  • What a great first holiday with the love of my life!

"This isn't my first time to St John….actually, I have been there two other times and continue to come back to this house every time. The pool is beautiful and the view can't be matched. From sunsets to sunrise…actually our favourite thing to do was grill brats or steaks outside in the evening, then sit in the lounge chairs with our favorite beverage watching the shooting starts, satellites, and cloud formations! It's amazing how many famous faces are in the clouds! The house itself is so well equipped and beautiful. Everything was top quality and it looks like it was newly remodelled. We were constantly impressed when we were cooking…we were wondering if we had to get salt/pepper, toilet paper…you know, all of the essentials and when we arrived, we realised they had a lot of items! Including rum and tequila that was left by the prior guests! The washer and dryer were very convenient for us and the AC in the bedrooms came in handy every once in a while. Town is a short drive away and we couldn't pass the opportunity to stop at Margarita Phils for a 30 ounce to go margarita for $15 as it was part of our daily commute to the beach. Life is rough…. The Reef Trail hike to the petroglyphs was a highlight. We parked and walked down which was MUCH easier than the walk back up however, we had Margarita Phil in our minds as we did the 3 miles back up hill! Along the way we spotted deer, mongoose, and as we got closer to the beach (which by the way, was deserted…we had it all to ourselves!) we marvelled at the ground moving which we realized were hundred of various types of crabs! There were so many highlights that we can't mention them all however, our short car ride to Miss Lucy's was well worth it to. Sitting outside in the breeze of the ocean eating a Grouper Reuben sandwich with a Dirty Banana cocktail and the local black and white cat sitting in our laps was memorable. So if you are contemplating St John, I can highly recommend this house and think you won't regret the decision to stay at Kia Ora. We hope to be back…maybe for Thanksgiving!!!!"

  • Everything was perfect

"I was so impressed with our stay at Areca. The view was stunning and we enjoyed every evening out on the veranda overlooking the ocean. Everything that you would expect from a luxury villa was present. Need i say more? Diana was very helpful and responsive. The service was excellent. During our stay, the grill died. The very next day (which was a Sunday), we had a new grill by 1 pm without any requests/compliants on my part. This is St. John. They had to get a grill in St. Thomas, bring it over and put it together and did so by 1 pm. I appreciated the service and felt confident that she would be responsive to any request or emergency. Villa is 10-15 minute ride to Cruz Bay and about 5 minutes from Trunk Bay. Peter Bay beach is very nice and wasnt used much during our stay. I highly recommend this villa"

  • Paradise found

"I stayed here with 8 other friends for 4 nights. The accommodations were fantastic. Clean beds and baths. Decor was island shabby chic. You could tell the owner put a lot of time and heart into this place. The views! Words cannot describe the beauty that is Chocolate hole. The house is perched just high enough to get a full view of chocolate hole but just a few steps down to the ocean. The beach is rocky with some sand. You'll find an abundance of whelks and sea urchin. The whelks are edible. In fact they are an island delicacy. Watch out for those sea urchins though. I would absolutely recommend this home to all. If you're blessed enough to make it to St. John. This is the house to stay in."

  • Spectacular views and lots of room

"This is a beautiful home with lots of room. Plenty of outdoor deck space. Everything was as portrayed on the website. The property was clean and well maintained. The Concordia Cafe is a short walk away and offers good food and entertainment. Walking distance to Salt Pond Bay. We would definitely stay there again."
