  • Wow! Amazing! Fantastic!

"We spent a fantastic week in Skyflower! Upon arriving on St. John and getting our rental Jeep for the week, we were met by Marc Miller, the property manager, who guided us from Cruz Bay over to Coral Bay and up Bordeaux Mountain to Skyflower. The villa was amazing. The view from 1000 feet up was even better in person. The cool wind/breeze kept us comfortable all of the time. When we would come back to the villa at the end of a fun-filled day on St. John, we would open the doors and windows, and it would be cool in just a few minutes. We never cooked a meal in the villa, but the coffee make worked great each morning, allowing us to enjoy our coffee from the deck, enjoying the wonderful views of St. John's east end, as well as the plethora of BVIs in the distance. The refigerator also kept our drinks and snacks cool. We also enjoyed being able to wash our beach and bath towels as well as our dirty clothes in the great washer and dryer located on the 2nd level. The outdoor shower was great! I really can only say wonderful things about Skyflower. It's obvious that the owners take great pride in this villa. We loved the electronic gate and the level, paved driveway that had plenty of space for multiple vehicles (even though we only had the one Jeep). We loved waking up each morining to watch the sun rise from our bed view. We also loved the hot tub in the evenings/nights to soothe any aches and pains we may have gotten from our active days hiking trails or snorkeling. Of course the week went by way too fast. If and when we ever come back to St. John, we will definitely be staying at Skyflower again."

  • Wonderful Home for our Family Vacation!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 12 day stay at Brisas Del Mar. It was our 3rd stay on St John but our 1st at Brisas Del Mar. Prior to our arrival, the owner was extremely helpful in answering all our questions which was great! Please note the road up to the house has sections that would be extremely difficult without a 4WD vehicle. When we first pulled up to the house we were surprised how close the neighbors were but honestly it didn't end up being a problem. We only saw the neighbor twice the whole time we were there and when we apologized if we were making too much noise she repeatedly told us not to worry about it and encouraged us to make as much noise as we wanted and to enjoy our vacation. This was music to our ears and really helped us enjoy the rest of our trip without constantly worrying our 3 kids were irritating the neighbor while splashing in the pool. She even brought our girls some candy on Halloween. Very sweet lady! Brisas was close enough to a few Coral Bay restaurants and stores for a quick run "down the mountain" to Skinny Legs for dessert (their Key Lime Pie is AMAZING!) or to pick up a missing ingredient from Love City Mini Mart. The views were fantastic off of the deck and especially off of the 2nd floor balcony. We had several incredible sunrises during our stay and loved to sit on the deck sipping our coffee watching the sunrise. The pool was fantastic and was thoroughly enjoyed by our whole party! About 8 days into our trip the pool started getting a little cloudy after a quick text the caretaker Buck came up and cleaned it up. After a few hours it looked brand new again. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed during our stay. Plenty of linens, beach toys and chairs. The kitchen at Brisas was great, lots of pots, pans and other cookware. We cooked most of our meals in so this was a HUGE help! The TV was new and appeared to work great (although it was rarely turned on), also a brand new grill which was perfect for cooking up a dinner without heating up the house anymore. On that note, there is no A/C and for some people that might be a deal breaker, however we didn't find it to be an issue. 2 of the 3 bedrooms have fantastic breezes and the third (the wicker bedroom) was good as long as the sliding door was open to the deck. All in all we had a fantastic stay at Brisas Del Mar and will definitely consider it again should we need a 3 bedroom on our next trip!"

  • Perfection in Paradise

"This is such a special place. The view is simply stunning. Andara is perched on a hill on the eastern end of the island looking over the Sir Francis Drake passage. If you know the area and are curious about the view in the photos, you are looking at the West End (Sopers Hole) of Tortola. Located just above Haulover Bay, you can see the birds diving on fish and the sailboats on tack trying to make Norman Island. The villa itself is beautifully designed. No expense was spared in its construction and the owners have exquisite taste in design and decoration. There are 3 king sized bedroom suites situated away from each other. Three couples could come to Andara and have all the privacy they wanted. The infinity pool is the perfect size. Big enough for to enjoy but not so large that it distracts from the property. We spent most of our time outside in the shade of the gazebo or in the pool. Everything worked flawlessly. The kitchen is well stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils any chef could need. Plenty of space to create wonderful meals. The pantry comes stocked with spices and other non perishables left behind by other guests. Additionally, the owners generously allow you to use their snorkel equipment, coolers and others beach/pool items as you need. That is very rare and much appreciated. The driveway, while steep and initially intimidating, is easily conquered. If you can drive Centerline Road from Cruz Bay to East End without wrecking your jeep you can handle the driveway. We looked at over 30 St Johns properties on VRBO before selecting this one. Even though it was on the higher end of our price range (there was just my wife and I celebrating a special anniversary) we are so glad we chose Andara. I promise you won't be disappointed if you do the same. This is a special place for folks that appreciate the very best. We didn't want to leave the property. You won't want to either..."

  • Caribbean Savvy

"My wife and I just returned from our ? th trip to St. John, began in 1971. Over the years we have stayed at the Eureka property approximately 5 times, most times we book too late. We love the property because of the proximity to town, if you forget something it is not the end of the world AND the location is great for catching a dinner in town without the distance. The property provides an excellent view of Rendezvous Bay, Chocolate Hole with St. Croix in the distance. The house was very clean and well maintained. Louvered windows can be opened to provide cooling breezes and large ceiling fans kept the house cool. The price was very reasonable for a property on St. John. We have traveled the Caribbean extensively, been to most Islands, and St. John is our favorite. Eureka is the perfect spot for all our needs."
