"We look forward to staying at the Stonehouse again! This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever been on and the Larimar unit was perfect for the two of us. There are so many wonderful and thoughtful features at the Stonehouse...from the beautiful plants & landscaping to the complimentary snorkel gear, beach bags and beach chairs we had everything we needed and much more. With a quick trip to the local grocery store (thanks Robert & Joanie!) we stocked up on breakfast and lunch items and walked down the road for dinner at Secret Harbour Beach. After visiting other beaches on St. Thomas, we quickly discovered we had the best beach right down the road (only a 10 minute walk!). We were glad we didn't rent a car since taxis are always available to take you to other beaches/hot spots on St. Thomas and we were especially glad since we spent most of our time at Secret Harbour Beach anyway. I was also amazed by all of the friendly little creatures at the Stonehouse...loved seeing the hummingbirds, iguanas, small lizards and birds & even deer in the garden right outside our front door and private deck. The privacy here is amazing! If you are looking for a fun and relaxing vacation, this is the place!"

"Stonehouse is perfect for any couple looking to get away from the grind. We instantly fell in love with the charm of the place. It had everything we needed; beach chairs, cooler, cooking supplies, as well as all the appliances one could ask for. The location was very desirable. Close enough to the beach where you can walk, yet settled up in the hills so that the views are spectacular. The villa boasts an indoor hammock and window shutters that open out to the sea. It was in the low 80s outside however the inside was always cool because of the big ceiling fans that always circulated air coming in from the sea. It is a 5 minute taxi ride into Red Hook, where you can find nightlife, restaurant and other entertainment. All in all - everything you need for a relaxing time!"

"Blue Sky is a wonderful home base for your trip to the Virgin Islands. It sits on Ridge Road, overlooking Vessup Bay off the back porch with views of the Caribbean out the front door and across the street. The neighborhood is quiet, with only the occasional traffic passing on the way to or from the Secret Harbor beach and resort just down the hill. While the drive back downtown is quick, you will also be minutes away from the Red Hook ferry terminal and easy access to many other islands.
You will find the house clean, secure, and well equipped. With a full kitchen (including a nicely stocked spice pantry) and a grocery store just minutes away, you do not need to rely on restaurant food if you do not want to. There are appropriate security features but the area is so safe and quiet that they must simply be there almost exclusively for deterrence.
Joanie was 100% honest and cordial in her dealings. She was helpful and available without being intrusive, and she gave generously of her local knowledge. She even provided us an excellent reference for a babysitter.
Rent Blue Sky with confidence.
If you can take your eyes off the harbor, spend some time studying the trees below the back porch. You might just find an iguana or two soaking up some sun.
Ludy's Place is a food truck that is parked to the left of the Food Center parking lot as you look at it from the road. The ladies there serve up delicious food at a reasonable price. It was so good we ate there twice.
Check the cruise ship schedules online. While we were there, Saturday was a no-cruise-ship day so we ventured downtown to walk around. We stumbled onto a great open-air market and got to enjoy a small taste of callaloo while listening to one of the great Caribbean sounds: Men playing dominos and arguing about it. I rarely feel so happily far from home."

"Our second stay in as many years and we look forward to staying there again next year. Great location. Faces north (sort of) so no early am sun on the porch. Great place for coffee and relaxing in the am. Appreciated the carryable (is that a word?) beach chairs and extra towels. Nice value for the price."
