  • Lovely cottage overlooking Coral Bay

"We had a wonderful stay in the Cottage at the "House with Open Arms" in Coral Bay. The cottage is reached by a 0.7 mile bumpy drive (so you will be glad you have a jeep rental) down a gravel road. And it is a HILLSIDE cottage so that you need to be prepared for the equivalent of about 6 floors worth of steps down to the cottage and up to your car each day. But when you settle into your cottage it is a little piece of heaven. One large room plus an indoor-outdoor bathroom and a small kitchen is augmented by a wrap-around porch/deck with sweeping views across Coral Bay and Hurricane Hole. Your hostess, artist Catherine Perry, is terrific and lives above the cottage in a larger house that also contains a second "Villa" rental. She has planted an abundance of screening bushes and your privacy at the cottage is assured. We ate breakfast in the cottage each day and then went out to one or two beaches for the day, eating in Coral Bay (mostly) or Cruz Bay for lunch and shopping for dinner which we then cooked at the cottage on our return, choosing to dine on the deck overlooking the Caribbean each night. There are three very good food stores right in Coral Bay so after an initial shopping trip to larger stores in Cruz, we decided to shop only on the east end. Great fresh fish at Calabash Market, by the way. Very good Internet service (but no Verizon phone service) kept us in touch and we didn't miss TV, thanks to Netflix and Amazon Prime. We highly recommend House with Open Arms and, as others have said, came to welcome the steps up to the car as part of our daily exercise routine that, perhaps, justified all those hours lying on the beach reading. We loved Maho Bay, as it was often less crowded than the beaches further to the west. And, of course, that beach is close to Colombo's...a mandatory daily stop for a smoothie."

  • Private, perfect Perch.

"We enjoyed a wonderful week at the Perch. The accommodations were casual and very comfortable--just what we were looking for. The cottage is very private, with direct access to the stone beach at Kiddel Bay, which has great snorkeling. It is a few minutes' drive to sandy beaches, hiking trails and wonderful restaurants. There is a beautiful view of Kiddel Bay and the Caribbean Sea from every room, a continuous gentle breeze, and brilliant stars at night. We loved the deck from breakfast in the early morning light to stargazing late at night. It exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to return."

  • Loved the accomodations!

"This property was perfect for our family of four. We are an active family and the location was central for all the hiking, snorkeling and sailing that we did. One day we didn't even use the car, we walked to our sailing excursion and walked to dinner that night. Great place to relax after a full day of activities. Loved the sounds of the donkeys braying."

  • Argus

"These condos are part of Palm Terrace Villas. We have stayed in units 4 & 5. They are beautifully appointed. They are extremely clean & the maid service in the middle of the week is great. Amenities such as beach towels, beach chairs & cooler are a definite plus. We have had young grandchildren with us so having a washer & dryer in each unit makes life easier. Each unit has 2 balconies which have outstanding views while relaxing with coffee in the AM or Pain Killers (Soggy Dollar recipe) in the PM. We usually have a car, but have taken taxis to further away locations such as Canille Bay & Trunk Bay. We are looking forward to returning. Also, the price is right."
