  • Girls Week in St. John

"Larimar is wonderful. The condo is really lovely inside and has a fabulous balcony. Its perfectly located just up the hill from Cruz Bay and easy walking distance to Solomon and Honeymoon beaches (two of the nicest on the island). The hosts, Steve and Lisa, are wonderful. They are welcoming and helpful and immediately make guests feel at home. We would definitely stay here again."

  • Perfect Location and Lovely Cottage

"This was our first time on St. John and, obviously, our first time staying at Stone Harbor. Overall, we could not have asked for more. I am dreaming of going back there now as I type this (sigh). The villa was exactly as we had expected. It is not the Ritz Carlton (what is?), but it’s extremely nice for a 1 bedroom (2 if you use the loft upstairs) villa in Coral Bay, which is exactly where we wanted to be. The best feature of this home is its location. It is very close to Aqua Bistro, a very nice restaurant and bar in Coral Bay (literally a 50 yard walk down the short driveway and private street…all lighted and super-close!), and the Dolphin Market, a super-nice grocery that has everything you need food and beverage-wise in Coral Bay – plenty of name brand foods, beers, liquors, wines, etc. We were interested in staying in Coral Bay mostly because we wanted to see the East End of the island and also be in an area that was quiet and scenic. Although ALL of St. John meets this criteria, we were drawn to Coral Bay on the recommendation of some friends. The driveway is a piece of cake although it may look steep. Marc will tell you exactly how to back your jeep up the driveway. Totally easy for any person! The downstairs living quarters is separate from the upstairs, which means you have to exit the downstairs through sliding doors, walk up some steps and enter the upstairs. That said, it’s not a big deal at all. I actually enjoyed the short walk in the morning upstairs to open up the upstairs. Oh how I wish I were there now! In the mornings, I would go up, open both sets of double doors, which literally brings the outside inside and vice-versa. The sun would rise over the distance and it was truly heavenly. It was never “hot” so we just sipped coffee on the patio or at the small table inside and planned our day. It was never noisy, even at night. One of the most relaxing vacations I’ve ever had. The kitchen is well-stocked and has lots of cooking utensils. The coffee pot is fine. We used bottled water just to be on the safe side, but everyone says the water on St. John is fine. There are several hand towels to use. The bathroom upstairs is nice too. There are towels and hand clothes provided. The loft looked fine, but we did not use it. There are lots of DVD movies to watch if you just want to stay in one day. The bed in the main downstairs quarters was great. Overall, this is an excellent villa and we would book again!"

  • Slice of Paradise

"My husband and two grown children stayed at Gin-De-Mar in February 2015. It is slice of paradise like no other. We spent the week enjoying the fabulous house, pool and hot tub with views of Hanson Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Our time was spent relaxing at the house, cooking in the fully equipped kitchen then taking our meals in the outdoor covered dining area. When we didn't eat in there several restaurants close by such as the Indigo Grill and Shipwreck. When not at home time was spent visiting the island's attractions especially the many snorkeling areas (which in our opinion can't be beat). We highly recommend Gin-De- Mar."

  • Great place to stay and great hosts

"This was our first trip to the USVI and we wanted to stay on the quiet east side of St. John. We rented both units of Little Lagoon for seven nights and loved it. The accommodations are clean, well furnished and quiet and Ernest and Donna, our hosts, were fantastic. We have stayed at villas and condos through VRBO on some of our other travels and this was by far the best. Having exceptional hosts onsite made for a great stay. The location was great, with everything close by on the east side of the island. Great restaurants nearby but be sure to try some of the roadside shacks like Vie's and the Tourist Trap. Great amenities provided but if you need anything else just mention it to Ernest or Donna and they are sure to help."
