but there was a constant breeze in the cottage and leaving all the doors open was just perfect. As a matter of fact, we needed a blanket at night because it got chilly at night! Natural breeze beats AC any day! I would definitely recommend this cottage and would rent here again."

"We enjoyed our stay in Liz and Russ's home. We had all of the windows open so that the nightly breeze (at times quite gusty!) and nature sounds lulled us to sleep. After a day at the beach snorkeling and swimming, it was just as wonderful to come back to the relaxing Lampshur home. The home is well maintained and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the collection of reggae music and sitting out on the deck, and the hot tub with our morning coffee.
The location was perfect for us. We enjoy the quiet side of the island. The cottage is just down the road from Salt Pond Bay and Little Lampshur bays, two of our favorites. It doesn't take long (20 min tops) to get to the North side bays like Maho and Jumbie. Just watch out for the goats, chickens, and donkeys, and the little dog up the road!
Thank you Liz and Russ for opening up your home to us!"

"We couldn't have picked a better place to stay for our recent St. John visit. If you want to experience the island as you might if you were a local, this is perfect. Walking distance to Dolphin Market (for your various essentials) and all restaurants, bars, and shops in Cruz Bay & Mongoose Junction, it made all our errands & meals very easy and accessible. For excursions around the island, it's also conveniently located right on Centerline Rd., and very close to the N. Shore Rd., so you can get anywhere you need to go easily. The walk up to the villa is a bit steep (but only for a short distance), so if mobility is an issue, this may pose a challenge. The villa is bright, clean, and very comfortable, with just about all the amenitites you need for a visit to the island. As at least one other reviewer noted, on a busy night, you can hear some of the action "downtown," so peak seasons (presumably, like during Carnival?), it may be an issue. We were so well provisioned, that we never needed to engage property management (though I felt like stopping in just to say "hi!"). The only thing that would prevent us from staying here again is that we will take our kids with us on our next visit, so we'd need another BR."
