  • Wonderful Getaway

"The cottage was as discribed. It's a beautiful, airy little place that sits on a hill. You are afforded amazing views of the natural surroundings from most of the windows. The owners met is on our arrival and showed us around. They are friendly and accomadating. This place comes with everything you need to have a great adventure. It is close to beached and trails and dining is only a short drive away. If you don't want to eat out, it has a kitchen with everything you need for cooking. The cottage is secluded but easy to get to. If you are coming to St John to get away from it all and want the less crowded beaches and restaurants you find in Cruz Bay, this is your place. We would certainly stay here again."

  • Beautiful Villa, Exactly as Expected

"My wife and I stayed 8 days here on our baby moon vacation and found the villa to be a great value. Kitchen is well appointed for cooking meals in, and we made several lizard friends there, just keep it cleaned up or the ants will flock! Washer and dryer were very handy too since we packed light. Access from Centerline road was doable in a Toyota Yaris by just maneuvering around the few high rocks in the access road. We arrived after dark and had no trouble finding it with the clear step by step directions provided. The master bedroom did have a portable air conditioner in it but we found that it had little impact since the windows were only screened. That is the ONLY thing we would have changed, and I'm sure most of the year the temperature is perfect. We just happened to come at the hottest time of year. Even so, the breezes in the open floor plan of the main level were wonderful and kept the afternoon temps comfortable. Wifi worked perfectly for when we needed to look up places to go. Coral Bay in my opinion is the best place to stay if you're planning to spend time exploring the island as you can easily go east, west, or south to most anywhere in <20 minutes. Some rental properties included kayaks and I wish Little Palms had as well but we made due by bringing our inflatable kayak so we could explore and snorkel around Henley Cay, Whistling Cay, Mermaids Chair, and get to the Caneel resort beaches without paying for a rental or admission fees. I'd absolutely recommend the villa to my friends & family!"

  • Couldn't be more relaxing!

"We had a wonderful stay in the cottage! Beautiful weather, breathtaking views and crazy cute birds to enjoy the crashing waves with in the morning. It was so much more than we were expecting. Even the outdoor shower is beautiful and had an awesome view. It was a bit buggy when the wind died down but nothing a little spray wouldn't fix. All the essentials were here for us plus a few extras. Ms. Catherine really provides all the major things you may need, and makes a wonderful dinner for you to enjoy at the Cottage upon arrival. Truly appreciated after a long day of travel. She is such a sweet person, and we couldn't have found a nicer person to stay with. We will be back!"

  • Spectacular!

"This is our second stay at Villa Adeste & we just love it! When we arrived yesterday it felt like we were coming back to our own home away from home. If we could afford a house of our own on St John this would be it. First, the view is absolutely spectacular! The house & the wrap around porches were definitely constructed to maximize the view. Second the house is extremely casual & comfortable with just the perfect amount of elegant touches, like the absolutely huge marble shower in the master bath. The kitchen and inside living area face the gorgeous view so whether inside or outside you can enjoy the panorama. One particular note about renting on St John is that in many cases to get a view like this you have to take a hair raising drive up very hills & driveways that are in a number of cases unpaved. Adeste is on a paved road that is very drivable & once you reach it the driveway itself is flat, definitely something to consider when choosing a rental. The house is two story with a master up & two additional en suite masters down. The first time we came we were with another couple so we stayed up & they stayed down, which offered great privacy as well as similar master suite conveniences. We are by ourselves this time so we've only needed the top floor. It has been very windy on St. John since we got here & it has been delightful to be able to sleep without air conditioning enjoying the sounds of the island & the magnificent breeze. The bed is extremely comfortable & we just love the porch furniture, new since we were last here. We highly recommend St John. It is our favorite beach vacation spot. Villa Adeste is a short drive from the many spectacular beaches here. We'll come back to Adeste again and again. On our last trip to st John we waited too late to book & Adeste was not available. While we rented another nice house a short drive away we really missed being at Adeste. The owners Chris & Charlie are just great to work with. When we contacted them about renting again we felt like they were old friends welcoming us back."
