"Two of my girlfriends and I just got back from staying at this condo in the Virgin Islands for Spring Break. We had the most incredible vacation ever and our living space had a huge hand in it. The condo is right on the beautiful Sapphire beach with crystal white sand and aqua blue waters. The patio is so great to eat breakfast on or just to enjoy the sound of the ocean and breeze at night. There were times when I had to force my friends to leave the apartment so we could go explore the island because they were so attached to the place The pictures are very true to the actual space and the condo is very cozy. The snorkeling on our beach was awesome because there was a lot of coral on the beach and we saw so many different types of fish. What we absolutely loved about the Sapphire Beach was its location and its close proximity to the town of Red Hook. We were less than half a mile away from town, we walked a couple of times or took the dollar cab from the top of the hill. Kirk, the owner, was very helpful in answering all our questions and we had a very comfortable stay. We got back from vacation less than a week ago and we are already planning our next Spring Break trip back here. I would recommend this place to all my friends and my family (I already have). Happy Vacation Everyone!"Guest: Neyha R. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 26, 2014View listing
"My husband, two teen daughters, and I had a wonderful time at this quiet, clean and lovely condo. It is very spacious, with two bathrooms and both Murphy Bed and Futon in the living room (the girls loved not sharing a bed). The condo is very nicely decorated, with all the comforts of home. It also is located very close to the beach. The beach was lovely - great for swimming or snorkeling. There are ducks and iguanas on the beach, which adds a little extra fun (watch out a little with the iguanas though - my husband decided to hand feed one of them and got a little nip). We rented a car and explored the island. Red Hook is a fun little town. Duffy's Love Shack is a great place to eat. One night we bought rotisserie chicken, beans and rice from the Food Center grocery store for dinner. It was a nice choice for a quiet, inexpensive dinner at the condo. The condo owner, Brent, was super helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!!!"Guest: Catherine B. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 7, 2014View listing
"I won’t repeat all the positive comments so far, but can confirm they’re all true. Greg has a great, clean little place here and you can’t beat the location. He’s stocked a good supply of books if it’s just a few days on the beach catching a tan, and if you didn’t bring your own gear, he’s got a good stash of snorkel gear in the closet. Another huge plus, the snorkeling is fantastic here right off the beach. Our routine: wake up, snorkel, eat lunch, lie in the sun, snorkel, lie in the sun with a cocktail, hit the pool, head into town to find dinner – repeat 5 times. For some time out on the water, along with Greg’s recommendations for charters, I’ll add Yacht Nightwind which is also just across the parking lot in the marina. If you don’t rent a car, be sure to get a cab to take you the ¾ mile into Red Hook (cabs are not a problem here), stop in at Island Time Pub, split a salad and some wings and take home a 16” pizza for breakfast. Food Center also has some good roasted chicken as well as some local favorite dishes. We had a great time Greg, thanks for the perfect week. Be back in a couple months."Guest: Rich H. "My husband and I honeymooned at Sea Glass at Sapphire Beach during mid-September, and it was a beautiful experience. We rented snorkel gear from the resort's dive shop for the entire week and had so much fun just walking out the door each morning to swim with the fish, rays, and (our favorite) sea turtles! I loved being so close to the water, and it was incredibly relaxing sitting on the spacious porch to read a good book. I often caught myself simply staring off into the water or across the way to beautiful St. John. September is technically the "off season," and I was a little concerned about the weather, but we had no issues at all. It rained VERY briefly for about 5-10 minutes each day, which is pretty standard beach weather. Otherwise, it was all sunny skies. The island was pretty quiet, which suited us just fine. We had a blast going into Red Hook for dinner (or to catch a couple football games). Everyone was extremely friendly. We took the Safari taxis around ($1 fare pp) as much as possible, but they only run during daylight hours. Otherwise, normal taxis are extremely accessible. Most of our time was spent around the condo and resort area relaxing, but we took a couple of excursions. Highly recommend the Bad Kitty day cruise to see quite a few spots around the islands and see some beaches it would be difficult to get to otherwise. We finally went to St. John our last day, and I wish we had gone sooner! We had SO much fun renting a Jeep and cruising around the exotic island. The condo was very comfortable and had everything we could have needed. We picked up some supplies at the Kmart and had snacks, coffee, and a couple meals around the place. Highly recommend Sea Glass at Sapphire! Already dreaming of going back one day."Guest: Laura Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 7, 2014View listing
