  • Excellent property, rooms, bathrooms, supplies and views

"We had a terrific stay with two couples and 3 kids (all under the age of 4). House was very well laid out with 4 main bedrooms, plethora of bathrooms and a great veranda with pools and incredible views. Comes with all the beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear, and coolers you need. Bring yourselves, food, sunscreen and have a blast. Highly recommend."

  • The perfect home away from home

"This villa has the perfect size, location and amenities for up to two couples or a family with a few children. The two master suites at opposite ends of the house all have direct access to the pool deck, yet provide desired privacy. The view from the pool overlooking Chocolate Hole couldn't have been better. The proximity to the North Shore beaches, restaurants, the ferry dock and grocery and liquor stores was very convenient - far better than when we stayed previously in Coral Bay area. The well provisioned home was clean and well cared for. The management group we booked through (Destination St. John) was very responsive to our questions. Having the entire house air conditioned was a definite plus. Thanks for our wonderful stay in paradise!"

  • Very Nice!!

"We really enjoyed our time at this house. Pros: Secluded Location WiFi Great property managers Great View Well stocked with beach items Cons: That drive up to the house gets a little old No television (only an issue if weather stinks) No laundry Overall we really liked the house. The drive is a bit intimidating the first time, but once you do it once or twice and feel confident your vehicle can make it, it's not too bad. It does get a little old though because it is not a quick drive and is quite rough. You will absolutely need 4WD to make it. The neighbors down the hill could be heard on occasion. Music from Indigo restaurant could be heard Saturday night, but was over by 12am or so. Could have a little better furniture indoors, but the sectional on the deck was great. Access to laundry would be nice, especially for beach towels and bath towels, after a few days, they need washed. Loved all the travel guides/books available, I used them every day. This is definitely for those that want to be off the beaten path and away from it all. But, Coral Bay has several restaurants only a few minutes away, making it a great location. The property managers Cathy and Clark were great and stopped in to check on us a couple of times."

  • Perfect Location and Lovely Cottage

"This was our first time on St. John and, obviously, our first time staying at Stone Harbor. Overall, we could not have asked for more. I am dreaming of going back there now as I type this (sigh). The villa was exactly as we had expected. It is not the Ritz Carlton (what is?), but it’s extremely nice for a 1 bedroom (2 if you use the loft upstairs) villa in Coral Bay, which is exactly where we wanted to be. The best feature of this home is its location. It is very close to Aqua Bistro, a very nice restaurant and bar in Coral Bay (literally a 50 yard walk down the short driveway and private street…all lighted and super-close!), and the Dolphin Market, a super-nice grocery that has everything you need food and beverage-wise in Coral Bay – plenty of name brand foods, beers, liquors, wines, etc. We were interested in staying in Coral Bay mostly because we wanted to see the East End of the island and also be in an area that was quiet and scenic. Although ALL of St. John meets this criteria, we were drawn to Coral Bay on the recommendation of some friends. The driveway is a piece of cake although it may look steep. Marc will tell you exactly how to back your jeep up the driveway. Totally easy for any person! The downstairs living quarters is separate from the upstairs, which means you have to exit the downstairs through sliding doors, walk up some steps and enter the upstairs. That said, it’s not a big deal at all. I actually enjoyed the short walk in the morning upstairs to open up the upstairs. Oh how I wish I were there now! In the mornings, I would go up, open both sets of double doors, which literally brings the outside inside and vice-versa. The sun would rise over the distance and it was truly heavenly. It was never “hot” so we just sipped coffee on the patio or at the small table inside and planned our day. It was never noisy, even at night. One of the most relaxing vacations I’ve ever had. The kitchen is well-stocked and has lots of cooking utensils. The coffee pot is fine. We used bottled water just to be on the safe side, but everyone says the water on St. John is fine. There are several hand towels to use. The bathroom upstairs is nice too. There are towels and hand clothes provided. The loft looked fine, but we did not use it. There are lots of DVD movies to watch if you just want to stay in one day. The bed in the main downstairs quarters was great. Overall, this is an excellent villa and we would book again!"
