"We highly recommend IDelfini for a relaxing and very quiet and private stay on St. John. We knew most of the great beaches are not right there near fish bay (but great view), so we reserved/rented a jeep (all tolled $593/week) and went to a different beach each day to snorkel or take a hike (reef bay and Ram head) The beauty of St. John is being able to choose a different great beach every day for weeks. Katha and Vezio are awesome hosts and the apartment was very clean, updated and equipped. Vezio picked us up at the passenger dock at 10:30pm when we arrived and still gave us a quick tour. Katha gave us another briefing on things to do and delivered us to the rental car agency the next day. More like friends than landlords. You could hear occasional footsteps from above, but otherwise being under their home was no problem. Other things we liked: use of beach chairs, teak interior doors/trim, Virgin island travel books, lots of fans, big deck with lounge chairs, open, well ventilated space, close parking, water filter jug in fridge, open shower, and as much privacy as we wanted. If you want a beachfront or place right in town, this is not it. If you want to enjoy the serenity of St. John with a beautiful view, island foliage, close access and comfortable privacy, IDelfini is your place."

"This is a great villa and you won't be disappointed if you rent it. My kids (teenagers) and I spent a week here and it was just right. James was very accommodating to our Thursday-Thursday schedule, and also rented us a sturdy 4-wheel drive car at a discounted rate. We took a cab from the airport in St. Thomas to Red Hook, caught the ferry over and James picked us up at the dock. He filled us on some good things to do while taking us straight to the house, only 10 min from the dock. The house has a nice main living area, great AV set-up, a kitchen with everything we needed and a wonderful westward view of Cruz Bay. It was very convenient to the town, as well as to highway 104 which goes right up to the centerline road, so it was quick to get to anywhere on the island. Each bedroom had a bathroom and the four of us were very comfortable. AC was available but with the breeze we never needed it. Many of the other reviews of other properties I read mentioned chickens and donkeys making all sorts of noise early in the morning, but I never heard them here. The only sounds were the occasional dog in the distance or a horn from a truck rounding the nearby bend in the road. The pool and hot tub were terrific, and great to return to after a day at the beach. The house had beach towels, beach chairs, coolers and a basket full of information brochures and magazines. Wi-fi was fast and worked everywhere in the house and around the pool. We typically would start the day with a run down the back roads, checking out the great views, followed by a jump in the pool, and then enjoying a smoothie from the blender as we sat on the porch. We then would set off on the days adventure. Upon return, we would relax in the hot tub before cooking our dinner or going out and then come home to watch some of their supplied movies or on Dish TV. Definitely consider eating in occasionally. There is a market about 5 min away from the property, but be prepared for sticker shock on food items in St. John. Everything except chicken and plantains is 2-3 times what you are probably used to paying, but it's still far cheaper than eating out. If I had to think of a negative on the property it would be that we did get some mosquitos occasionally in the house despite our best efforts, but that was only one 1-2 days when the wind was down. James was very responsive and took us back to the ferry right on time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a relaxing week in St. John."

"The villa, L' Isle Amour was wonderful in every way.
We got into St. John late at night, having stopped in St. Thomas on our way and spending more time than we expected to. The on island manager, Robin had texted us and said she would make sure the key was there and the lights were left on. That came in handy.
We settled in and found everything we needed and felt at home immediately. That first morning waking up to a place we had not yet seen in the daylight was so pleasant. The birds singing, the various islands sounds of nature, the views of the salt pond and St. Thomas were enough to drag us out of bed to start our day.
A short walk into town to provision the place with some food and drink and then off to Honeymoon Bay for a snorkel and swim.
The days went on like this. It is an easy life at Aqua Bay. Swims in the pool, lunch bbq on the deck, hikes, trips to BVI's, happy hours at Woody's, Castaways, Joe's Rum hut, etc. Everything I love about St. John.
I highly recommend Aqua Bay. The management is very responsive and the place is beautiful and oh so convenient to town. Thanks Leslie for a great vacation stay!"
