"My husband and I stayed in this unit from 10/17/14 - 10/24/14 and are happy we did! If you are expecting a 5 star resort, this isn't the place for you. This condo was exactly as described - the only surprise was the view! WOW! It is breathtaking, the photos on here do not do it justice. Sitting out on your balcony watching the sunrise is a must while you are here! The bed was comfortable & it was nice to have the A/C. It was very hot & sunny while we were there so coming back to a cool room was a plus. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some meals at home. We ate breakfast every morning in the condo & used the outside grill one night to make dinner. Loved the grocery store right in Red Hook, as well as Cost-U-Less which was about 15 minutes away. There are 2 pools in the condo complex - we used both while we were there to cool off & they were both never crowded. We often had the smaller one right behind the condo to ourselves. The bar & restaurant on site were closed for the month of October, but the BBQ food truck at the entrance to the condo (Off The Grid) was delicious!! $15 for all you can eat ... we ate there twice during our stay! There was a pizza place recommended by the women who lived next door that delivered. I forget the name (maybe Senor Pizza?), but we did order from them one night - free delivery! It was decent pizza, nothing to rave about but if you don't want to go out every night, they were the only option we could find for delivery. The location of this condo is great. You are just minutes from Red Hook where we went most nights for dinner. Lots of restaurants to choose from & all of the ones we tried were delicious! We also liked that it was close to the ferry to St. John. We drove down to Sapphire Beach one day to check out the beach. The beach is beautiful & there was some good snorkeling! We forgot our snorkel stuff at home and were happy to see snorkels in the condo for use! We brought them with us to various beaches & saved money by not having to rent. I do recommend having a car to explore other beaches. We loved Coki Beach which was just a short drive from the condo. Megans Bay & Brewers Bay were also wonderful. If you are looking for a place to stay, I would recommend this unit!"

  • Good experience

"This was our first time in doing a VRBO. Greg was very responsive to both email and telephone. A major problem was the lack of wireless. I called Greg and told him and he had a firm come out and fix it the next day. It was fine after that. The condo was fine. It was clean and everything was functional. It was about 25 steps from the water which we snorkled in three times. We were not happy with the bed, but we have had worse in hotels. The bed was long enough but narrower than a true king. The condo is a studio with a kitchen. All appliances worked just fine and the utensils were good. All tile floor. I had problems with the lock and could not get it, but my wife got it on the first try. My glasses were stolen from the back table on our patio. The power went out once and the telephone did not work. I do not blame Greg or Aimee for that, rather it is life on the Virgin Islands. I called Greg about the power going out and it turns out that he keeps matches and a lighter and candles for that reason. In general we would have given it an A+ except for the bed."

  • Great stay for a family!

"Staying at Kirk's condo is one of the best decisions we made for this trip. He was very professional, prompt in replying to emails and any questions you have. Even though our condo was not cleaned when we checked in, he contacted his housekeeper Maria (?) right away. Maria was so nice that she not only cleaned the unit for us, but also called from her cell to get our AT&T GoPhone activitated. She was very helpful. Thanks, Maria! The condo is exactly as in the pictures. Simply sit in the unit is enjoyful with the beautiful view of the beach. We liked the Sapphire beach without many crowds and gated with security. In terms of activities, Coral World Ocean Park worth a visit, snorkelling at Coki beach is my favorite. A bonus of staying here is you can buy the fresh cought fish from Chris at the Marina nearby. We don't even want to go to the restaurant with the delicious fish on our table! Would highly recommend Kirk's condo, priced well. We would come back again if stay at St Thomas. Thanks, Kirk and Maria!"

  • Vacation perfection!

"We visited St Thomas for my wife's 50th birthday. We picked Sea Glass as our home base for the week and couldn't be happier with the choice. The condo is very spacious for its size and the interior is cozy and charming. Everything was clean and well maintained. The "beachy" decor was perfect for the gorgeous oceanfront view. We really enjoyed building E as it was away from the busy part of the beach. It felt very secluded and private. We are avid stand-up paddleboarders and rented boards for the week. We paddled at Sapphire Beach, Frenchman's Reef near the Marriott, Brewer's Beach and Hull Bay. Loved every minute! We also snorkeled a lot at Sapphire. The reef is beautiful and there is a lot to see. Plenty of turtles and rays as well as reef tropicals. Red Hook is just down the street with plenty of restaurants and bar options. We had a blast at Duffy's and Molly Malone's. We also went to Iggy's at Bolongo Bay about three times. Great food and beachfront vibe. We spent a day on the Second Wind yacht charter and had an amazing day with Capt Wolfgang, Jeff and Nikki. Great food, drink and great options for places to swim, snorkel and dive. Highly recommend a day with them if you want to be spoiled on a 57' cruiser! We also took the ferry over to St John for a day trip and really enjoyed it as well. So much to explore and we feel we barely scratched the surface! We will definitely be back and Sea Glass will be our choice every time (Until we figure out how to move there and get our own place! LOL). Phil and Angela are a great team and you will have a great experience renting this unit through them. Do not hesitate to book your dates right now!"
