"Our family of 4, including 2 teenagers, loved this home and is already planning to stay here again during our next trip to St. John. The home overlooks Great Cruz Bay and is private, yet not so secluded that you feel isolated. When you enter the front door, you immediately are awed by the pool and luxury furnishings that create comfortable spaces to relax with great views from any location. The king master bedroom includes a sunroom with a daybed and armchair with ottoman, which are perfect for the morning cup of coffee. The outdoor master shower is private, with visiting hummingbirds and iguanas hanging out in the flowering tree overhead. The first queen bedroom is on the opposite side of the house, with the other outdoor shower and another sunroom furnished with comfortable seating to enjoy the views of St. Thomas and Great Cruz Bay. The third bedroom, also a queen suite, is located downstairs and is accessible from a spiral staircase from the back patio or by an outdoor path just by the front door. My 14 year-old daughter loved her "apartment" down there, but it would not be suitable as a bedroom for younger children unless there was an adult with them because it's not accessible from inside the house. This bedroom was also beautifully furnished with a large indoor shower as well as a sitting room with a partial view of the bay.
The back patio with its lounge chairs and hot tub were where we spent most of our evenings. There were times when we could hear the music from the Westin nearby, and we loved it because we could enjoy it but it wasn't so loud as to be annoying. When we wanted our own music, the SONOS system provided access to any kind of music we wanted. This was something we used every day and found to add a nice perk to the home that we hadn't realized we would have.
The indoor pool was amazing. The water was cool, not cold, and felt great after a day of exploring or as a cool-off while cooking dinner in the kitchen a few feet away. It's about 5 1/2 feet deep at it's deepest, so you would need to keep an eye on younger children because it's very enticing!
Each bedroom has AC with a remote control. The great room and kitchen are not air conditioned, but were comfortable as long as you are not cooking. That's when the indoor pool was nice! The ceiling fans and airflow from the screened doors across the front and back of the house kept the temperature very comfortable.
Thank you, Paula and Skip! We hope to be back!"

"My wife and I stayed at Stone Harbor Cottage for the first week of June to celebrate our 10 year anniversary (we were married on Tortola actually). This was our first time staying on St John and were really attracted to the idea of staying in Coral Bay because of its reputation of being more laid back and less crowded than the west and north side. But we also wanted to be close to the restaurants and market, so this cottage was the perfect place for us to feel secluded and private but also right near the "action" (as other reviewers have mentioned Aqua Bistro and the market are literally steps away). Upon arrival in Cruz Bay via ferry, and picking up our car rental, we met the property manager Mark who escorted us back to the property. Remember "Drink right, drive left". Mark made us feel right at home there and gave us some good info on Coral Bay. The property was really amazing. It was the perfect size for the two of us. We loved opening up the porch doors and letting the cool breezes flow as we had our morning coffee on the deck. We spent a lot of time on that deck, in fact we didn't even sit inside the whole week we were there. The sundeck and pool were a great way to spend time relaxing in our own private getaway. The master bedroom was nice and we didn't mind the entrance to it being downstairs from the main level. We did shower upstairs to take advantage of the larger shower and view of the bay right from the window. The kitchen was perfect for us too. We visited the market several times to stock the fridge for breakfasts, snacks, beverages, and for grilling out on the deck too. Previous guests have left spices and other local non-perishables as well. The cottage had a couple coolers as well, so we'd load those up for our daily excursions around the island. Be sure to visit the east end for great uncrowded snorkeling, Haulover North & South were our favorites on that end. Waterlemon cay was our favorite spot on the north side. And checkout the stone figures at Drunk Bay on the southeast side. We enjoyed grabbing a bite to eat and sipping drinks at Aqua Bistro and Shipwreck Landing. You can hear the live music from Aqua Bistro even after you make your way home. The locals were friendly and we really enjoyed the low key vibe of Coral Bay. We'll definitely be returning to this cottage in the future. And I recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Coral Bay."

"The brutally cold northeast winter wore us down and the stress piled up at work. We arrived for our six-day stay at Cinnamon Bay Daydreams and found serenity in a clean, wonderfully laid out home with breathtaking views, supreme seclusion and unmistakable island character.
The pictures don't do justice to the quality of the wood and masonry construction, large bedrooms and updated bathrooms. It was just two of us on this trip but CBD would have offered plenty of space and privacy for two families or three couples with two separate, equally large master suites and large loft area. The open floor plan allows guests to move freely between the kitchen, living/dining area and the lanai. We especially enjoyed watching the sun rise over Tortola as we started a pot of coffee and cooked breakfast.
We took early morning hikes and full day excursions from CBDs central island location in Catherineberg. It's one of the islands most exclusive neighborhoods due to its location within the National Park boundary. We enjoyed the most restful sleep we could recall as nature played us a symphony of rustling treetops, crickets, tree frogs and other nocturnal creatures.
The world famous north shore beaches are your playground. You can walk down the hill to Cinnamon Bay or hop in the car for a 10 minute ride to Trunk or Maho (our favorite). One of our favorite activities was to put the top down on the Jeep and cruise the island. It's less than 15 minutes to either Coral Bay or Cruz Bay, with miles of hikes in between. The plantation ruins from bygone eras are everywhere and not to be missed.
We always made it back early to enjoy an evening cocktail on the lanai. The twilight view of the BVIs is best accompanied by a Cruzan on the rocks and an old pirate novel.
Not only would we rent this villa again, we would move there if life allowed us. You won't be disappointed.
One note- you cannot fully enjoy this location without renting a car. Soft top Jeeps are only available on STT but the cargo ferry was very easy."

"Spacious! Clean! A/C in main room and both bedrooms (plus ceiling fans). Nice shared balcony. Stove, oven, full fridge, perfect for cooking every meal! New, clean, and comfortable furniture. Marlita is very friendly. Right on the bus line but looooong walk to town so if you don't want to take the bus or hitch, you will need a car. Lovely view! Grill on balcony."
