  • Perfect Vacation

"Seagrape was so much more than we expected. I come to St. John twice a year, and this is by far my favorite place to stay. The management company was very kind and the condo was well equipped and very clean. Loved the location, the breeze was amazing! The property was just perfect for us three girls! My daughter lives on island and provided us with transportation and wonderful adventures. Jost Van Dyke, Willy T's, Salt Pond, Drunk Bay, sailing around and snorkeling Lavongo, Annaberg Sugar Plantation, Coral Bay, are just a few places we visited. I will certainly recommend this property to friends. I will be back again to Seagrape. I recommend Lime Inn and the Banana Deck for a great meal. And of course, you can't go wrong with any choice for Happy Hour! I look forward to another stay at Seagrape with the amazing view!"

  • Unforgettable!

"Not much to add from the other reviews other than it's hard to think of a way to improve on this villa. The view is jaw-dropping - high enough to see amazing sunrises over St John east end and Norman Island, close enough to Coral Harbor to see Biff or Jimmy getting ready to sail. And the villa faces directly down the Sir Francis Drake Channel, with Tortola to the left, and Norman, Peter and cays to the right, Virgin Gorda on the horizon. The villa is very comfortable, three comfortable air-conditioned bedrooms, one up and two down, each with private bath, plus fantastic great room, gourmet well-appointed kitchen and deluxe gas grill outside. The two full-length-of-the-house porches are beautifully furnished and each is fully screened in case of bugs, but at 600 feet elevation with constant breeze, there aren't many bugs. We loved the pool deck complete with outdoor shower, 6-person soaking spa and what must be the largest pool on the island. You must have 4-wheel drive and the drive up and down the hill is more exciting than an amusement park ride, but that can be said of most villas on the island. The best part about this perfect villa is that it's on St. John, and I can't imagine a more beautiful tropical island anyplace - we visited and snorkeled 13 separate beaches in 6 days - favorites were Salt Pond, Little Lameshur and Groutpan. We loved the relaxed, laid-back style in Coral Bay, getting to know some of the "colorful" local folks - we much preferred this side to the more uppity Cruz Bay side. Fantastic villa and unforgettable stay at Almost Heaven in America's Paradise."

  • Our favorite place

"We have been to St. John 20 times and for the last 8 years we have stayed at Haiku. The house is well designed and well maintained. The views are nice, it is private and very well located and convenient to town. It suits us perfectly whether there are just the two of us or we have a houseful of children and grandchildren. The open plan creates a lot of living space. We have booked our next visit."

  • Paradise

"My husband and I recently stayed at Sun's Kiss for a week. We definitely agree with the other reviews about spectacular views, spacious apartment, great location, etc. In addition the landscape has beautiful tropical plants and flowers along with a water feature on the stone steps from the deck down to where you can park your car. One of my favorite things to do was to walk down to the water feature in the early morning. That is when many birds are coming there for much needed drinks of water. Antillean crested hummingbirds will dart by and sometimes hover close to you. You can get a great close up view and see the brilliant colors in their crests if the lighting is just right. Along with the hummingbirds there are banana-quits and Lesser Antillean bull finches. We were also lucky to have a mating pair of kestrels (sparrow hawks) that would hang out in a nearby tree. I especially loved the empty coconut shell hanging by our door that would miraculously be filled with flowers every morning. Gary is such a thoughtful host and I also enjoyed spending time with his mother, Charlette. We look forward to staying there whenever we return to St. John."
