"I stayed here with 8 other friends for 4 nights. The accommodations were fantastic. Clean beds and baths. Decor was island shabby chic. You could tell the owner put a lot of time and heart into this place. The views! Words cannot describe the beauty that is Chocolate hole. The house is perched just high enough to get a full view of chocolate hole but just a few steps down to the ocean. The beach is rocky with some sand. You'll find an abundance of whelks and sea urchin. The whelks are edible. In fact they are an island delicacy. Watch out for those sea urchins though. I would absolutely recommend this home to all. If you're blessed enough to make it to St. John. This is the house to stay in."

  • Convenient Location with Spectacular View

"We just came home from a week at Heavenly Villa and I'm ready to return! Booking was easy. I communicated directly with the owner and payment was easily made through PayPal, which I always appreciate because of the buyer protection. The villa sits at the top, and I mean top, of a hill overlooking several bays including Cruz Bay. The views at all times of the day or night are beyond description. The pictures are accurate! The villa itself is simply furnished, but has EVERYTHING you will need, including several beach towels, beach chairs, even snorkel fins. The villa was very clean upon our arrival. The kitchen is fully equipped (including a new dishwasher) but who wants to cook? You are within a short drive to Cruz Bay and there are several restaurants recommended in the owner's guide in the villa. I think we tried them all and were never disappointed. Crandall on St. John handles all the arrangements and I cannot speak more highly of them. They communicated with us and made easy arrangements to meet us at the ferry dock. The Internet was down when we first arrived and I called them. They tracked the problem down to an Internet outage on the entire end of the island, and let us know so we at least knew it wasn't our equipment. We were also there to experience Tropical Storm Bertha and they checked on us both before and after and assisted with moving porch furniture and undoing the storm shutters. They also called to alert us to a temporary power outage prior to the event. If you have a Verizon cell phone, I would suggest leaving it at home and making arrangements to get a pre-paid AT&T phone. Verizon coverage was spotty at best and the roaming charges add up in a hurry. The WiFi was great for data downloads though. One last thing about Crandall...they made arrangements for our Jeep rental with Best Car Rental...we got a great rate and they let you park there in the evenings if you are getting dinner in town...a short walk down the hill. We've been to St. John four times now and we have yet to visit all of the beaches. If you dive, Low Key Watersports is a great operator. Good rental equipment, excellent guided dives in fairly shallow water so you will get lots of bottom time. I would recommend driving to Caneel Bay. They will allow you to park for $20, but if you spend $20 on the property it's waived. Walk to Honeymoon Bay where you can rent beach chairs, etc... Have lunch on the main property if you don't mind paying $30 for a salad:)."

  • Beautiful Villa, Exactly as Expected

"My wife and I stayed 8 days here on our baby moon vacation and found the villa to be a great value. Kitchen is well appointed for cooking meals in, and we made several lizard friends there, just keep it cleaned up or the ants will flock! Washer and dryer were very handy too since we packed light. Access from Centerline road was doable in a Toyota Yaris by just maneuvering around the few high rocks in the access road. We arrived after dark and had no trouble finding it with the clear step by step directions provided. The master bedroom did have a portable air conditioner in it but we found that it had little impact since the windows were only screened. That is the ONLY thing we would have changed, and I'm sure most of the year the temperature is perfect. We just happened to come at the hottest time of year. Even so, the breezes in the open floor plan of the main level were wonderful and kept the afternoon temps comfortable. Wifi worked perfectly for when we needed to look up places to go. Coral Bay in my opinion is the best place to stay if you're planning to spend time exploring the island as you can easily go east, west, or south to most anywhere in <20 minutes. Some rental properties included kayaks and I wish Little Palms had as well but we made due by bringing our inflatable kayak so we could explore and snorkel around Henley Cay, Whistling Cay, Mermaids Chair, and get to the Caneel resort beaches without paying for a rental or admission fees. I'd absolutely recommend the villa to my friends & family!"

  • Caribbean Savvy

"My wife and I just returned from our ? th trip to St. John, began in 1971. Over the years we have stayed at the Eureka property approximately 5 times, most times we book too late. We love the property because of the proximity to town, if you forget something it is not the end of the world AND the location is great for catching a dinner in town without the distance. The property provides an excellent view of Rendezvous Bay, Chocolate Hole with St. Croix in the distance. The house was very clean and well maintained. Louvered windows can be opened to provide cooling breezes and large ceiling fans kept the house cool. The price was very reasonable for a property on St. John. We have traveled the Caribbean extensively, been to most Islands, and St. John is our favorite. Eureka is the perfect spot for all our needs."
