  • Wow! Amazing! Fantastic!

"We spent a fantastic week in Skyflower! Upon arriving on St. John and getting our rental Jeep for the week, we were met by Marc Miller, the property manager, who guided us from Cruz Bay over to Coral Bay and up Bordeaux Mountain to Skyflower. The villa was amazing. The view from 1000 feet up was even better in person. The cool wind/breeze kept us comfortable all of the time. When we would come back to the villa at the end of a fun-filled day on St. John, we would open the doors and windows, and it would be cool in just a few minutes. We never cooked a meal in the villa, but the coffee make worked great each morning, allowing us to enjoy our coffee from the deck, enjoying the wonderful views of St. John's east end, as well as the plethora of BVIs in the distance. The refigerator also kept our drinks and snacks cool. We also enjoyed being able to wash our beach and bath towels as well as our dirty clothes in the great washer and dryer located on the 2nd level. The outdoor shower was great! I really can only say wonderful things about Skyflower. It's obvious that the owners take great pride in this villa. We loved the electronic gate and the level, paved driveway that had plenty of space for multiple vehicles (even though we only had the one Jeep). We loved waking up each morining to watch the sun rise from our bed view. We also loved the hot tub in the evenings/nights to soothe any aches and pains we may have gotten from our active days hiking trails or snorkeling. Of course the week went by way too fast. If and when we ever come back to St. John, we will definitely be staying at Skyflower again."

  • Great return stay

"snorkel buddy and I found sand dollar in dec 2013 (see review). just back from return visit and still great condo in super location though hill from town seemed to have been higher! jan was again very easy to deal with an accommodating and continues to make improvements - new ice maker refrig and larger 4 person cooler but we were happy with smaller one. jan has changed to viva for management w/o hitch, though we missed bottle of rum in welcome basket in dec, viva provided nice multipocket beach bags for each bedroom which was a nice useful addition. may not get back in another 6 months but will return. though not the least expensive place we've stayed, out of what has been 17 trips to stj since 2004 & 10 different villas, sand dollar has been "best value"."

  • Amazing views

"I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone with a larger party. Also Seaview Homes and Mark's team did a fantastic job with all of the logistics to get us up to our villa and settled in."

  • A Family Vacation

"My family stayed at Hale Lani for 9 days in November 2014. It is a beautiful house and we enjoyed our stay very much. Destination St. John addressed any of our needs and Ben, the caretaker, handled any issues. There were 6 adults on our trip and our biggest issue, with regard to the house, would be who would get the lower bedroom. The bedroom is nicely appointed but it is far removed from the main house and whomever stays in it will feel separate from the other guests. The first couple of days on the Island it did rain and there were no umbrellas in the house to walk to and from the lower bedroom and the main living space. Therefore, two of our guests were virtually trapped down there during a downpour. I agree with another guest that the A/C also was not as efficient in that space. Ben said he was going to change it but never did. Lastly, the bed in the master bedroom was a king size due to placing two twin beds together. Which would have been fine but the twin beds were of different heights so that could make it a bit uncomfortable for snuggling. The other master bed was also two twins placed together but the beds were of the exact height causing no snuggling issues. Overall we loved the open air veranda and the pool was wonderful with plenty of lounge chairs to sit on. The gardens were beautiful and well maintained and the view spectacular. If the A/C were replaced in the lower bedroom (which it probably already was) and the bed replaced in the master...throw in an umbrella and we would definitely return for another visit."
