  • Perfect Location and Lovely Cottage

"This was our first time on St. John and, obviously, our first time staying at Stone Harbor. Overall, we could not have asked for more. I am dreaming of going back there now as I type this (sigh). The villa was exactly as we had expected. It is not the Ritz Carlton (what is?), but it’s extremely nice for a 1 bedroom (2 if you use the loft upstairs) villa in Coral Bay, which is exactly where we wanted to be. The best feature of this home is its location. It is very close to Aqua Bistro, a very nice restaurant and bar in Coral Bay (literally a 50 yard walk down the short driveway and private street…all lighted and super-close!), and the Dolphin Market, a super-nice grocery that has everything you need food and beverage-wise in Coral Bay – plenty of name brand foods, beers, liquors, wines, etc. We were interested in staying in Coral Bay mostly because we wanted to see the East End of the island and also be in an area that was quiet and scenic. Although ALL of St. John meets this criteria, we were drawn to Coral Bay on the recommendation of some friends. The driveway is a piece of cake although it may look steep. Marc will tell you exactly how to back your jeep up the driveway. Totally easy for any person! The downstairs living quarters is separate from the upstairs, which means you have to exit the downstairs through sliding doors, walk up some steps and enter the upstairs. That said, it’s not a big deal at all. I actually enjoyed the short walk in the morning upstairs to open up the upstairs. Oh how I wish I were there now! In the mornings, I would go up, open both sets of double doors, which literally brings the outside inside and vice-versa. The sun would rise over the distance and it was truly heavenly. It was never “hot” so we just sipped coffee on the patio or at the small table inside and planned our day. It was never noisy, even at night. One of the most relaxing vacations I’ve ever had. The kitchen is well-stocked and has lots of cooking utensils. The coffee pot is fine. We used bottled water just to be on the safe side, but everyone says the water on St. John is fine. There are several hand towels to use. The bathroom upstairs is nice too. There are towels and hand clothes provided. The loft looked fine, but we did not use it. There are lots of DVD movies to watch if you just want to stay in one day. The bed in the main downstairs quarters was great. Overall, this is an excellent villa and we would book again!"

  • Sea Cottage with the Best Views

"My wife and I spent nine nights in the Sea Cottage for our honeymoon. The place is perfect for this. The house is situated in a beautiful location with wonderful views of Coral Bay and Hurricane Hole below you on St. John and the British Virgin Islands of Tortola and even Virgin Gorda on a clear day. The house is kept up very well with many small luxuries like Bluetooth player, travel books, hummingbird feeder, and it is filled local art work. We would sit on the porch each morning in the sun enjoying the Pearly-Eyed Thrashers, Bananaquits and Hummingbirds as our entertainment. Monika and Jorge are very gracious hosts and offered to meet us at the ferry. We had our own Jeep and met Jorge at the turn off to Bordeaux Mountain the first day. He personally showed us the house and amenities. The house is very private and we felt like we were alone the whole time. The plants and animals were wonderful. A shower with the birds singing in the tree next to you is one of my favorite memories. St. John is a lovely place with many beautiful beaches and spots to snorkel. Monika and Jorge shared their experience and recommended great places to go and things to do. I highly recommend this property."

  • Harmony indeed!

"Harmony by the Pool was just what we were looking for! Quiet location, close to Coral Bay, fantastic views of the bay and valley--all provided for a perfect location. The house was roomy and had many comforts of home. Although, I would have been perfectly happy with NO living room as I spent my time on that SPECTACULAR wrap around porch! Loved the eating area and the hammock. Linens in the house were high quality. A great place to spend the week. We will be returning. (I was so waterlogged from snorkeling at each days end that we never got in the pool--but the views from that area were great too!)"

  • Best sunset on the island

"First trip to St John wanted to be close to town but have privacy. This perfectly designed house fit the bill. A very short walk to the middle of town, but far enough outside to be quiet and peaceful. Looks like it's right on a street, but is far enough up the hill to barely notice the few cars we saw while there. Nice to be right across from Gallows Point resort, easy access to excellent restaurant, little shop if you run out of necessities (wine, etc.) and a place to rent snorkeling gear, etc. Nicely, simply appointed. Great kitchen and seating areas in and out. Perfect rental for two couples. Can't wait to go back."
