"Annie helped us plan a terrific "babymoon" to St. John. This was our first trip to the Carribean and Annie was tremendously helpful. The cottage is perfect for a couple looking for a quiet getaway to a beautiful and unspoiled island. The cottage is tastefully decorated and comfortable. My wife who was 6 months pregnant did not have any problems navigating the stairs up to the cottage or the ladder to the loft inside.
The local beaches and water are some of the most picturesque we've enjoyed (amongst Hawai'i, Mexico, and Thailand) and the reefs, some of the healthiest (Waterlemon caye is outstanding). We cooked most of our meals in the more than adequate kitchen and small outdoor gas grill. Early mornings on the deck overlooking Coral Bay were a highlight before heading out for snorkeling. We often came back for a leisurely lunch before heading out after the peak afternoon heat.
Could not have asked for more from either the host Annie or her cottage. We look to be able to visit again, soon with baby in tow!"

"We stay on St John at least once a year. We always stay at a villa. We will be back to Villa Equinox. The views from this villa are awesome. The villa is positioned so that it is very private. The villa was very clean and was accessorized with very nearly anything you would need to have a great vacation. Nelson, the owner is one of the most easy going gentleman that I have met on the island. He was very helpful and attentive."

"We are back to reality, but so grateful for such a wonderful stay at Secret Seashell!
The secret seashell is a true treasure on St John and, if we are ever able to return to St John, we will be looking to stay there again. The views from everywhere in the house, pool, patio and beautiful landscape were all amazing! The indoor living areas were very clean and comfortable, giving a true feeling of home.
The only challenge which would be good to plan for in advance is the inability to use a cell phone at the house(no signal for AT&T or Verizon). The house phone did not keep a charge (which may be fixed before long) but the Wi-Fi at the house allowed texting, so we were able to work around this to stay in touch with the rest of our family.
We loved the Secret Seashell, and would highly recommend it!!"

"My husband and I stayed at the Hawks Nest for our honeymoon in September 2015. We were a bit hesitant about traveling in the middle of hurricane season but we could not have picked a better time. Some restaurants/resorts and the campground are closed for the month so I guess it was less crowded than other times of year but we would definitely travel in September again as many days we would have the beaches nearly to ourselves.
We rented a jeep on St. Thomas and took the car ferry over and were glad we did. Although it took some adjusting to navigate the roads and driveway, the car gave us the freedom to explore and drive to the grocery store and restaurants whenever we wanted. We spent a couple of days at the beaches within walking distance but also loved being able to drive along the North Shore road and stop at all of the beaches along the way, all of which had awesome snorkeling.
Although St. John itself is an amazing place, it really was the Hawks Nest that made the trip perfect for us. We wanted to stay away from the traditional all inclusive resort and the Hawks Nest couldn't be farther from that. Its completely private, you can't see another house, and open to nature, the living room/kitchen is completely open (with doors that tuck away behind the main walls) while the bedroom is screened in. Waking up hearing the waves and overlooking Hawksnest Bay is priceless and whenever we get the opportunity to get back to St. John we will definitely be staying at the Hawks Nest again."
