  • Even better in person

"The view!!! This property makes for the perfect scenic trip to the islands. Secluded, striking the right mix of privacy while maintaining nearby attractions/amenities. The owner is helpful offering their own experiences and favorites for suggested activities. If dinner out isn't your thing, everything you could need is available to make a top notch meal with even better views to enjoy it with. Trust me, once you arrive and descend the stairs for the first time, you will understand."

  • An absolutely perfect paradise getaway!

"This condo is the perfect place to unwind and experience the perfect relaxing vacation. First of all, I cannot say enough about Peter and Kim...they were so welcoming and helpful with directions and advice! They even dropped by before our arrival to turn on the AC for us! The condo itself was extremely clean and stocked with everything you'd need for the beach! (Snorkeling gear, beach towels, several coolers, chairs and even binoculars!) The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and everything you'd need for cooking or blending frozen drinks! The condo also came equipped with wifi, satellite TV, DVD player, books and games....basically everything you'd need to feel right at home! The unit comes equipped with two awesome AC units and a bed that is just heavenly!! We slept better than we have in years! As for the outside, there are two separate balconies for eating breakfast or waking to have coffee off your bedroom....both have AMAZING views! We always felt very safe at the location! It's the perfect spot as it's a five minute trip into Red Hook and has several really nice beaches within walking distance! We would recommend the beach at Secret Harbour which is right up the street! If you rent a car, which was a huge plus, then it's a short drive into town to take the car ferry to St. John (a must do) I know for a fact that if....I mean WHEN we return to St. Thomas, we will call Peter and Kim and stay here again! It was the perfect getaway!"

  • Private, Quiet with a Beautiful View!

"I had the opportunity to stay at this condo for nine days along with my fiancé and we had a wonderful stay. The property is located off the beaten path, is very quiet yet close to Red Hook amenities such as restaurants, bars, stunning beaches, ferry to St John and most things we needed. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Everyone we came into contact was very friendly. There was a small market in Red Hook that has closed but there is a bigger supermarket located slightly west and is about a five minute drive. A car is almost a necessity here although cabs will respond. The unit was stocked with everything we needed and there were no problems at all. Dawn was responsive to our questions before the trip and everything went as planned. We loved sleeping with the doors open and hearing the waves lap at the shore very close by. The unit has AC but we seldom used it because we liked the night sounds so much. This is my fourth stay in St Thomas and I love it very much. We took walks every morning which allowed us to see some other very interesting properties as well as scenic vistas very close by. If you have never been, you will be amazed at the scenery along with St John. We rented from Avis which allows cars on the ferry to St John. Parking in Red Hook can be a challenge but there is a free underground parking garage that we found after a few days, take a right at the sign for Molly Malone’s if heading east just as you enter the center. Our favorite beach is Lindquist which is located between Sapphire and Coki. The water is crystal clear for good snorkeling, bring a cooler. Secret Harbor is a good place for a snorkel and a sunset cocktail and is very close by the condo , it is calm and protected if there is too much wind at the east facing beaches. Red Hook is a blast and we will return and stay in this property again, it is a great value. Thanks Dawn, Jay and Wendie Newport, RI"

  • Very clean, nice location, easy to get around and navigate

"I couldn't decide between three stars or four because the home was very nice but we just felt the description was off. First off, the house was very clean. It was fully stocked with everything we needed. The escort met us at the rental car desk and was very helpful. The thing we didn't like was that the two king bedrooms on the lower level are completely separate from the rest of the house. They have sliding glass doors with separate locks and an outside entrance. They are almost like two separate mini apartments. I do not feel the description of the home explains this well enough. We traveled with young children and did not feel comfortable leaving them sleeping downstairs in the evening while we sat up at the pool. Our only option would have been to lock the kids in from the outside - meaning they couldn't open the door to get out if they needed something. For one of the rooms we brought a baby monitor but the monitor did not work well upstairs. Also, it was just a nuisance to always have to be searching for or holding onto a key. We were warned to keep the rooms downstairs locked when we were upstairs so we were always having to keep track of keys even when we were "home". Second, the beach is all rocks and shells. Doug was open about saying that it was not a beach for young children but I thought it would be softer than it was. We really didn't use the beach at all except to kayak once or twice and went to the other sandy beaches. If we could do it over again I wouldn't bother to pay for a house on or near the beach and would just rely on a pool. Although, the view was beautiful. The house was very clean and it was close to Red Hook with restaurants and food shopping nearby. The island itself is very easy to navigate by car. We sent a shopping list in advance and had most of our food shopping done for us which worked out quite nicely. We did enjoy eating most meals outside and we spent the majority of our time around the pool when we weren't at an off-site beach. We rarely turned on the TV and enjoyed the beautiful weather."
