  • Comfortable home away from home

"We enjoyed our stay at Crystal Cove. The proximity to the beach was a plus and it was fun catching sight of the iguanas. If we were to do it again, we'd rent a car. It was just not safe to walk into town (Red Hook) because the traffic on the road is nuts and there is no place to walk. The Safari (local bus-$1 per person) is a great option but it only goes INTO town ... you need to get a cab back @ $5 per person. Closest grocery store is about 2 miles and very expensive. Again, you take the Safari there but have to take a cab back. Our favorite place to eat in Red Hook was Tap & Still.....great hamburgers and only $7. Great happy hour prices too! We also took the ferry to St. John. Wish we'd gone earlier in the day though.....so much to do and not enough time to do it. Only negative we had with the condo was the bed. While it was nice to have a king size bed, for us, the mattress was just too hard and the sheets slippery because of the type of mattress pad on the bed. It would have been nice to have room-darkening shades on the bedroom windows too because of the light coming from the parking lot behind the condo. Minor discomforts but enough to make a comment about. I would recommend this condo if you like hard beds because the rest of the stay was great."

  • Upstairs condo at Sapphire Beach, Crystal Cove

"Fantastic!! Would highly recommend this to anyone. Working with the owner was great. Very nice, clean condo. Would definitely request this same condo again. The management on the property was excellent too, if we had any problem or concern they were on it immediately! The beach is so close. Quality, affordable condos near Red Hook, like this one, are the best and safest places to be on the island. This is our 2nd year in coming here and this is where I would prefer to stay for sure!"

  • Perfect condo

"My husband and 2 children spent 5 days in d30 we loved it, we have no complaints, it was very spacious, clean, modern! The property managers alice and Bernie were right on site, we got beach towels extra sheets blankets easily. If I had to suggest 1 thing for improvement it would be to have beach chairs that we could pack in the jeep and take with us to other islands."

  • Nice, convenient place to stay

"This was a nice studio with a very convenient location. We never put the murphy bed in the "up" position - no need to. Plenty of space! We did have a few hiccups - when we arrived the condo was still a mess from the previous renters. Turned out the housekeeper had her dates wrong. She quickly sent her sweet daughter over to remedy the situation. We had an issue with the wi-fi, but got it fixed. There were also cockroaches but after speaking with a local, she said that was normal. Overall a great stay. Easy to catch taxis and safaris to town/ferry, etc."

Crystal Cove at Sapphire Bay West Travel Tips

Vacation with Substance Using Crystal Cove Vacation Rentals

With the popularity of networks like the History Channel, Discovery Channel, and National Geographic, it’s clear that we are looking for a little more depth in our entertainment these days. Entertainment that is educational can be enlightening and can spur hours of stimulating conversation. With all of the empty reality television, people are wanting more out of their down time than mindless chatter and empty drama. A great vacation can really be enhanced with culture and history. Visiting St. Thomas resorts and staying in one of the many Crystal Cove vacation rentals is a perfect way to add meaning and depth to your relaxing getaway.  There is so much to learn and explore, like Crystal Cove State Park, that the conversations will be great.

The Most Options for the Greatest Freedom

When you decide to book your choice of Crystal Cove villas on VRBO.com, you can live like a local, giving you the freedom to check out the “tourist-y” places without falling prey to tourist traps. You can dine where the locals dine, like the Beachcomber Restaurant, and really have the most freedom to relax and choose how you want to vacation. Crystal Cove vacation rentals offer an immense selection of amenities so you can relax and read by a private infinity pool or enjoy a gourmet kitchen and private chef if you so choose.

Culture Adds Dimension to Vacationing

St. Thomas was initially occupied by the Danish and there are many fascinating, historical points of interest throughout the island. Fort Christian, built in 1680, was once a jail and now serves as a museum housing art and objects from the Danish period. The St. Thomas Synagogue is the oldest synagogue in continuous use on American land. Also, for those who love a good pirate intrigue, Blackbeard’s Castle is a tower that was used by the pirate known as “Blackbeard” and it still stands as a historical site. Vacation in beautiful Crystal Cove while relaxing, playing, and absorbing the interesting history of St. Thomas.
