"We stayed for 4 days at Point Pleasant - an amazing getaway/ once you close that door - you are totally removed from everyday life! The views from the condo at any vantage point were awesome. This condo has been updated in the last 12 months and very comfortable. Lots of deck furniture to relax and take in the serenity of the area. Point Pleasant transportation was very helpful within the property as there are some pretty steep climbs to get to where the office and taxi pick up is. Red Hook is just a short taxi cab ride away and is a great place to eat and hang out. We walked over to an adjacent beach where you could walk in and snorkel on some nice corral areas. Sailed with Simplicity Charter -- all day sail -- snorkeled on islands that were bypassed by the cruise ships - swam with the stingrays and sea turtles - would highly recommend this charter group. Juliet and Bernadette tended to our every need! I will be back!"

"We stayed at our unit at the Point Pleasant Resort for an entire glorious week. The view from our unit was priceless; we couldn't get enough of it! The magnificient king sized bed faced the eastern balcony, so you could watch the sun come up!
We read the binder the owner wrote and found it chock full of useful information. At the unit the owner granted us access to a regular sized cooler, and a mini one that was very convenient, basic scuba gear, and beach chairs, (it costs $5.00 to rent a chair on the beaches, not to mention overpriced drinks) so we were able to save a few bucks!
We had more towels than we could use (vital for beach bumming!) We were able to cook meals in the kit
Coki beach, a beautiful little beach was just a ten minute walk from our unit, very convenient when we wanted to chill and not visit the numerous other beaches on the island! We opted not to rent a Jeep, the favorite vehicle on the island most likely because I chickened out, at the prospect of driving on the "wrong" side of the road!
However we did not regret it, as we had access to the resorts shuttles for trips down to the main road where we made use of local taxis, and visited St. John for a day trip to Trunk Bay.
I highly recommend this condo to aspiring vacationers!"

Lush, tropical environment for family friendly adventures
"We arrived on a Sunday afternoon to find the condo clean and exactly like the pictures in the VRBO listing. The view was stunning with a gentle breeze coming on to the balcony. We comfortably fit a family of five in the unit, which included a 5yo and a grandparent. We had a four door Jeep and found Red Hook to be great for getting groceries and eating out. Waking up early allows witness to a peaceful and beautiful sunrise, the sound of birds, a gentle breeze and a good cup of coffee before action packed days on the island. We explored the resort beach and the three pools the first day, Magens Bay on the second day, a day of sailing to St John and snorkeling on the Daydreamer on day three, Mountain top and touring the island on day four, Secret Harbour on day five... so many beaches and sights, not enough time. The location is a 15 acre hillside preserve area, the island of St Thomas has hills and mountains, you will need to be able to walk up and down steps and steep paths and/or drive a car on the left side of the road up and down switchbacks to get around. Taxis and bus tours are available also. The island is loaded with exotic birds, iguanas, goats, chickens, etc. The beaches allow immediate snorkeling with all kinds of fish, sea urchins, even eels. Our 5yo is a big fan of the Octonauts on Disney Junior, he lived their adventures every day we were on St Thomas. Most days were breezy, 85 and no rain until the last day on the island. A good DSLR camera, a GoPro or even an iPhone will let you capture the memories of your adventures. It is day two since we came back to the mainland, we are already planning our next adventure back."
