  • Best sunset on the island

"First trip to St John wanted to be close to town but have privacy. This perfectly designed house fit the bill. A very short walk to the middle of town, but far enough outside to be quiet and peaceful. Looks like it's right on a street, but is far enough up the hill to barely notice the few cars we saw while there. Nice to be right across from Gallows Point resort, easy access to excellent restaurant, little shop if you run out of necessities (wine, etc.) and a place to rent snorkeling gear, etc. Nicely, simply appointed. Great kitchen and seating areas in and out. Perfect rental for two couples. Can't wait to go back."

  • Fantastic Villa...Great Vacation

"My family of six stayed in the 2BDR townhouse in February 2015. The villa was clean, well-appointed, and in good condition. Harri ensured that we had all that we needed. The kitchen had all of the amenities one would expect in a full kitchen. The villa is on the top of large hill. The Westin provides golf cart rides whenever one calls the front desk, but we chose to walk up and down regularly. The villa has its own pool shared with other villa residents. The larger, main pool is beautiful, but we spent more time at the villa pool given the proximity and privacy. The villa pool area has two excellent Viking Grills so we BBQ'd almost every night. This is one of the most beautiful Westin properties I have seen. St. John has amazing beaches. Renting a jeep is not required, but we highly recommend it. The beach at the Westin is small and not very pretty by St. John standards. Rent a jeep and explore. There are taxis but it is more economical to rent a jeep if you have 4+ travelers (much more flexible too). The biggest complaint about the villa was the pullout bed on the first floor: not too comfortable. This is a minor ding on a great villa. We want to come back to the same place next year."

  • Paradise Found

"If you love the beach, what could be more perfect then vacationing on one of St John's beautiful beaches. The front yard is literally on Gibney Beach. It proved to be the perfect get away for two and we are making plans to return next year. A second house on the property is larger and would be good for two couples or a family with children. I totally agree with the rave reviews that are already posted. The beach cottage is charming and well taken care of by the owner, who lives on the property. Located inside The Virgin Island National Park, it is a short easy drive to Cruz Bay and the other famous North shore beaches. The owner Teri and the groundskeeper Israel are very friendly and eager to help make your stay wonderful. The Gibney family are a part of St John's history and are mentioned in books about St John. I loved staying at The Gibney Beach Cottage and am no longer searching for the perfect villa for our St John vacations."

  • Casual Elegance

"Our 7 night stay was truly....Almost Heaven! We enjoyed every minute. The view of Coral Bay from the villa's screened in balcony was so beautiful to wake up to each morning and the best way to relax at the end of each evening. Very spacious, private, clean and well designed and decorated. We felt like it truly was our home away from home. Thank you for sharing your beautiful villa for all to experience! Other notes: Our son stayed in Cruz Bay the same week. We traveled from Coral Bay to Cruz Bay several times to get together. Coral Bay is much more relaxing, quiet, peaceful and away from the touristy area. While we enjoyed both places. Coral Bay by far won our hearts as the place to come back to. Top beaches: Maho; about a 15 minute drive. Salt Pond; about a 10 minute drive Top restaurant: Aqua Bistro;"
