"My husband, my 7-year-old son and I spent a spectacular week in St. John at Sunrise Villa. We could not have asked for a more lovely getaway. The view is positively breathtaking. The nocturnal jungle sounds, the nightly storms and morning cloud shows, and even the drive up (and down!) the mountain road all made for a fun and beautiful family adventure. Coral Bay is charming and beautiful. The beaches were fabulous. The caretaker was quickly and consistently responsive to our queries. The owner called us mid week to check in and make a beach recommendation. That was a really lovely gesture. We would highly recommend this gorgeous home to those who are in for the challenge of the drive. It is more than worth-it! Another bonus: being so high in elevation, we sustained very few mosquito bites with the constant trade winds. We will return and we would love to stay at Sunrise Villa again when we do!
P.S. SAVE CORAL BAY!!"

"We had a glorious family vacation week on St. John, made all the better by our stay at Villa Beija Flor. The view was amazing! We ( 4 adult couples, one with a 3 year old) were very comfortable in our own rooms with private baths... ( a small folding cot was provided and perfect for the little one). We loved relaxing and having meals on the decks, (and being able to cook them ourselves when we wanted ) and being able to leave the doors open to the breezes. The décor is beautiful and has a definite "island" feel...but we did have to do some simple "childproofing" .....just moving valuable items out of reach of little fingers...and devising a "barrier" between the upper deck and the stairs to the lower deck/pool area...neither of which were real problems. The location was great....far enough away from the noise/commotion of downtown, but not so far away as to prevent us from exploring 6 beautiful beaches! (although driving up and down the hills...especially on the left side of the road took some getting used to). Definitely need your own vehicle to get around...we rented jeeps on St. Thomas and took the car barge with no problem. We had a wonderful time!!!"

"My wife and I just returned home and we can't wait to return. What a lovely property, and Lee the on-site owner is a most gracious and helpful host. We stayed in the 1-BR apartment (Sugar Bird Nest), and it offered everything we needed and more. Previous tenants have left amenities behind like cooking oil and spices, so make sure you do an inventory before you buy. We left unused sunscreen, Meyer's Rum and some other things so it's a nice "use some/leave some" arrangement. Lee has everything for the beach...towels, beach chairs, coolers, and ice-packs. The view overlooking Pillsbury Sound is fantastic and the large, screened-in balcony makes for a comfortable venue to enjoy morning coffee or for outdoor dining. The Jacuzzi's a nice touch and we were able to use it several times and the gas grill was great for grilling fish. You will need a car, but we were able to use a small 2-WD Yaris from Budget rental car at STT, so don't feel like you have to pay double for a 4-WD Jeep. It was especially nice having a washer/dryer at our disposal as well. We'll remember it for next time so we can pack light. Thank you to Lee for offering such a clean and well-maintained home away from home! We will miss you and Gigi until next time."
