  • Perfect St. John Rental!

"I can't say enough about DCT to adequately describe our stay there. We had a fantastic time using this great villa as our "home base." We loved the location because not only were we within easy driving distance to shops, grocery stores and restaurants, but we were right on a fairly private beach (hard to find in St. John). The management company was very easy to work with and they answered all my questions promptly and thoroughly. They also provided "greeters" to meet us at the ferry dock, with our Jeep rental, to ensure we made it to the house with no problems. They even provided beach chairs and coolers to take with us to the other beaches (no beach umbrella could be found but hopefully next time). The home comes with washer/dryer, full kitchen (one with a beautiful view of the water just outside), in-room safes, outside showers (loved those), a gas grill, pool and hot tub. The only things I would mention is that you take note that all the bedrooms are accessed from the outside (something to consider if you have small children) and the beach is a rock beach not a sandy beach (but was great for snorkeling if you watch out for the sea urchins). All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recomend Dreams Come True to anyone looking for a St. John villa rental, especially if they are looking for one on the water and close to Cruz Bay. The amenities are great, the view is fantastic and the value can't be beat."

  • Excelent!!!

"Excellent location. 1 bedroom is perfect for couples, or couples with kids. Kitchen had everything needed for cooking any type of meal. Grill on the deck was perfect for grilling burgers and pork chops. Great views of St. Thomas and Cruz Bay harbor from the deck. The bed was very comfortable and slept like a rock every night. Jackie was very accommodating to some personal problems that arose prior to our stay. Jackie is excellent to work with. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!"

  • Nice Villa, would be better with some owner upgrades

"We stayed June 8-15, 2014 with a group of 5: a couple, a single dad, and his 18-yr and 15-yr old kids. The property manager did a great job, everything expected of him - no complaints there. The Villa itself is beautiful and for the most part, nicely equipped. Things we loved: Great location, only 5 minutes from a grocery store. The big bay doors and the deck on the upper floor, which let in the breezes. The view from the upper deck was awesome, a full view of Fish Bay. We saw sharks and sea turtles from the deck, as well as iguanas below and in the trees adjacent to the deck. The pool was a great place to float and cool off and have a rum drink - we used it a lot. The bedrooms well-cooled with the individual A/C units, were roomy and the bathrooms were beautiful and well-designed for vacation renters. The supplied beach towels, beach chairs, and coolers were completely adequate for our needs. The supplied washer and dryer worked great and were very handy for allowing us to bring minimal clothing and wash it multiple times while at the Villa. Things we didn't love so much: the entertainment setup in the living room needs a complete upgrade/overhaul. The TV is small and fuzzy, and does not connect to the audio system. The old amplifier, although quality for it's day, does not have a headphone jack input, so there was no way to attach a phone or MP3 player to it. The supplied iPod dock only accepts iPhone4 and older connections. The owner could spend about $2K and get that upgraded to a modern setup and vastly improve the experience. The beds in the lower floor need replacing. They are pushed-together twin beds and they are very poor. One of them slanted to one side. The headboards were not attached and would bang against the wall when you moved in the bed - we just moved them out of the way. The kitchen knives are mostly useless - dull and old. The freezer would not consistently/adequately freeze items. The oven cooked very slowly, and the burners on the top were so weak that we were unable to boil water for pasta. Owner could/should buy new appliances and a good knife set, and it would make the kitchen a lot better. The supplied binoculars were very nice, but small and of weak magnification - a bigger or second set would be helpful. The wi-fi was consistent but slow - maybe spending $100 on a modern router would help. As a summary, we enjoyed our week at Beija Flor, but without the suggested upgrades, we would choose another Villa on a return trip."

  • Absolutely wonderful views & family friendly!!!

"Sometimes you just can't be sure that a vacation rental you reserve on-line is going to be as good as it appears.... Well, Casa Luna exceeded our expectations!!! The photos are spot-on, as are the amenities listed. We just got back from a family vacation, 2 sisters and our families along with our mom, and had the best time. There was so much room for all 10 of us, and the boys (ages 4-15) thoroughly enjoyed the pool and "party" area, although they wished there was more lighting at the pool area for night-time swimming. The house was clean and lacked for nothing; the kitchen was stocked with plenty (even spices) for all of us to eat in - which we did almost each night (we found that the restaurant prices are substantial for a family of 10). And yes, quiet places could be carved out for when it was needed!!! As for our time on the island, we highly recommend Cinnamon Bay and Salt Pond Bay. For the more adventurous, Waterlemon Bay is beautiful & the L'esperance (or Reef Bay) hike is well worth the time (book those early through the National Park). Shipwreck Landing & Skinny Legs are good in Coral Bay, and the Tap Room and High Tide were really good in Cruz Bay. Definitely hit Starfish Market, but Calibash is well stocked and much closer to Casa Luna. Kathy was a tremendous help and Ash answered all of our questions upon our arrival to Casa Luna (we even got a ride to the car rental). There were even treats in the refrigerator just for us! All said, I would highly recommend this property to anyone interested in staying on St. John, whether as a family gathering or several couples traveling together. The views are spectacular and the location is great for visiting each part of the island."
